Berserk God of War

135: Chapter 135: The Lord of Yunzhou, Approaching Yunye 135: Chapter 135: The Lord of Yunzhou, Approaching Yunye Sikong Jing’s slap was much fiercer than during the selection battle in Yunye City.

Instantly, Duan Chengshan’s face swelled up from the hit.

Clutching his face, Earth Realm True Qi surged wildly throughout his body as he roared in madness, “Yunye Soldiers, listen to my command!

In the name of the City Lord, I order you to capture this criminal.”

Even now, after being struck, Duan Chengshan did not want to kill Sikong Jing but wanted to torment him severely.

After issuing the command, he stared at Sikong Jing with malicious intent.

“What do you think you are?”

“So what if your Martial Arts have improved rapidly, what does it matter if you’ve returned leading troops?

I am the City Lord, I am the king of Yunye City!”

Having said that, he looked up at the Yunye Soldiers and commanded, “What are you waiting for?

Seize this criminal.”

Upon hearing this, Su Yuexi’s face showed a flash of panic.

And Su Zhenglong’s heart began to thump wildly.

Indeed, no matter how formidable Sikong Jing was, he couldn’t defeat thirty thousand Yunye Soldiers; as the soldiers of the Great Shang Dynasty, they had to obey the City Lord.

But what stunned countless people happened once again.

Ah Hu and Old Zhang stepped out, approaching Duan Chengshan and, to everyone’s surprise, they extended their hands and slapped him across the face—smack, smack…

Two hefty slaps landed on Duan Chengshan’s face.

Having slapped him, they returned to their formation without saying a word.

Duan Chengshan and the others were dumbstruck—what was happening?

Had Ah Hu and Old Zhang gone mad?

Before they could regain their composure, dozens of Generals slowly stepped out, forming a circle around Duan Chengshan and one by one, they continued slapping his face, with the sound of smacks echoing around them.

Boom!

Duan Chengshan’s Earth Realm True Qi roared as he shouted with a face resembling a pig’s head, “How dare you strike me?

Are you staging a rebellion?”

But what responded to him was the cold laughter of the thirty thousand Yunye Soldiers.

A rebellion?

It wasn’t the first time.

The moment Fan Zhong retreated without providing aid, the thirty thousand Yunye Soldiers’ allegiance to the Great Shang Dynasty had already died.

If Fan Zhong truly couldn’t have saved them at the time, they would have been willing to die in battle.

But Fan Zhong was able to rescue them; if only he had led the troops into the city, he could have safely rescued everyone and seized a great victory.

Instead, they were left to endure a life-and-death ordeal.

If it weren’t for Sikong Jing’s miracle in the Dark Dragon Mountain Range, they would be buried in foreign lands by now.

Death is not to be feared, but what is frightening is when some people want to indict them with unfounded charges, rendering their deaths utterly worthless.

Now, the only one in the eyes of the thirty thousand Yunye Soldiers was Sikong Jing.

At this moment, Sikong Jing slightly lifted his eyelids and said, “Duan Chengshan, this accusation you’ve placed upon me is hard for me to bear, but what I want to tell you is that now the thirty thousand Yunye Soldiers are listening to me.”

“In Yunye City, I am the ruler.”

Sikong Jing’s voice boomed heavily upon Duan Chengshan and the City Lord’s Guard Officers behind him.

At this moment, Duan Chengshan’s mind was buzzing.

The next instant, clank!

Thirty thousand Yunye Soldiers drew their weapons in unison, pointing them at Duan Chengshan and his followers, a terrifying murderous aura piercing through and causing the City Lord’s Guard Officers behind Duan Chengshan to spew blood together.

Su Zhenglong, on the carriage, stared at the scene in disbelief, utterly dumbfounded.

Was this domineering man truly his son-in-law?

Duan Chengshan was scared, completely stupefied with fear, as he backed away saying, “Criminal, what do you want to do?

You can’t kill me, otherwise the Lord of Yunzhou will definitely hold you accountable, especially since you are betrothed by his order.”

He never dreamed that in just over twenty days, the soldiers of Yunye City would all turn against Sikong Jing.

Remembering all he had done to the father and daughter, Su Zhenglong and Su Yuexi, Duan Chengshan was drenched in cold sweat, terrified and feeling as if his soul was escaping.

He was truly afraid that Sikong Jing would kill him on the spot.

Now Duan Chengshan had only one lifeline left, and that was to use the Lord of Yunzhou as leverage to oppress, to threaten.

Suddenly, a figure rushed over, and it was a messenger from Yunye City.

“City Lord, the Lord of Yunzhou has issued an order.

He will arrive at Yunye City in three two-hour periods and requires you to come out and greet him,” the messenger said.

After delivering his message, the messenger gave a strange look to his surroundings.

It seemed like something wasn’t right, but he didn’t ask any further and left.

The scene quieted down once again until Duan Chengshan suddenly burst into a mad laugh, “Hahaha, criminal, the Lord of Yunzhou will be here in three two-hour periods.

Go ahead, kill me—if you dare!”

His momentum had suddenly reversed as Duan Chengshan shouted and ranted in excitement.

Afterward, he narrowed his eyes and looked at Sikong Jing.

“The Lord of Yunzhou granted you a marriage; you must have had a prominent status before, didn’t you?”

“But he just wants to torment you.

If he sees how spry and active you are now, will he decide to cripple you again?”

“And your beautiful wife, do you think he might add new scars to her face?”

“Go ahead, kill me.

I’ll be waiting for you on the Netherworld Road,” he taunted.

Though he spoke thus, Duan Chengshan knew Sikong Jing didn’t dare kill him; otherwise, he would indeed be forced into rebellion.

“Brother Jing…”

At this moment, Su Yuexi’s face also turned pale, filled with worry.

Su Zhenglong’s fists were clenched white.

Previously, Duan Chengshan wanted to seize the treasure from Ajing’s hands, so he didn’t report the situation to the Lord of Yunzhou.

But now, the situation had changed completely.

Pushed to this extent, Duan Chengshan would surely report everything.

What’s more frightening was that the Lord of Yunzhou might have come to check on Ajing’s situation.

Suddenly, Sikong Jing moved swiftly to the brazen and unruly Duan Chengshan, grabbing his arm and then viciously breaking it, resulting in a piercing scream echoing through Yunye City.

Su Zhenglong’s and Su Yuexi’s eyes widened; even at a time like this, Sikong Jing still dared to take action.

“Duan Chengshan, you forced my father-in-law down to his death.

This is just the interest,” Sikong Jing said coldly and without heart.

He then grabbed Duan Chengshan’s second arm and broke it just as ruthlessly, “And you wanted to give my wife to your son; that too is interest.”

Continuous screams erupted as Duan Chengshan screamed back, “Criminal, the Lord of Yunzhou will make you pay a hundredfold for this.”

Bang…

Sikong Jing followed with a palm strike to Duan Chengshan’s Dantian.

In an instant, the sounds of Duan Chengshan’s Dantian and meridians crackling crazily could be heard, as he collapsed to the ground like a mound of mud.

He stared at Sikong Jing frantically, “You’ve crippled me, you’ve actually destroyed my martial arts!”

Sikong Jing sneered and suddenly turned to the soldiers behind him, “Men, kill all the City Lord’s guard officers.”

No sooner had the words left his mouth than the guard officers began panicking as though they had seen ghosts.

“Criminal, you can’t kill us.”

“Damn you, you will be hacked to pieces.”

“The Lord of Yunzhou will arrive in three two-hour periods.

If he doesn’t see us, your entire family will be executed by dismemberment.”

Each one was shouting in terror, but Ah Hu and Old Fan and others were ferocious and went straight to killing everyone.

In a blink of an eye, in front of the thirty thousand Yunye Soldiers, only Duan Chengshan, a crippled man, remained alive.

After it was all done, Sikong Jing stared at Duan Chengshan again, speaking slowly, “Do you know why you’re still alive?

Because you’re about to know despair.

In three two-hour periods, the Lord of Yunzhou won’t reach Yunye City.”
