Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 945: Chapter 741: Searching for the Entrance to the Underdark

Hill laughed helplessly; sometimes, he really didn’t think things through... If the Undead Tribe wanted better mana potions, they would only go to William, why would they come to him?

Maybe it’s because he’s been living in this fantasy world for too long... he’d even forgotten that for a player in a game, if you want something, the simplest way is to look for the planning team.

The first Undead Priest who spoke actually hoped to gain Hill’s sympathy for their hardship and help them with some mana... William seemed to have set up a limited-time task for 3,000 people, with requirements on time and quality; if you can’t meet them, you’ll fail the task even if you accept it, essentially handing it over to someone else for free.

It seems like the Crystal Dragon’s injury is quite severe; even with the Undead Tribe’s high-level healing ability, numbers alone won’t help. It can only work through the use of a divine array.

Really... Hill thought helplessly... There’s no need for such a subtle approach. They could have just shouted a couple of times according to the old ways!

Then he belatedly realized: this time William might have assigned the task to the Scattered Ones or those families who gained fewer benefits from the city defense battle... these people aren’t as familiar with him.

After thinking for a moment, Hill asked, ”Where is that dragon now?”

”The Dwarves quickly carried her to the island... The east gate has already been dismantled,” answered an Undead.

Hill nodded and walked outside the Alchemy Hall: ”Then I’ll make the best use of my time.”

He directly released Water Mist and Water of Tranquility on the small plaza and turned to instruct the Undead Priests, ”Don’t let the Dwarves enter the range of the Water of Tranquility.”

”The Snow Old Dog from the Magic Cult is leading the way for the Dwarves. He has already notified Ms. Laila to greet those Mirabar Dwarves.

While we’re healing, they can go to City Hall to discuss future cooperation.

After the war, William moved the small house of the Mirabar Dwarves to the Snow Palace area.

This time, the Dwarves will definitely take all the kids back.”

Watching the team already on the long bridge, Hill turned around and went back to the hall: It seemed from the Undead’s words that William wouldn’t appear for the subsequent matters either.

”What are you planning with the Mirabar Dwarves, Your Majesty William?

At this point, is there any problem with me stepping in?” Hill couldn’t quite understand William’s approach— why he didn’t need Hill to step in but let Luskan take the stage instead.

”Hill, have you forgotten your identity as a Son of the Earth in Teraxil?” William lazily said, ”I asked those Dwarves staying in Agleya, and when they see you, there’s always a strange feeling: it’s like they see the perfect mineral in the world.

The more excellent the master forger, the stronger this feeling.

I bet the Mirabar Dwarves would be the same... I don’t know what the future relations with the Dwarves might turn into; it might become hostile, so I don’t want them to ultimately become your subjects.

But if they do see you, those Dwarves might kneel and swear allegiance... Tsk... Would they humble themselves just to one day have the chance to throw you into the furnace?

The Mirabar Dwarves are not of the Kind Alignment, you know~”

Hill looked up, surprised, ”What?”

”Why did the Gray Dwarves and Golden Dwarves have to attack Teraxil back then? Clearly, such an act would completely offend the Elven God King... That guy might be weak, but everyone knows you can’t kill him.

To put it in Dwarven words, our Teraxil has abundant and complete minerals, and no matter the ore, it’s exceptionally pure with rarely seen great quality. More importantly, the mineral regeneration time is very short.

I studied the messages left by those Dwarves for a long time. They truly believed that a star fortress made from Teraxil’s planet would be stronger than the Devil’s Mark City in the Outer Realm... It might even give Dwarves an endless mine of their own.

I think you also understand... how important this is to the Dwarves.

And the Dwarf Gods who know about this are not just one or two.

Especially the Deep Earth Lich Diyrinka; he definitely won’t give up on Teraxil easily.

You know, even among the Abyssal Lords, there are several who want to kill him; having a star fortress that can move freely and regenerate resources naturally is too important to him... Not to mention, he once was just one step away from success.

Compared to other deities, his ambition for Teraxil is definitely the deepest... How could he care about those Teraxil natives whom he’s toyed with for tens of thousands of years?”

William let out a cold laugh: ”Otherwise, why would it be so easy for me to make peace with Coron... Although it’s uncomfortable that the Elven God King will live well, compared to those Dwarves lurking in the dark eyeing Teraxil in the future, I can still forget about that bit of hatred.”

”Lord Radug of the Gray Dwarves and his daughter, along with Dilo Dwarf Lord Diyrinka...” William slowly recited these names. ”If we can’t even handle them... in the future, anyone might dare to reach for Teraxil.”

Hill said nothing. He knew very well that the world of Teraxil had already been discovered by this Toril Universe, so he had to show its strength.

Although the World Gate was initially controlled by William, no, the God of Time and Space, it doesn’t mean that capable deities can’t rush directly to Teraxil’s coordinates.

The Undead Tribe represents only the mid-to-low-level strength of Teraxil... Hill and Agleya could be considered part of the top... But strong ones won’t hesitate because of this; only by showing a stronger side of Teraxil will it work.

William absolutely believes that Hill will stand by his side in this matter.

After all, they both know that if Teraxil is truly destroyed, other deities might still have a chance to escape with their lives, but the Goddess of the Earth, who has already merged herself with the planet, would never survive.

Even if the great Cosmic World Tree has the ability to separate this goddess’s divine soul from the world, for this Earth Goddess, losing half of herself completely is a fate worse than death.

And the family of Earth Bears, which Hill cares about most, cannot possibly survive alone apart from this Earth Goddess.

So even though Hill is a Mage who values freedom, on this matter, he will always stand with the Teraxil Divinity.

The safety of one’s world cannot be left to mere luck.

William must find Diyrinka and even those two Gray Dwarves to let people know that Teraxil is not so easy to deal with.

People always pick the easy targets... If Teraxil shows great strength without relying on any power... some trouble will naturally steer clear of them.

When that time comes, enemies will only choose worlds that are easier to deal with.

Hill softly asked, ”What do you need me to do?”

”What you’re doing now is great...” William said with a smile, ”Especially when you killed that Ancient Green Dragon with three punches... I think even the deities in the Toril Star Realm would tremble watching that.”

Hill silently glanced at the crystal and gently made a fist for him to see.

”Hehe...” William chuckled awkwardly, ”You know... if your magical system abilities were strong, there’d be nothing surprising for Toril, since magic is part of Coron’s divinity.

But with such tremendous power... it’s obvious that you’ve inherited the powerful physique of a divinity from another world.”

Hill paid no attention to William’s nonsense...

”Alright... no more jokes.” William said slowly, ”You’re out here traveling and learning... So even though you’re strong, most people will think you’re not the strongest among Teraxil’s Archmages.

This is enough, what we need is the fear of those thinking of targeting Teraxil.”

Hill turned his head to look at the Undead Tribe outside: ”Your Pseudo Magic Net is already pretty good!”

”The highest level is no more than level twenty in Toril, so what does it count for? It seems very dominant in Toril, but once that Supreme God eases His control over the deities, this thing would be useless.” William said indifferently, ”It can only scare ordinary people.

Moreover, the Elemental Body is really useless against deities; a mere wave of a hand and it scatters.

In the end, we still have to fight ourselves.”

”How’s the Teraxil World?” Hill lowered his voice, even though he knew the Alchemy Hall was sealed, he chose to be cautious, since he had been out for so long, the world’s ascension should be just about done?

”The God of Time and Space might ascend to Strong Divine Power in the next thousand years, I think the Earth Goddess should be about the same?”

It’s already completed the ascension!

So those few deities with Intermediate Divine Power at the peak can start accumulating power again.

The two exchanged a few more sentences, and then neither said anything more, understanding each other’s thoughts: a thousand years later, Teraxil would truly be safe, after which William wouldn’t need to worry about these troublesome matters... The strength of associated deities and their own deities are completely different things.

”I’ve gotten all the intelligence I needed, that priest is indeed a follower of the Mother of Dwarves, very knowledgeable about her family’s past.

The Mirabar Dwarves, not only have ties with the Golden Dwarves, but also with the Gray Dwarves, and even the Dark Elves.” William suddenly said with a smile, ”I suspect there’s an underground passage leading to the Underdark beneath the World’s Ridge.

I think the White Dragon Queen is more likely to tell me where that place is.

So for me, this group of dwarves is no longer useful, they can’t possibly know many detailed underground secrets.

The task of the Undead Tribe now is to find this passage. While the Abyss cannot extend its claws, the sooner we act, the more complete the information we’ll get.

Before Toril returns to normal, clear out the Underdark, especially the Dilo Dwarves.

It would be best to annihilate them completely.

I will make sure the Undead Tribe takes an oil painting down there, to let those light-fearing little dwarves see real sunlight.”

He spoke with an airy tone, with no sense that he was talking about annihilating entire clans...

Hill listened expressionlessly, not finding William’s words cruel at all: if they hadn’t saved their own world back then, their bodies might have already become food for the Dilo Dwarves by now.
