Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 938: Chapter 734: The White Dragon Queen Still Coveting the Undead Tribe

Just as Hill was reminiscing for a while, he was startled by the panicked neighing of horses and angry roars… He jumped up and looked nervously toward the east.

Seeing the chaotic scene before him, Hill could only smile wryly and sit back down.

So it turned out to be the Undead Tribe causing trouble.

There were people laughing wildly everywhere on both sides and above Ice City.

Those who got soaked in the Mirar River due to the ice collapse were angrily roaring.

These Undead Tribe had been in the east for so long… It turns out they were looking for the best angle that allowed the ice surface to support a few people walking while causing it to shatter when a large group rushed over.

As for why Black Rose was the protagonist… After all, it’s a hub for civil engineering… Family members could be direct recruits for bridge building, many squad leaders had their own workers as subordinates.

Their jobs were really easy; the first time Hill knew construction workers could play games for 10 hours a day, the feeling was… only one word: sour.

In the Undead Tribe’s world, although they also needed construction workers, they rarely did hard labor themselves… It’s mainly mechanical work.

Thinking about their average daily working hours of 4 hours… Tsk, so Hill rarely asked about how construction was done over there, afraid of turning green with jealousy.

Although now he could single-handedly rival an Undead Tribe engineering team… The memories of his past life still made him a lemon.

After all, the future of that world would only move towards what the Undead Tribe had…

Hill supported his chin as he watched the Undead Tribe that had climbed ashore and pulled out their magic wands… Their calculations were really precise, probably because they determined that those returning from Mirabar were definitely in follow mode, so aside from wild charging into the city with no one following, there were also some who wandered slowly and didn’t catch up with the main force… The others all went into the water.

Follow mode is quite a pitfall… If the leader goes into the water, the ones following are doomed.

Black Rose is a skilled group, better at this than the student faction like Wenjian… Moreover, they don’t need such precise calculations, as long as most of the front part fell down, those guys at the back, even if they didn’t step on the cracked ice layer, would go into the water due to inertia and laziness.

Hill poured himself a glass of fruit wine, taking a light sip, today is truly a great day!

He glanced at Edna, who was riding on Elvia Tulais’ back, with a surprised and wide smile, and then silently turned his head: Actually, Weave could be considered the energy road, right? Learning some architectural knowledge is pretty good.

The Paladins who haven’t left the defense area yet were standing on the city walls quietly watching the actions of the Teraxil Elves: They probably understood better what kind of creatures Elves are… It’s the first time they’ve seen a race celebrate victory in such a way.

Even the well-informed, cold-hearted Heim followers were lying on the parapet, apparently wanting to figure out if these Otherworld Elves were real creatures…

Hill drank the wine in his glass in one gulp, although many Humans would attribute today’s actions of the Undead Tribe to the chaotic nature of Elves, as if they’re backing a black pot.

But… It’s just that Elves didn’t know they could do it like this before…

If Mulan Elves and the Agleya City Guards pull off something similar in the future, Hill definitely wouldn’t be surprised.

Hill thought about it and decided to wait a few days before leaving Luskan, besides possibly having to testify on Mirabar’s matters, he also wanted to see how the White Dragon Queen plans to arrange her kin.

Leaning on the sofa, watching the Undead Tribe below begin their life-or-death struggle… They were just pranked, can’t start a war for this small matter, so now, they just put away their weapons and started gathering large snowballs, engaging in a fierce battle of throwing, running, and adding fists and feet.

They mainly had to throw a few more down before the ice surface froze again, regardless of which side.

Once both sides mixed together… The ones thrown down might not be from any one side… Just because they were accomplices in mischief doesn’t mean they won’t turn against each other.

So the number of people joining the battle was increasing, many Undead who initially didn’t intend to get involved also rushed out of the city to join the fight.

Compared to battles with half-orcs, this strange snowball fight might be even more intense.

More Luskan People began to come out onto the city walls to watch the excitement; they really didn’t understand what madness had seized the Teraxil Elves.

It’s actually not surprising about the Undead Tribe. Since Toril World suddenly restarted, and the game started the all-attack mode, they couldn’t fight… The Temporal Artifact is very intelligent, able to analyze whether each instance of death was accidental or malicious, but William was really a jerk.

The red name penalty was heavy to the human endurance limit… Seemed better than outright account banning, yet actually wasn’t that much better… After all, with banning you can complain to the game company, but rolling out yourself leaves you blaming no one.

Accidental kills are now also a crime.

But even if it was truly an accident that injured someone, it still increases guilt turning them into red names.

During red name periods, both the Space-Time Shop and Hill’s shop are unable for shopping, and even many places can’t be entered… Short-term you can stay at home without going out, food and such bought by friends, long-term… Is he playing a game or serving time here?

Then one must figure out how to take on a redemption quest, commonly known as clearing a red name.

To clear a red name, one must seek the forgiveness of the person they have harmed before they can accept the quest.

This will be announced to the world: most people, if they are truly just unlucky, won’t be too harsh on these clumsy individuals, as agreeing or disagreeing will be made public.

But for those with poor skills, this is practically a form of extreme punishment… many from the Five Fireballs Sect have had to switch careers to become Water or Wood Mages, competing with Priests for business and turning into BUFF-giving robots while moonlighting as Detoxifiers.

But if it’s not just an accidental kill, the outcome is even more tragic.

Impulsiveness comes at a cost.

Either live happily as a wild man outdoors, eventually getting killed by some unknown creature and sent back to the city to be jailed with no escape… redemption quests in prison aren’t easy, you may as well choose to manually delete your account once caught.

Or directly confess, then return to Teraxil to complete a very troublesome series of red name clearing quests… it’s said that it takes at least half a month.

They find returning to Teraxil quite easy; log off and back on to be transferred directly.

So most people are extremely cautious… after all, they didn’t come to Toril to fight with their own kind!

If they really want to fight, they can apply to return to Teraxil to start a faction war! Over in Saral, one can still apply for a siege, every proper family has some kind of base, don’t they?

Unlike when they first arrived, they didn’t understand Toril and had no sentimental attachment, now they can’t bear to leave this world to return to Teraxil.

There’s no choice, currently Teraxil is really only suitable for living a leisurely pastoral life… people there have started buying estates, living lives of tending flowers, growing plants, and petting rabbits.

That life truly is beautiful, but it’s okay for an occasional escape, living like that every day… they are young, and mischief is their daily routine.

Toril suits them more instead.

Such an interesting world, such rich storylines… and there are so many peculiar Deities that match their imagination of a Fantasy World!

Tons of new anecdotes pop up daily, each prominent figure has life stories that could be talked about for days and nights.

The Undead Tribe feels so contented that they don’t want to go back—that’s their current state… so everyone has been holding back for a while.

This war without smoke allowed the Undead Tribe to vent some of their recent grievances… though it may not be sending their enemies into icy waters but perhaps dropping their old friends or even themselves.

But that’s the fun of it!

The exhilarating snowball fight continued until the ice surface could no longer be broken, then gradually stopped; just throwing snowballs was no longer interesting… even embedding a stone inside wasn’t much fun, as everyone’s heads are now quite hard.

Edna and her white dragon companion have constantly remained on the battlefield, tirelessly cheering for her friend fighting on the front line.

Hill thought Elvia Tulais’s expression was interesting; she likely never imagined having such a lively day herself.

But the White Dragon Queen tenaciously held her ground, always seeming to be observing the ‘Old Age Striking King’ dashing about in the crowd.

However, while she was watching the Undead Tribe, on the other side, Hill was also observing her.

Hill couldn’t quite understand whether this dragon was fortunate or miserable… her choices originally stemmed from her own best interests, akin to her current reluctance to give up the idea: ensuring a contract between the Undead Tribe and her white dragonkin.

Hill could imagine what this sufficiently cunning giant dragon was contemplating: that one day the Teraxil Elves would leave Toril, something slightly informed people in this world are aware of.

This is Coron’s public promise.

Even if this time could last for hundreds or even thousands of years, the White Dragon isn’t unendurably patient, Elvia Tulais always had great endurance, while the other White Dragons… once satiated, they harbor no other thoughts.

Otherwise, the White Dragon wouldn’t be a magical pet that many Mages like to tame… although they aren’t smart enough, they are undoubtedly obedient.

Doing this, not only allows those White Dragons that struggled to survive in their youth to live but also lets them learn many things from the Teraxil Elves, perhaps even securing some territory when they leave Toril.

Elvia Tulais’s thought is quite pleasant, but likely only achievable when well-fed and well-watered.

Most importantly… White Dragons truly like to emulate their master’s style… when the White Dragon Queen judges others by herself, why doesn’t she consider what kind of person her master is?
