Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 933: Chapter 729: The Female Dwarf Who Burst into the Alchemy Hall

Upon returning to his study, Hill soon received preliminary information from Laila: indeed, there had been recent political turmoil in Sel.

The head of the Necromancy Sect, the lich Sazzastan, is vying for the position of Speaker of the Red Robe Mage Council… It turns out that the faithful follower of the Dark Fire Element Mage, Lord of Flames Kashus, is now missing…

Currently, control of the Kingdom of Sel has shifted from the Elemental School to the Necromancy Sect.

Some mages who insist on absolute neutrality and do not wish to become liches choose to leave Sel; Elminster had just returned from there a few days ago, reportedly having saved many from the pursuit of necromancers.

Mages overly reliant on the Weave and those purely based on elemental magic suffered heavily this time.

Weave Mages can still manage… After reaching level 17, those who do not know how to cast spells without the Weave basically have no future to speak of.

But for Elemental Mages, this time was extremely tough. They had sacrificed other factions, boosting all their power to enhance the attack power of elemental spells… Before the world restructuring, they indeed represented a very powerful sect of mages in Toril.

Especially the Fire Element Mages… the Fire Element Sovereign is very willing to crown anyone who devotes themselves to the flames.

But now, the Elemental Lords have almost completely lost their means of interfering with Toril.

Hill once attempted to summon a few common-level elements, but even for him, it proved very difficult.

He was able to produce Wind and Earth Elements, but they weren’t summoned from the Elemental Realm; rather, they were created thanks to the divinities of the two elements he inherently possessed…

It was at that time that Hill finally understood what the Wind Element Kais he had crafted truly signified… He may have created a natural deity for the Wind Elemental Realm.

Thus, even though Hill himself did not possess any Wind Bloodline, he was very adept at Wind Spells, almost able to move the wind at will.

As for Earth Elements, there’s little more to say… Small Earth Elementals like tiny light orbs, he could summon them with ease!

Even people like Hill, who were closely connected to elements, could not open the door to the Elemental Realm… One can only imagine how severely the Church of the Fire Element Sovereign Kashus in Sel will be hit.

The largest Temple of Kashus on the Ferun Great Land is located in Byzantine City in Sel, the blazing fire basin… Countless Sel Mages have offered him their faith.

Those always yearning for the complete restructuring of the world have seen the restructuring, but it is entirely different from their goal of burning the entire world… The restructured world even refuses the presence of the Lord of Flames.

In other places, followers of the flame might silently await the return of their Main God, but not in Sel.

The Sel People have always believed from the bottom of their hearts that wealth belongs to those with strong wills, not to those who show sympathy and care.

Therefore, they pursue individual strength, primal satisfaction, and the acquisition of wealth, believing only those who achieve victory by any means deserve admiration.

Naturally, when the flames on the blazing red pillar representing Kashus suddenly extinguished, his church in Sel naturally headed toward the path of demise, while his followers, the fervent flames, swiftly switched their faith.

Those unable to switch paths were likely sent to Hell or entered the Abyss… The unluckier ones were sent into the Wanderer’s Crystal Wall by Tom.

The world restructuring must have caused the greatest soul damage there, with an unknown number of souls atoning within being shattered into foam by the blue storm.

Merely catching those evil souls outside the Toril World would surely not be enough for the quantity Tom needs to replenish.

Hill looked up at the sky, wondering whether the God of Loyalty was waiting in the Stellar Realm for those sinful souls to fly out of the world…

Hill turned his gaze toward the Alchemy Hall; although he didn’t fully understand what William intended, at least he knew one thing: the Undead Tribe would have large-scale events to participate in for at least the next ten years.

The work he had once considered, like planting trees in the Supreme Forest… William probably never considered it; all his plans were centered around war.

In fact, Hill was always curious about one thing. Clearly, Coron could contact his followers within Toril through William, but he remained surprisingly silent, rarely speaking beyond initially confirming his presence.

All Gods actually chose to act like Coron… Even the talkative and gossip-loving God Miliel merely greeted Lynn and remained silent.

At this moment, in the Stellar Realm, it’s unclear whether things have occurred that are entirely unpredictable by mortals.

Could it be that AO is judging Cyric? It’s been so long; he should indeed have been caught by now, as AO personally took action to apprehend him.

But then, what’s the use of capturing him?

Hill pondered the strange sentence of a thousand-year imprisonment… This was a situation where the world almost exploded because of him! And yet, locking him up was the end of it?

Even if everyone knew in their hearts that Shaer was definitely behind it, Cyric also willingly took action… He had seen the terrible scene caused by the fall of the last Goddess of Magic.

He’s just crazy, not stupid.

Just because he didn’t get any benefits, he came up with such a punishment?

It’s hard to imagine what the Toril Gods felt when they heard this verdict… Even Shaer, who was let off due to lack of evidence, wouldn’t feel any sense of relief; rather, she’d be extremely ashamed!

This collapse of the Weave affected her the most.

Regarding Shaer’s audacity to act recklessly, it’s because she represents the world’s origin, and AO would never let her die.

Shaer and Suren, these two goddesses formed from the origins of Toril, can only be weakened but never destroyed… The Weave Mage represented by Mystra is merely a part of their intertwined origin. Even when she dies once, many issues arise. But ultimately, it doesn’t involve AO closely; thus this God Above Gods uses her as a tool.

To put it frankly, the Goddess of the Silvermoon and the Goddess of the Dark Moon are AO’s favored daughters. Even if they tear down the roof, AO can only accept it.

But naughty children will be caught and spanked.

Shaer probably never thought the reason for her weakening would be so absurd… It’s entirely her own doing.

She indeed successfully fused the Shadow Weave and the Weave thoroughly together, but the result was that the Shadow Weave no longer belonged to her.

During this time, Hill observed the Weave and saw the dark web closely fitting onto the Weave almost completely merging into the main net… Perhaps in a few years, even those marks would be untraceable.

So most Weave Spells are now unusable… To put it plainly, these spells are like entering a URL and directly opening the spell model in the Weave.

But now, all URLs have been restructured… The places those links pointed to have become unknown…

Those who used to rely on Baidu for information are left bewildered, looking dumbfounded as those who once memorized some simple information dominate.

This punishment of Cyric trapped on his Divine Throne… There’s hardly anyone guarding, just simply sealed by AO… It’s almost like no punishment at all.

Currently, more and more people on the Toril Continent are worshipping him… There are significantly more than when he went crazy. Even though Agleya City doesn’t believe in him, they express awe for his power during conversations.

Being able to kill this Goddess in Mystra’s own domain… Who wouldn’t view Cyric more highly?

The Toril people have always worshiped the strong.

Hill lightly sighed: William is probably considering Mystra’s second fall… The one who can release the Prince of Lies sealed by AO with his Origin Power would undoubtedly be Shaer, inheriting his chaotic and dark aspects… But that’s after the Deity of Mages Azuth has fallen.

Without Azuth’s old magic wand, Cyric wouldn’t find it easy to kill Mystra a second time either.

Hill paced in his study, unsure whether he should tell William about Edna.

If it’s this Midnight now, Hill doesn’t believe Azuth would end up with that fate in the end… Grim Reaper Kelemvor certainly wouldn’t be angry with him anymore… No one knows how furious this Grim Reaper is seeing his past love tossed around by a group of conspirators.

But history changed when Midnight reincarnated in Edna instead of the adult girl who tragically died in the mine cave.

But Hill, on the surface, is someone who doesn’t know history!

He silently sat in his chair, calculating whether, if William is uninformed, this matter would evolve into a tragedy… Yet no matter how he calculates, he only sees it potentially turning into an absurd comedy that would draw many exclamations.

Hill slowly made up his mind: speak, he must speak; he couldn’t completely leave William uninformed. But how he says it is his concern… Suggesting things depends on whether the listener has the understanding.

Like some past matters, has William hinted to him? Of course, he has… But did Hill understand?

Definitely not.

“List,” Hill softly spoke, “Tell the Temporal Artifact that the young lady Edna, who gets along with the Undead Tribe, is quite special. Please take note and ensure this young lady doesn’t encounter any problems.”

“Yes, sir,” List responded with a smile and left.

That’s enough…

Hill looked at the Undead Tribe’s battlefield: The speed of the half-orcs rolling down the mountain visibly slowed down. Under the situation where their kin under the clouds were almost annihilated, even with no intelligence, they hesitated somewhat.

Only from the east near Mirabar did tremendous booms come.

Hill watched as a female dwarf dressed as a priest dashed out from the Mushroom House beside the Alchemy Hall: Mirabar indeed dispatched the most powerful ‘mother’… Of course, it’s the priest of the dwarf Mother Goddess Belennie Silvertrue; Belennie’s priests are the foundation of dwarf society.

She directly dashed into the Alchemy Hall, her voice extremely loud: “Leader of the Teraxil Elves! Mirabar Dwarves request your full assistance!”
