As A Maid, I Can Fix Her!

Chapter 91: Chapter 90 - Wake Up And Choose Inner Peace

As soon as I woke up, the first thing I saw was the ceiling of Doctor Julia’s room.

Too white in the glaring sunlight. I woke up with an uncomfortable feeling in my shoulder. It ached, like a bone shifting out of place.

Lying on the thickly covered bed, I stared down at my body, clad in a thin, long-sleeved undergarment. It had thin lace at the hem and felt as comfortable as medieval luxury underwear.

My memory flashed back to my final moments of wanting to give up on Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld’s intensive training.

The heavy blow landed on my face, knocking me out.

How strong was the impact that made a little girl like me faint?

If it weren’t mandatory training or not tied to my contract as an apprentice maid job, I’d probably be sleeping on a comfortable bed until noon.

”Uhh!!” I let out a small scream after feeling the wound on my shoulder spread throughout my body.

Of the many injuries I’d sustained in one day, my shoulder was the one that hurt the most. I twisted my bandaged shoulder. A herbal scent hit my nose, but it wasn’t as strong as the ointment my mother had bought the other day.

The scent of this herb is fresh and soothing, bringing peace to my wounded self.

Honestly, this herbal scent is much better than the bitter, chemical smell of medicine. It reminds me of my final moments as a sickly, frail old woman who died in a tragic state.

Am I die in a terrible condition?

No, I don’t think it’s that terrible....

I died in a peaceful state and without any burden on my mind, other than thinking about my last novel, which was uploaded to a novel website using my personal account.

Cttingg!!

Cttiinngg!!

The pain in my head caused me to hallucinate, like hearing a light bulb go off above my head. It wasn’t like a character getting a brilliant idea or a genius finding a solution to a problem after much thought.

It’s more like a red hazard light bulb—the emergency code to be alert around me.

”At times like this, my danger detection abilities are active non-stop,” I muttered as I glanced at the entrance to this room.

A heavy footsteps approached the room. Perhaps that was what triggered my danger detection and woke me from my fainting state.

Holding my cheek, which was still sore from the strong punch from Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld, I got up from the bed and went to a small table containing a mirror and a clean maid uniform.

Judging by the small size of the maid uniform, it seemed to be mine.

There was a small piece of paper on the fold of the maid uniform that said ”Sorry,” and ten gold coins as payment for today’s intensive training.

”Ah, that’s right...”

”I remember now...”

”I’m taking this intensive training to earn a gold coin salary.”

”Even though the contract says... only to accompany Master Reina and Master Amagi to training.”

”However, I became a living training target used to measure Master Amagi’s abilities.”

”It’s not too bad... it also gives me an idea for a new magic topic in my handwritten magic book.” While lamenting my strange fate, I picked up the maid uniform that looked different from usual.

The long sleeves with lace at the ends change to short sleeves with thin lace at the ends. A small piece of cloth with magical runes engraved on it hung from the hem of my sleeveless maid uniform.

As I examined the maid’s uniform more closely, I discovered a small piece of paper with a different handwriting. It looked different from Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld’s handwriting, which had written the word ”Sorry.”

My eyes quickly scanned the writing. It wasn’t particularly important, as it explained that this maid uniform was the proud maid uniform of Marchioness Shinano Vii Lichtberg’s family.

The shape looks exposed and seductive, especially the short sleeves that show off the armpits and the black stockings with a design worn together with panties.

Whoever designed this maid uniform for a little girl like me to wear is undoubtedly pervert.

”Who has a fetish for looking at maids’ armpits anyway?”

I was forced to take off my modest underwear, replacing it with underwear that looked like a camisole so that my smooth armpits wouldn’t be covered by my long-sleeved underwear.

Ignoring my danger detection abilities, which were constantly activated for any threats around me, I changed into my new maid uniform before the figure approaching this room arrived.

Because the maid uniform was a bit revealing at the sleeves, I had to tighten my chest area so as not to show too much of my armpits.

”Aahhh... so this is why Master Amagi is attracted to the smell of my sweat?”

”Without long sleeves covering my armpits, she can smell the sweat in my armpits directly...” I said while muttering something dirty and lewd.

The figure I consider perverted and deliberately created a maid uniform design like this is none other than the family of Marchioness Shinano Vii Lichtberg.

Srruuuttt...

Peesshh...

Poomm...

With quick hand movements and racing against time, I quickly changed into my maid uniform before the figure walking into this room opened the door.

Krraaakkk...

The open door revealed Doctor Julia, busy carrying a wooden tray filled with plants and fruit.

”Oh, are you awake, Liliana?”

”How does it feel to get punched in the face by our beloved Duchess?” said Dr. Julia with her unfunny joke.

I smiled wryly when I heard that, but it was held back by the pain on my face.

”H-Hahaha... Aahhh!! Ouucchh!!” Even just laughing a little, my face felt like it was being slap by dozens of hands.

The pain I feel are too much...

”Don’t move around too much. Most of your injuries have been healed by Marchioness Shinano Vii Lichtberg’s magic. However, it still hurts because it’s not holy magic that can completely heal the pain.”

”Isn’t it a bit too late after I felt the pain?” I grumbled as I picked up the black ribbon hair clip on the table.

”Don’t be angry with me. You already know about your battered condition, right? Your condition is indeed worse than that of Young Miss Reina, who only came with bruises all over her body.”

”You think that’s better than my condition?” I replied while staring at the mirror in front of me.

The face of the little girl who had just woken up from fainting after a hard morning of training did not show any annoyance.

It was so strange that I was afraid of Liliana’s calm facial expression.

”Besides the shoulder bone being dislocated and having to be pulled back into place, you had a nosebleed. You fainted with your mouth open and almost ended up in the morgue.”

”But because there is no morgue in the Main Mansion of Duke Adelheid Von Blutfeld. This is where you are, Liliana.”

”Still alive in my room...”

”...” I was speechless after hearing that bad, dark joke.

”Ohh!! There’s a backyard that’s often used as a place to defecate...”

”Want to use it as your graveyard, Liliana?” Continued Doctor Julia, who continued her bad joke.

My danger detection abilities were constantly active while talking to Doctor Julia, as if there was danger nearby and waiting to be discovered.

”Speaking of your graveyard... I almost forgot to say this, Liliana.”

”Do not set your foot in the side walk of the Main Mansion. The Head Maid has put up warning signs about hidden deadly traps during Young Miss Reina’s training.”

”And also, Young Miss Amagi, who for some reason looked scared since morning.”

As if answering the doubts I was experiencing, Doctor Julia provided information about the cause of the danger signs I was always feeling, since I woke up.

”Amazingly, you managed to complete that crazy training in one try, Liliana!” said Doctor Julia as she placed the wooden tray she was carrying on the table.

”Maybe I’m just lucky,” I replied while watching Doctor Julia busy mixing something using her equipment.

”What kind of luck could get past a morning run filled with deadly traps and counterattack the Head Maid, Liliana? Even Sebastian wouldn’t have returned unscathed if the arrows were real and sharp.”

Doctor Julia took a few strands of the plant and ground them into thin granules in a stone container.

Gruusshh...

Gruusshh...

”You just need to evade the traps, right?” I replied, causing Doctor Julia to stop her little activity.

”Uh, wooow... Sounds so easy from someone who has done it.”

”I-Isn’t that easy??”

”I don’t know... I don’t testing it. Even Sebastian failed and almost died from the Head Maid’s surprise attack. Does that sound easy to you, Liliana?”

”No... Well, I was actually surprised that Sebastian joined to try it.”

”Hahaha!! He really likes being tortured like pig masochist.”

”E-Ehhh... I-I see...” I felt like I heard a strange answer from Doctor Julia.

Doctor Julia moved her small hands again, crushing fresh plants mixed with fruits, her hands filled with mana that formed small grains like medicinal pills, and ended with a powerful surge of magic that slammed in all directions.

Grrasshh...

Graaasshh...

Paaammm!!

Did I just see a Doctor making medicinal pills with mana... in front my eyes?

Somehow, it looks different from the medical pills I often took in my past life.

”Catch this, Liliana!” said Doctor Julia, who suddenly threw the pill into my mouth.

Choommmp!!

Swiftly, I caught the pill like a dog being given a snack by its owner.

”Smart girl!! Your body’s reflexes are too fast for someone who is injured, Liliana.”

”If Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld finds out about this, she’ll definitely force you to join her intensive training again,” said Doctor Julia with a frightening smile.

My mouth was busy chewing the pill, which tasted sweet. It wasn’t as bitter as the pill that numbed my taste buds.

Doctor Julia’s skill to create medicine is not too bad.

Is that why she will become the Great Doctor who shakes up medical science in the future?

Well, I’ll see about that in the future.

For now, I just want to relax for a while without getting involved with all the troublesome problems in this novel world.
