As A Maid, I Can Fix Her!

Chapter 78: Chapter 77 - Another Liliana?

I don’t understand this.

Why can someone like me who doesn’t believe in the Great Goddess of this world cast holy magic?

If I could do something like that, I could certainly can cast forbidden magic without any ill intentions of hurting others.

”Hmm... this holy magic is too easy,” I said while staring at the holy magic book that had fallen and rolled on the floor.

The brightly shining book looked dull after being buried under sunflower seeds, exploding like a firecracker made of hard crystal.

Of all the discrimination we can do... it actually leads to the holy magic book, which contains guidelines for a noble life.

Just think of it as the fruit she harvested after viewing other magic as disgusting things.

”That’s so unfair!”

”Why you can casting holy magic?!!”

”That’s against the Great Goddess’s rules!” the holy magic book shouted, ignoring my words that forced it to remain silent.

Cttaasshh!!

Bllaaarrr!!

The sunflower seed explosion occurred again, this time accompanied by the throwing of folded paper containing Fireball spell from me.

Swoossshh!!

Swoossshh!!

The hot fireball explosion burned the folded paper I touched, injecting a surge of mana and activating magic runes that summoned Fireball magic instantly.

I could feel the mana leaving my body. Writing the magic runes didn’t consume any mana, but activating them with a surge of mana had drawn a significant amount mana from my body.

This instant magic completely bypasses the process of verbal incantation and imagination in the caster’s mind, almost like instant noodles that are cooked with boiling water and the seasoning is already in the package.

If this cheat could be used repeatedly, it would allow an untalented mages to cast advanced spells without training. That’s why some kingdoms keep rune magic techniques secret and place the magic rune knowledge within the highest royal treasury.

I wrote all that in the past as a author in this novel world, but who would have thought that it would come in handy when I was trapped in the world of my own novel.

Swooossshh!!

Swooossshh!!

”Gaaaahhh!! Hot! Hot! Hot! Stop this magic! I’m going to get roasted!”

”Then holy maidens will lose their holy magic books in the future!”

”Are you so cruel as to commit such a big crime?!!”

The threat that sounded like nonsense echoed in my ears.

”It’s okay, I’m not a saint or nun anyway, and other magic is disgusting, right?” I retorted to that hilarious nonsense.

Liliana seems to have a natural talent for countering people’s words by twisting the facts of what happened before her eyes. The innocent facade of a little girl is truly the best; I don’t even feel guilty about committing such crimes... like this.

I’ve reduced the number of folded papers I’ve made by one. There are still several folded papers containing Fireball magic runes and environmental traps to use against Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld.

What I need right now is a good night’s rest and to stop staying up late. I don’t want to repeat the same mistakes of being hungry in the middle of the night and making a second dinner.

Spending the early hours of the morning working hard before falling asleep, then waking up for an intense workout... is torture.

Just... like today, how I felt my days so hard to do anything.

There is no second chance to repeat the same mistake.

”I-I told you... I’m sorry about that!” the holy magic book shouted after the fireball that hit it burned up in the air.

”Yeah... Yeah... Keep talking that bullshit.”

If someone asks why I like to bully living magic books in such a rude way, then I will answer with most classically ever.

[ The living magic book will not feel pain. ]

[ The living magic book will not be damaged. ]

[ Torture, Ah! That’s not it... The living magic book will never hold a grudge as long as its contents are read well. ]

For those three reasons, I can treat living magic book as harshly as I want. Except for those whose personalities suit me.

For this holy magic book with a innocent and stupid personality...

It was a big exception to remain patient when with her.

”You’re not really sorry, are you? I can see it on your face.”

”I don’t even have a face!”

”Yes, whatever you say. What’s certain is that I can cast holy magic without believing in the Great Goddess, and this sunflower also turn into a holy sunflower. The magic you consider disgusting turn into holy magic. Hahaha! So funny, right?” I laughed with satisfaction at all this.

The glowing sunflower radiated a calming aura of holy magic. The sunflower seeds emitted a golden light, suddenly pulling the bunch of sunflower seeds I had harvested, and transforming into a large sunflower seed. It was about the size of a flatbread sold around the bus station.

Clliinngg!!

Clliinngg!!

The white and gold light blinded me again, and this time I had prepared myself by closing my eyes. My hands felt something hard, filling my outstretched hands, but I didn’t dare open my eyes.

Something hard and shining was in my hands, not the magic book I was writing in, but a mysterious object.

After the white light faded, I dared to open my eyes and saw a shining white object in my hands.

It looked like a peeled sunflower seed, resembling the white inside.

”Uh, what’s this?” I asked one of the sunflowers near me.

There is no answer, of course, because they are plants that do not have mouths.

”Uhm, can I eat it?” I continued to ask after seeing the tempting shape of the sunflower seeds.

I don’t know what happened to me, but suddenly I felt a rush of hunger after seeing giant sunflower seeds.

”Ah! No way! Those are holy seeds that can only be harvested by holy plants!”

Cttaasshh!!

Blaaarrrr!!

For the umpteenth time, I saw the holy magic book being ruthlessly bullied by this radiant sunflower. After receiving a drop of holy water that transformed into holy fertilizer, it had evolved into something ”holy.” But her grudge for holy magic book never faded.

Just like an plant who get evolution.

Oh, nope, evolution is not the right word...

Perhaps... it would be more appropriate to think of it as a second phase of sunflowers or something like that. Like a second Boss Form after losses some health.

The world of this novel never had any power evolution other than the plot armor that helps the main character to defeat his opponents.

The explosive sunflower seed attack happened again, pushing the holy magic book onto the floor and screaming.

”Hey! Why am I always getting attacked?!”

”I already apologized, didn’t I?!”

”Without that holy fertilizer... you won’t become a holy plant, you know!”

”Please spare me!!”

The holy magic book tried to find an acceptable excuse for the holy sunflower. The anger building up inside me somehow lessened drastically after seeing the holy magic book crying hysterically, and tears streaming down the floor.

Creesshh...

Creesshh...

While enjoying the suffering of the holy magic book before my eyes, I ate the sunflower seeds and enjoyed the sweet, crunchy sensation.

”Hmm~ delicious!” I praised the sunflower, which seemed to be enjoying the torture act of justice by swaying its flower stalk.

Yup, it is certain that this sunflower is alive and has intelligence.

I have to be careful in taking care of it so that I doesn’t end up like that holy magic book.

Deg...

Deg...

Deg...

My heart suddenly felt painful, as if it was being squeezed by a mysterious hand.

”Cough!” The strange feeling made me choke. My hand went to my chest and hit it.

My chest was hot, as if boiling water had been poured over my body.

”W-What happened?”

Amidst the pain I felt, my consciousness sank to another point, making my body fall onto the floor.

My gaze, which had been inside my room, shifted to a space filled with a puddle of water. There was no light, but my eyes could see everything around me, observing something standing in the midst of this emptiness.

Swaasshh...

Swwaasshh...

My footsteps on the water made a gurgling sound. The waves flowed calmly toward a certain destination.

My destination was the center of this subliminal space.

My reflection as Liliana was clearly visible in the puddle, obscured by the waves caused by my footsteps.

Right in front of me, I saw a girl sitting curled up with her hands clasped around her legs. Her head was hidden by her legs, curled up as if she were afraid of something.

My footsteps got closer until they stopped in front of her.

This little girl...

”Liliana?” I blurted out after seeing her brown hair.

Even though it was dark around me, I could still see the striking color of her hair. Especially with her simple hairstyle, it was like a little girl from a remote village.

The little girl heard what I said. She moved her head, which was hidden in her legs.

”Oh, Liliana... again?” she said, leaving me confused.

What does ”Liliana again” mean?

”Y-You’re Liliana?” I asked in a trembling voice.

”Yes, I am Liliana. But I am no longer Liliana after Liliana came and took over Liliana from Liliana.”

”Eh? Uhh... huh???”

The complicated and convoluted wordplay left me confused.

Liliana this...

Liliana that...

What is the meaning of this little girl’s statement, who happens to be Liliana?

”Sorry, maybe that confused you, Liliana.”

”I am Liliana... you too are Liliana... We are Liliana...”

”It’s funny to say those complicated words, isn’t it?”

I don’t understand what’s happening right now at all.

Eating sunflower seeds... Turns out it makes me hallucinate?

That’s not what happened, right?

”You came at the right time; I was bored waiting for another Liliana, and it just so happened that another Liliana came.”

Snap!!

The sound of a snap echoed around me, opening up this dark space with blinding white light.

Behind the little girl, I saw another little girl who looked like Liliana.

However, they had different hairstyles.

”Welcome to the realm of our subconscious, Liliana!”
