As A Maid, I Can Fix Her!

Chapter 56: Chapter 55 - Sebastian

There’s a saying that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. But for the noble Adelheid Von Blutfeld family, the apple that falls from the tree grows into a tree not much different from its parent tree.

A mother and daughter who are at odds with each other, constantly dragging me into problems... that could actually be solved.

They only make the problem more complicated.

Sluuurp...

My fingers, which had just been licked by Master Reina, now felt the dance of Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld’s tongue between them.

How about my condition?

Of course, I tried to stay calm, even as my face was already holding back embarrassment.

Bluusshh...

My face felt warm with a blush, my chest ached from Master Reina’s sharp gaze, and I felt chilled by the gentle gaze of Master Amagi, who remained calm before me. She seemed unconcerned, but her pastel purple eyes couldn’t take their eyes off me.

This is what makes me feel anxious in the midst of this chaos, something that is calm and seems safe... but will explode at the wrong time.

Sluuurp...

The Duchess’s tongue continued to dance on my fingers, leaving no room for Master Reina’s lick marks to remain on any of my fingers.

”Mom, aren’t you on a diet for the royal family tea party? If you keep licking Liliana’s fingers, it’s like you’re eating dinner,” Master Reina said with a rolling look in her eyes, looking for an excuse to get her mother to stop licking my fingers.

”This isn’t dinner, Reina. This is the expression of a owner who loves her goods so much. Can’t you tell the difference? Looks like you need to study harder.”

”THAT’S NOT WHAT I MEAN!” Master Reina grumbled as she raised her hand and prepared to hit Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld, but stopped midway.

Master Reina’s rising emotions seemed to be blocked by the Duchess’s smile. I could feel her body moving as she was ready to fight back with all her might, even though her tongue was busy licking my fingers.

The tears in my heart grew louder after seeing the mother and daughter being overly excited in the middle of the night.

Gllaarree...

The Duchess’s gaze was more terrifying than Master Reina’s sharp gaze, startling Master Amagi, who was sitting calmly in her chair. She trembled for a moment before settling back down. I didn’t look directly, but the fine hairs on the nape of my neck told me the Duchess was poised to strike back.

”...” There was a small pause before Master Reina lowered her hand.

Her small hands trembled as if she was holding back anger that was almost out of control.

Or is it a form of fear from a daughter who is avoiding her mother’s anger?

Whatever happens, it’s a good decision to hold back her anger in the middle of the night. It wouldn’t be fun if this momentary anger continued into the next day, and family breakfast would definitely be awkward.

”Hmm~ so you’re not going to hit your own mother, Reina?” the Duchess said in a seductive and cold tone, as if suppressing a silent anger that was pressuring Master Reina to behave.

”N-No... who was the one who wanted to hit you in the first place?” Master Reina replied, turning her face to the side.

”In fact, I was ready to be hit, you know...” the Duchess continued with a teasing tone that didn’t match her tone, full of hidden tease of anger that was ready to be unleashed.

”What are you talking about, Mama?” Master Reina replied with the utmost politeness, pretending the anger that had almost slipped out was never there.

Master Reina’s innocent smile put an end to this small argument.

”Thank goodness you understand your position. Just remember one thing, Liliana still belongs to me. Don’t be upset if I enjoys... every bit of her tenderness. Kukuku~”

The fine hairs on the nape of my neck stood on end again when I heard that.

Such bold words were too indicative of the Duchess’s dominance in this Mansion.

It could be a warning and motivation for Master Reina.

A warning not to tease me too much and motivation to train to surpass Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld.

Yup, it’s been a long road for Master Reina.

Krraacck...

The kitchen door opened again, this time not from the night maid patrolling the Mansion. A man stood upright in simple nightclothes Butler, his face worn with fatigue and hair white with age. He stepped into the kitchen and stared at the Duchess.

”Oh, my mistress, I thought I heard a mysterious, suspicious sound coming from inside the kitchen. It turns out it came from my mistress herself,” he said in a deep voice and stepped inside, revealing his entire face, which looked old but still working in his old age.

”Sebastian? I didn’t expect you to wake up in the middle of the night. Let me guess... my husband still working in his room and you wanted to bring him a snack, right?” the Duchess replied after seeing his figure, which was much taller than I had imagined.

A small bolt of electricity pierced my body as I sat on the Duchess’s lap. The name that had always appeared in the novels and the figure who would become Master Reina’s right-hand man in the future was now before my eyes.

He was a retired knight who worked as a butler at Duke Adelheid Von Blutfeld’s residence. All the knights serving in the Kingdom of Belfast had heard of his heroic past. He had been a role model for the young knights, inspiring them with his unwavering loyalty, but all that would soon be shattered after Master Reina’s actions.

In the novel’s main storyline, Sebastian sells his loyalty to the main character after feeling Duke Adelheid Von Blutfeld’s family descend into political turmoil. This is due to Master Reina’s desire to possess the main character, but her parents prevent her from averting the bloody night.

In the middle of a beautiful full moon night, a bloody night came.

A tragedy that makes Sebastian swear allegiance to Master Reina and secretly sell his loyalty to the main character in order to bring down Master Reina.

That does happen in the main storyline, but for the alternate story in this world...

I hope that won’t happen...

”Yes, my esteemed mistress. Duke Adelheid Von Blutfeld is sitting at his desk and staring at the report from the Royal family that came via pigeon. Such sudden work coming before bedtime, how unfortunate...” Sebastian said as he walked towards the kitchen and took the bottle of wine that was kept under the table.

”I didn’t expect this kitchen room to be so busy and filled with the aroma of delicious food. Is my mistress having a tea party in the middle of the night? That’s not good for a healthy body, my mistress.”

Sebastian gave some sincere-sounding advice, and the Duchess just chuckled.

”Just hungry at night,” replied the Duchess as she let go of my hand, which she had just licked heartily.

My fingers, wet from Master Reina and Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld’s licks, felt the chill of the midnight air. I wanted to wash my filthy hands immediately, but my fingers moved to reach for the remaining fries in the Duchess’s wooden bowl.

”Hungry at night will bothering the night maids on duty. They must be having a hard time after being asked to cook by my mistress. Forgive them for only being able to cook potatoes. I didn’t train them to cook on the front lines of a battlefield, hahaha!!”

”...” The Duchess was silent for a moment and tilted her head.

”I didn’t tell them to cook.”

”N-Not telling them to cook? Then who are these leftovers from? I can see the remains of roughly chopped potato skins... Wait! Why are there rough pieces of potato skin and soft pieces of potato skin at the same time? You all cooked the potato dish for Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld, right?” Sebastian asked while looking at the night maids who were enjoying the fries.

The only answer Sebastian got was a strong shake of the head from the night maid, their hands still actively picking up the fries from the wooden bowl.

”They don’t cook dinner in the middle of the night, Sebastian. This little maid is cooking dinner, and I was drawn to the smell of it being cooked. From the start, it was Marchioness Shinano VII Lichtberg and Young Miss Amagi who were hungry in the middle of the night. Isn’t that right?” asked the Duchess, stroking my hair with her gentle chin.

Caress...

Caress...

My hair felt the Duchess’s gentle touch, so gentle that my hand brushed against another hand in the wooden bowl of fries.

Master Reina, Master Amagi, and Marchioness Shinano Vii Lichtberg took the remaining pieces of fried potatoes from the Duchess’s wooden bowl.

”Hmm?” I mumbled softly and looked at them all taking turns.

”They really are hungry at night, aren’t they?” the Duchess continued, smiling at Sebastian.

”I suggest you grab some fries to accompany the Duke’s hard work in the middle of the night, Sebastian.”

Sebastian, who didn’t understand the situation, could only obey; he took the remaining fries after being enjoyed by the night maid.

”If that’s what my mistress recommendation, I’ll bring it for a midnight snack. I hope Duke Adelheid Von Blutfeld likes it.”

”He’ll love it... because it was made by an experienced little maid. Right, Liliana?”

Caress...

Caress...

The Duchess stroked my hair with her chin incessantly, pressing my head as if she were showing off my impressive cooking to Sebastian.

”Okay, I’ll serve this to Duke Adelheid Von Blutfeld,” Sebastian said as he headed for the kitchen exit.

”Make sure the Duke doesn’t stay up until morning, Sebastian.”

”Yes, my mistress...”
