As A Maid, I Can Fix Her!

Chapter 83: Chapter 82 - Duchess Tease

”In other words, making a little girl into distress call is one way to trigger an danger-detecting abilities?” I asked as I enjoyed my breakfast.

As I ate, Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld explained the training method she had prepared for me. Especially the running route, filled with various traps, who was supposed to long run chase until sunrise.

However, Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld was shocked to see me complete the challenge so quickly. She even praise me, when find a way to attack the Head Maid who acted as my ”friendly companion” during the run.

What kind of friendly companion, who throws a knife at someone from behind?

That really doesn’t make sense, right?

Luckily, I was still able to survive and enjoy breakfast.

”Did you get hit by Mell? No, did you? So, it wasn’t a distress call... Just a knife throw that narrowly missed its target. By accident.”

”Yeah, I wasn’t get hit from Head Maid, but I almost got stabbed by knives thrown from two directions,” I replied, remembering the Duchess’s surprise attack.

In front of the finish line of my training, she threw a knife at high speed. It was barely visible to my eyes because it was traveling so fast. Thanks to my danger-sensing abilities, I could sense the danger of the upcoming knife throw.

For to get this ability to detect danger, I almost died at a young age.

”This training is far better than what I went through, Liliana. When I was younger, I woke up in the middle of a dense forest and only had a knife to return home safely. Passing through paths filled with nature-made traps to trigger my danger-detection abilities. It’s so fun and dangerous at the same time.”

”With all due respect, my Duchess. The walking path around the Main Mansion will be full of victims if the traps are not cleared.”

”Oh, worried about other people becoming victims? Just think of it as a valuable experience for them.”

”Duchess, you really think of leaving that deadly trap just like that?”

”No, because Mell will be the one cleaning it. Right, Mell?” said the Duchess, looking at the Head Maid, who standing behind her.

Throwing the responsibility onto someone else, huh?

If only I could do something like that too. I’d surely be in my bedroom, enjoying the warmth of my blankets on a cold morning. But here I am, trapped in intensive training to accompany Master Reina and Master Amagi.

”Speaking of the intense training I’ve been doing, why aren’t Master Reina and Master Amagi here?” I asked, taking a piece of warm bread filled with grilled meat.

”They’re both still asleep. Wouldn’t it be nice to practice without showing your weak side in front of them, right?”

”Where’s the fun in that? Even if I’m terrible at something, wouldn’t that motivate them both to do their best?”

”Oh my, you’re wrong if you think of Reina and Amagi like that, Liliana.”

The Duchess put down the teacup she was holding and looked at me with a serious look in her eyes.

”Listen carefully, as Reina’s future Exclusive Maid. My unruly daughter won’t be motivated without a reward. For example, what’s happening right now. Her motivation for training is only seeing you, Liliana.”

”Her motivation is good. But when to do it... she’s really lazy. So, I’ll make a motivational notes, so she will wakes up early and doesn’t stay late for other practice. Could you sit on my lap, Liliana?”

I, who was enjoying the soft bread in my mouth, almost choked.

I hurriedly swallowed the soft bread in my mouth.

”No need to be surprised. You will also be sitting on Marchioness Shinano Vii Lichtberg’s lap after this.”

”Mell, you’ve prepared that, right?”

What other crazy plans has Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld prepared?

Even she involving the Marchioness as well?

Unaware of the Duchess’s full plan, my body, which was sitting on the chair, quickly shifted onto her lap. My maid’s uniform, soiled from rolling around on the ground, left a mark on her clothes.

The clothes she was wearing looked like nightgown.

That wouldn’t be a problem, would it?

”D-Duchess, your nightgown is getting dirty,” I said after sitting on her lap.

”No need to worry. Nightgown is just perfect for getting dirty,” she replied with mature humor.

”Uh-huh?” I put on a confused face after those words were said.

Nightgown for a married couple is indeed designed to get dirty. I myself have experienced this several times, so I have to control it so that it doesn’t get dirty.

Well, forget about that adult stuff. I need to focus on what’s right in front of me.

The Head Maid placed something on the ground, like a stand with three legs underneath, and placed a round object on top.

”C-Camera?” I muttered without understanding what it was.

The shape is not similar to a camera, but the position is like a camera on a tripod.

”Smile a little, Liliana.”

”We’re going to make Reina angry and jealous in the morning!”

Sitting on the Duchess’s lap, I was pulled closer. My back touched something soft and warm. It gently caressed my sweaty, dirty back.

Booiinngg...

Booiinngg...

It was a large size. No wonder it felt so good on my back, as there was no support to hold it. I sat up straight and looked at the Head Maid.

Flaasshh!!

A white light suddenly entered my eyes, much like a camera flash in the modern world.

Swiirrlll...

Swwiirrll...

A piece of paper emerged from the strange ball. The mechanism was similar to a camera that could print a photo after taking it.

”Ah, I remember now...” I muttered after understanding the magical technology in front of me.

It’s a multi-function crystal ball. It can act as a camera, store images, and record its surroundings.

Yup, basically a camera in this novel’s world.

Now I remember, because that crystal ball was supposed to be the grand prize in the first-year Royal Belfast Academy tournament. The main character in this world would win the tournament and use it to gather evidence of the Villainess girls’ crimes.

Flaasshh!!

The white light flashed again, this time with Duchess hugging me tightly from behind. She brought her face close to my right ear and bit it. It didn’t hurt, but it was embarrassing after seeing the photo.

Biittee...

Biittee...

The little bite seemed to be left on purpose by the Duchess, followed by a kiss on my right neck and a gentle bite.

”Hmmn~” I held back the pain with a thin sigh, not too loud to remain calm in the photo.

”D-Duchess?”

”I-Is biting my neck part of your plan to make Master Reina angry and jealous?” I asked innocently and glanced at her.

My face felt hot with embarrassment. The sky above me was already glowing blue. The sun had risen, not yet high, but its rays were enough to reveal the Duchess’s bite mark on my neck.

”This bite is necessary, Liliana. Because you are still mine. A little touch of jealousy will make Reina wake up early and undergo intensive training early.”

”I don’t think that’s necessary.”

”Trust me. It was necessary to motivate Reina to wake up earlier than usual. After what happened between us... Hahaha!! This was very necessary!” said the Duchess in a sinister tone.

”Uh, please don’t drag me into another matter I don’t know about, my esteemed Duchess.”

”Don’t worry, Liliana. You’ll be fine as MY FAVORITE MAID!!”

Caress...

Caress...

The Duchess’s chin touched my hair, rubbing it at full speed and making Marchioness Shinano Vii Lichtberg clear her throat with an elegant cough.

”Cough! Isn’t it my turn now?” said the Marchioness as she patted her lap and cast a spell that hit my body.

Swoosh...

Swiisshhh...

The magic chant felt gentle on my body, like it was cleaning something that was stuck on me.

”Thank you, Shinano. You saved me from Mell’s wrath.”

”At least, clean Liliana first before you hold her.”

”I did this to be more authentic and original. Proof that Liliana wakes up earlier than Reina and finishes her intensive training earlier!”

”Tell that to your sulking daughter. You just want to tease her to stopping her sulking, right?”

”No, I didn’t think that way. If you think that way. Then our little fight will end without any casualties. I don’t want it to end like that! Hahaha!!”

”Don’t do anything that will cause me trouble, Duchess. Also, please be aware of any trouble you’ve caused...”

”Let bygones be bygones. For the sake of my daughter’s future as the Duchess, she must work hard from a young age. The political movements in our Kingdom are unpredictable, and this opportunity to experience such frustration will be a valuable experience for her.”

My body swayed in the air as the Duchess and Marchioness spoke.

My vague, insignificant existence seemed forgotten.

The Head Maid looked at me with pity, but I brushed it off with a shake of my head.

That fake pity won’t fool me.

I can still feel her little betrayals. Attacking me with a thrown knife and setting up a deadly invisible trap. It was all done on the Duchess’s orders, but it still stings.

Marchioness Shinano Vii Lichtberg swung her arms down, pulling my body that was floating in the air until it was sitting on her lap.

”Ohh? What is this? Why do I feel the mana capacity increasing within your body, Liliana?”

”My feeling tells me that... Your magic capacity is only the size of a round aquarium. Small and cute.”

”Why has it now turned into a big empty room?”

The questions I received while sitting on Marchioness Shinano Vii Lichtberg’s lap felt like an interrogation at a police station.

How do I explain a magic book with four different personalities?

Then cast a magic spell on a plant that grows sunflowers and surprisingly evolves into a holy sunflower?

The hardest thing to explain is the fact that I ate the sacred sunflower seeds, which had the effect of increasing mana capacity, and met Liliana’s other personality. It’s really hard to explain, isn’t it?

”A few things are going on...” I said in a low voice.

”Don’t want to tell me?”

Uuhh... Now, I have to explain all of that to her?

It really makes me very busy...
