As A Maid, I Can Fix Her!

Chapter 62: Chapter 61 - Lemon Tea Punishment

”M-My back...”

”I-It hurts so much; I’m going to suffer from back pain sooner than I’m in old age.”

My body rolled on the grass, ready to give up. I couldn’t endure this harsh training; it would be better if it were a little more humane.

From my amateur skill, facing the Duchess was overwhelming.

Well, for the old butler it was no problem.

I could counterattack by kicking him in the groin. But against the Duchess, there was no opening I could exploit. She was a well-trained female knight... very well, I thought. If there was anyone who could match the Duchess’s abilities, it would definitely be the future Master Reina.

Surrendering and giving in is the right choice in this situation.

My body had finished rolling around on the grass, dirtying my maid uniform and leaving abrasions on my arms. Much better than the other cut on my head. I quickly stood up and drew my shattered wooden sword a second time.

The shattered pieces of the exploding wooden sword filled my vision. The broken tip revealed an iron shaft, and the outer edge was etched with sharp wood grain.

Gravitation break, huh...

It’s a magic spell that enhances one’s physical abilities by altering an object’s weight and mass. In my weak hands, a wooden sword feels light and weighs nothing. However, when it comes into contact with another object, it feels incredibly heavy, and the density of that mass will trigger a massive explosion.

A wooden sword this light colliding with a 10-ton vehicle would undoubtedly cause it to explode, sending me flying. Sudden physical enhancements aren’t good, even if it’s just playing with an object’s weight and mass.

I need to understand the concept of this magic as well as possible.

A wooden sword split in two by a powerful explosion is no longer usable.

Two wooden swords were destroyed on the first day of training...

Actually... what kind of training am I doing, right now?

I immediately headed to the front yard of the Main Mansion, carrying my shattered wooden sword. My body had suffered minor injuries, but it wasn’t a big deal as long as they were just scratches.

Tap...

Tap...

The situation in front of the Main Mansion was a bit strange. The Duke was still clutching his crotch, and the unconscious old butler was still lying on the ground with his mouth wide open.

The Duchess was thrown to the other side, in good condition and smiling at me.

Kirraaa...

Kirraa...

Her sparkling red eyes were fixed on me. The Head Maid tried hard to wipe the dust off her face with a handkerchief, but that didn’t stop the Duchess’s interest in wanting to train me some more.

My hand immediately waved a white flag in the form of a broken wooden sword.

”I surrender, Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld,” I said, showing her the wooden sword and the abrasions on my arm.

”Once again!” replied the Duchess, smiling at me and showing me the wooden sword that was damaged at the tip.

It seems I’ve ignited Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld’s fighting spirit, and she won’t stop until she’s satisfied. The Duke, watching all this, simply shook his head.

”There’s no need to force her on the first day of training. If you keep acting like this, Liliana will be afraid to train. Just like Reina, who was reluctant to train with you,” the Duke said calmly and dragged the old butler’s body to safety.

Stuubb...

The quiet words felt like a sharp sword, piercing the Duchess’s heart, and the sound of her pain escaped her lips.

”Cough!!” The Duchess clutched her chest and glared at the Duke. She wanted to say something, but her mouth was covered by the Head Maid’s handkerchief. The dust covering her face was quite thick; perhaps it was the Duchess’s first experience of being thrown backward while training others.

”I will not be satisfied with mediocre training for Liliana,” said the Duchess after the handkerchief that had been cleaning her mouth wiped her cheek.

”That’s going to be the problem. From what I saw just now, that last attack was enough to determine Liliana’s training. Keep in mind, she has to undergo apprentice maid training and magic training from Marchioness Shinano Vii Lichtberg. Don’t train her as a workaholic; she’ll have a hard time relaxing on her days off.”

I nodded my head when Duke Adelheid Von Blutfeld said that.

I, who had considered his insensitive, actually cared deeply for Liliana. He was a protective figure I could use to my advantage. A gentlemen I could rely on when the rights of a little girl like me were being oppressed by powerful forces.

”You have some truth to that. I almost forgot that Liliana was supposed to accompany Young Miss Amagi.”

”Yes, you should refrain from training Liliana, Amagi, and Reina. Forcing Sebastian to train Liliana... I don’t think that’s a good idea. She’ll quickly learn to attack men’s crotches to perfect her fighting techniques against men.”

”Isn’t that wonderful?” the Duchess replied, causing the Duke to raise an eyebrow.

”Wonderful from which side?”

The Duchess turned her face with a mischievous smile; she threw her wooden sword at the Duke, trying to tease him elegantly.

The Duke deflected the Duchess’s wooden sword with one hand, causing me to reflexively throw my own broken wooden sword at him, hoping the blow would land on his head.

Boonkk!!

”W-What?!!” The loud sound of a wooden sword hitting Duke’s head made me turn my head away. I put on an expression of innocence as my wooden sword was thrown at him.

”Nice Liliana!” The Duchess stuck out her thumb and appreciated my surprise attack that hit the Duke’s head.

It was indeed a rude act, the least it deserved for a Duke who ignored a little girl stuck on the door.

”Liliana, don’t imitate my wife’s mischievous behavior.”

Well, how can I not imitate her mischievous behavior after you ignore me, Duke?

I wanted to answer him from the bottom of my heart and be as frank as that, but my mouth was sealed by the fear of being dishonorably discharged as an apprentice maid.

”Oh my, the Duke who is known for his gallantry and bravery on the battlefield is taking issue with a surprise attack from a little girl? That doesn’t fit with the rumors.”

”It’s too early to provoking me, Estelle.”

”How about you prove the rumor?”

”You want to fight me? With such trembling hands?” the Duke asked as he picked up the cup of warm tea he had left on the steps earlier.

I glanced at the Duchess, who stood gracefully. Her white training gown was streaked with dust from bouncing and rolling on the ground, resisting the Gravitia Break spell. She had no physical injuries, unlike my own, which were covered in abrasions, but her hands were trembling.

”Just overexcited after holding off Liliana’s attack.”

”Excited or surprised by Liliana’s magic attack?” asked the Duke with a teasing and mischievous smile at the Duchess.

The Duchess smiled gently at the Duke; she stepped forward and threw her body forward with a quick step.

Baasshh!!

In an instant, the Duchess struck the Duke with her bare hands. They smiled at each other before launching another blow. One blow after another unfolded before my eyes, while Duke still holding his cup of tea.

From a distance, the Head Maid waved at me, pointing to a cup of warm tea and an empty chair next to Marchioness Shinano Vii Lichtberg. She looked at me with an unusual look in her eyes, making me feel awkward approaching her.

With cautious steps, I passed the Duke and Duchess, who were affectionately fist-bumping. This morning’s domestic intimacy was too romantic for a married couple, and I didn’t want to disturb them as the third parties.

”Excuse me... just passing through,” I said in a weak tone and walked around from behind.

Tap...

Tap...

I immediately sat down on the left side of Marchioness Shinano Vii Lichtberg; on her right were Master Amagi and Master Reina, who sat quietly watching the two adults being affectionate with each other through fist bumps.

They really enjoyed it with a cup of warm tea; what a sight befitting a Villainess girl.

I immediately threw those thoughts away to enjoyed a glass of warm tea.

Sluurrpp...

The tea’s soft aroma and sour taste made me close my eyes.

”Ugh, tea with lemon juice?” I muttered as I placed it on the table.

”Yes, it’s good for getting you on fire in the morning and keeping you awake,” the Head Maid replied, showing another lemon slice.

Creesshh...

Creeesshh...

The lemon slice with its sour aroma fell into my tea, with her bare hand crusher.

”Uh, can I throw away this sour tea?” I asked the Head Maid, who for some reason looked annoyed at me.

”Just drink it... just think of it as punishment for dirtying a maid’s sacred uniform.”

”W-What the hell? The punishment feels unfair!” I complained, glaring at the Head Maid.

”The Duke also feels it’s unfair after being hit by a surprise attack and making out with his wife in the morning. This little punishment is well deserved, isn’t it?” the Head Maid replied with a sharp smile that made me reflect on my mistake.

”Ugh, fair enough as a punishment.”

”Yes, finish it quickly before the second training session starts.”

”Can’t I breathe easy on the first day of this training?”

”Breathing easy after defeating the Head Butler, who was renowned for his high sword skills while working as a knight? I don’t think it’s possible; you’ve already thrown him away.”

”Hahaha... hhaaaahhh...” I let out a heavy breath after understanding those words.

The training that was supposed to be aimed at Master Reina and Master Amagi suddenly turned into a hellish training that I had to go through with them.

That gold coin salary that the Duchess promised, I hope it’s not empty talk...

”It’s your own fault for hitting... Cough! Kicking Sebastian in the groin until he passed out. He would definitely interfere in your sword training as a former high-ranking knight.”

”Can I retire as an apprentice maid now?”

”Unfortunately, you can’t; you are already bound by contract with the Duke Adelheid Von Blutfeld family as a maid ready to be trained at any time, Liliana,” she said with a smile.

My life seems to be in trouble, without me realizing it.

”Ahh... How beautiful life is,” I replied while holding back my small tears in my heart.
