Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 943: Chapter 579: An Impromptu Meeting

Xu Lingyue’s nervousness was too obvious, and Zhou Yun was the first to notice.

”What’s wrong with you? Are you okay?”

Zhou Yun didn’t know why Xu Lingyue was nervous and thought he might be feeling unwell.

Xu Lingyue shook his head, pursed his lips, and said in a low voice, ”I’m fine.”

He added, ”It’s just that I’m a bit nervous.”

Zhou Yun couldn’t help but be a little surprised.

Xu Lingyue wasn’t new to the set. They had worked well together in previous scenes, so why was he nervous today?

She quickly realized and turned her head to glance at Song Chi.

Song Chi was sitting behind the monitor, wearing a baseball cap, talking with Cui Xidong.

Zhou Yun softly asked Xu Lingyue, ”Are you nervous because Song Chi is here?”

Xu Lingyue felt embarrassed to admit it, but that was the truth—he was indeed unprofessional.

”But I understand, you’re about to confess to me later, and with Song Chi here, you probably can’t focus.” Zhou Yun said, ”How about this, I’ll go talk to Song Chi, just hang on.”

Xu Lingyue quickly stopped her.

”Sister Xiao Yun!”

Zhou Yun looked back at Xu Lingyue, confused.

Xu Lingyue swallowed lightly and said in a low voice, ”Or maybe, let’s forget it? I’ll try first.”

Zhou Yun looked at him with doubt, ”Are you sure?”

Xu Lingyue nodded and said, ”I’ll try first. If it really doesn’t work, then I’ll trouble you to talk to Brother Chi.”

Since Song Chi rarely visited, Xu Lingyue also hoped to let his idol watch his performance.

In fact, if it weren’t for this opportunity, Xu Lingyue might not come into Song Chi’s view even ten years later.

Unless he gets a big break in these ten years, skyrocketing to fame, or he acts in a big director’s movie.

You really realize after becoming an actor, not every piece of work in this industry is watched by them. They are very busy, especially someone like Song Chi, whose schedule is always full; he can only choose to watch popular and phenomenal movies, let alone TV dramas.

Xu Lingyue didn’t have any utilitarian thoughts, just purely wanted his idol to watch him act for a bit.

This kind of mentality is like a fan of a singer wanting to sing their favorite song when meeting their idol.

Zhou Yun has never worshiped anyone like that or had a real idol, so she couldn’t fully understand Xu Lingyue’s feelings but could grasp the logic behind it.

Zhou Yun and Xu Lingyue rehearsed the scene once.

On the rooftop, Xu Lingyue even stuttered. He realized he wasn’t getting into character and was wasting Zhou Yun’s time, so as soon as the rehearsal ended, he immediately apologized to her.

Zhou Yun shook her head and said, ”Lingyue, let’s do it again. You can’t concentrate now. I suggest you focus on the scene we’re about to shoot.”

Xu Lingyue nodded and hummed in agreement.

Zhou Yun said, ”Nod while looking into my eyes.”

Xu Lingyue was taken aback.

He followed Zhou Yun’s words, looked into her eyes, and nodded again.

Magically, at that moment, he suddenly forgot that Song Chi was watching nearby.

But after nodding, Xu Lingyue came to his senses again.

It was just that moment that made Xu Lingyue suddenly understand his problem—he kept thinking about Song Chi watching from the side, so he couldn’t fully concentrate on acting.

Xu Lingyue took a deep breath and began to psych himself up and self-hypnotize.

This was the method he often used to get into character while acting.

The scene was orderly.

Song Chi sat next to Cui Xidong, watching Zhou Yun through the monitor.

”Brother Chi.”

Yuk Chu suddenly appeared from behind and called out.

Song Chi looked back at Yuk Chu, nodded, and greeted her.

”Why did you suddenly come to visit the set today?” Yuk Chu asked with a smile, ”Sister Xiao Yun said you’re busy filming.”

Song Chi said, ”I happen to have work nearby today, so I came to have a look.”

”Oh, I see,” Yuk Chu smiled ambiguously, ”I thought Brother Chi missed Xiao Yun so much that you came specially to see her.”

Song Chi smiled faintly.

There was a hiccup in the filming of ”Laissez-faire,” the project Song Chi was currently shooting, requiring some scenes to be reshot, which couldn’t be completed anytime soon. So he had some work to attend to and had to take a leave from the crew.
