Regarding the extras, Huang Zhong couldn’t find any fault to exploit on set, so he let it go and said no more.

The normal filming schedule on the set couldn’t be delayed.

Xu Jinbo, perhaps due to work relations, seemed to bow his head a bit in front of Huang Zhong.

Cui Xidong also found it difficult to offend Huang Zhong because of his long-term collaboration with Yuehai.

However, Zhou Yun didn’t need to cater to Huang Zhong. For Zhou Yun to act to this extent today was already giving enough face to Yuehai and Huang Zhong. If it were up to Zhou Yun’s own requirements for a crew, she would very much dislike someone like Huang Zhong coming to the crew for so-called inspections.

In other words, if you want to inspect and supervise the crew’s work and progress, fine, but you cannot interfere with the crew’s normal work.

This situation where everyone stops to attend to you, Zhou Yun wanted to minimize.

They’re filming, not running some kind of escort service.

Seeing that Huang Zhong was still going to waste time here, Zhou Yun spoke up.

”Director Cui, are we filming this morning or not? If not, I’ll just go back to the hotel to rest.” Zhou Yun smiled, ”Catch up on some sleep.”

Huang Zhong glanced at Zhou Yun.

”Xiao Yun, you’re really hinting that I’m holding up your filming here, huh.” He laughed, ”Seems like I’m truly not a welcome person here.”

”Don’t say that, President Huang, of course not.” Zhou Yun sighed, looking a bit innocent, saying, ”It’s just that if we’re not filming, I might as well go back and rest a bit. After all, your investigation here doesn’t require anything from me, it has nothing to do with me, right? You know, I’m a very lazy person.”

Huang Zhong laughed twice.

”That won’t do, Xiao Yun, you’re so expensive, it’d be such a waste if we delay for half a day.” Huang Zhong said, ”I’ll do our part here, you guys do your part, no interference between the two sides.”

”That would be best.” Zhou Yun replied with a bright smile, ”It’s been so long since we’ve found such a good script to work with Yuehai again; cooperation is key.”

...

Liu Linglu quietly stood with her peer actor Xu Lingyue at the back of the crowd.

They didn’t get close to the core circle, so they appeared more relaxed.

Liu Linglu said to Xu Lingyue: ”Look at Sister Xiao Yun, so strong, even facing Huang Zhong she smiles sweetly while sarcastically saying he’s holding up filming.”

Xu Lingyue’s expression also carried a hint of admiration. He focused on Zhou Yun in front, whispering, ”Only she dares to talk to President Huang like that, we wouldn’t dare.”

Liu Linglu nodded.

Both of them are contracted actors under Yuehai, and very young.

Because they are both from Yuehai, they also know how high Huang Zhong’s prestige was in the past, and basically, no actor dared to offend him.

But today, there appeared one, and moreover, an actor whom even Huang Zhong had to tolerate and put on a smiling face.

This scene was deeply etched in their minds today.

Both of them couldn’t help but fantasize about what it would be like when they someday become actors of Zhou Yun’s caliber.

”Do you think we have hope of becoming as amazing as Zhou Yun one day?” Liu Linglu asked longingly.

Xu Lingyue shook his head, ”I better not daydream.”

Liu Linglu sighed, ”True.”

...

Huang Zhong and his group left, not sure where they went for ”inspection.”

Zhou Yun and the others could continue filming.

While waiting for the shoot, Yuk Chu quietly asked Zhou Yun, ”Do you have a grudge against Huang Zhong?”

”Not really a grudge, why?”

”I saw how you didn’t give him face just now, thought there was some beef.” Yuk Chu said, ”Huang Zhong is a senior executive at Yuehai, a producer himself, and he set up an inspection system, he’s in charge of that, aren’t you afraid of offending him? What if he later makes trouble with the film you’re acting in?”

”He doesn’t have the capability to sabotage ’Deep Sea’, I’ve already given him enough face. Bringing this nonsense to ’Deep Sea’, I’m not happy about it.” Zhou Yun waved her hand at Yuk Chu, ”This matter, I’m the only one in the crew who can handle it, he wouldn’t dare to play tricks on me. If he dared, it would mean that the ice-breaking with Yuehai I’ve just started would crash again with another iceberg, he’s not stupid, he won’t take such a risk for a losing deal.”

”But better to offend a gentleman than a petty person, what if he gets a chance to mess with you, isn’t it a loss with nothing gained?” Yuk Chu said, ”I think, anyway, no matter how they manage internally in Yuehai, it has nothing to do with you, no need to offend someone for no reason, you get what I mean?”
