Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 923: Chapter 572: Deep Sea Begins Filming

Among the young generation, there are only a few actresses who are at the very top.

As new Movie Queens like Yin Lin emerge, if they don’t release new works or win more prestigious awards, their positions will eventually be taken by others.

Xu Jinbo’s words lingered in Zhou Yun’s mind for a long time, prompting her to ponder deeply.

The entertainment industry is never short of newcomers, and even more are ambitious individuals.

Zhou Yun doesn’t know how far she’ll go in the future, but she does feel a sense of crisis.

She is already at the pinnacle; either she maintains her current position, or she only has the downhill path left.

Zhou Yun doesn’t dare say she’ll remain popular into her old age.

Lew Qingqing was immensely popular two years ago, but in three years without any good works, she has been excluded by producers like Xu Jinbo from the leading candidate list for S+ dramas.

What about her?

Can she guarantee she has good works every year?

Zhou Yun thought, even if she won awards, has the title of Movie Queen, and is considered a bit higher, a bit steadier by many, how long can this last? How stable can it be?

If time isn’t favorable, and her works keep failing, what should she do?

These thoughts were spinning in Zhou Yun’s mind.

She fell into a deep sleep.

...

”Deep Sea” finally started shooting.

On the first day, two media outlets, arranged by Xu Jinbo, were granted visiting rights.

But Zhou Yun did not agree to an interview.

She had two important scenes to film today and didn’t want to affect her emotions.

So, Xu Jinbo arranged for Yuk Chu and several other actors to be interviewed.

Yuk Chu, who was hoping for more exposure, immediately agreed.

Again, Xu Jinbo admired Yuk Chu’s cooperation.

However, in this media visit, the reporters might most want to capture Zhou Yun.

Because everyone is most focused on Zhou Yun.

Although Zhou Yun didn’t agree to an interview, it should be okay to snap a few photos?

The media reporters communicated with the crew’s liaison, expressing their request.

The liaison hesitated a bit because the opposition was quite difficult, and he couldn’t stop them, so he went to find Zhou Yun’s assistant, Zheng Xiaojue.

Zheng Xiaojue knew Zhou Yun was brewing her emotions for filming and initially wanted to refuse directly, but she recalled how Zhou Yun often told her to be kind and help others when possible.

So, Zheng Xiaojue told them: ”Please wait a bit. If you have time, Eldest Sister Yun is preparing her emotions for the next scene now, disturbing her will affect her, but after she finishes, I’ll ask her.”

The liaison saw Zheng Xiaojue didn’t refuse outright and breathed a sigh of relief, ”Thank you.”

Zheng Xiaojue smiled with eyes curved like crescent moons.

”Why so polite.”

Xu Jinbo heard about this and chuckled, ”Zhou Yun is honestly great.”

The people nearby were puzzled.

This was obviously Zheng Xiaojue’s help, how did it fall back to Zhou Yun?

Xu Jinbo noticed the staff’s confusion and laughed, ”You’ve been with other crews, right?”

”Yes, been with them.” The other nodded.

”Have you noticed that the actors themselves are pretty easy-going, but there’s difficulty dealing with people from their teams?” Xu Jinbo laughed, ”Like when attending events usually, celebrities themselves show enthusiasm toward autographs, but their staff act fierce, as if celebrities shouldn’t be doing these things, dragging them away?”

”Yeah, I find many celebrity team members are bullying with borrowed authority, yet their bosses are clearly approachable people.”

”Have you ever thought these bully-like people are actually hired by their bosses? How they act, their working style, who are they listening to? If one or two individuals are difficult, it could be personal issues, but if a whole team’s always like this, you still think the celebrity is approachable?”

The staff showed a look of sudden realization.

”Director Xu, are you saying?”

”You see, you know from Zheng Xiaojue, she’s Zhou Yun’s most capable assistant, right? Should she refuse your request directly? With an extra interview, will she earn more money? Will Zhou Yun earn more money?” Xu Jinbo said, ”To them, agreeing to your request is entirely without any gain or reward, she could easily use preparing for filming, brewing emotions as an excuse to refuse outright, but she didn’t and said she’d help you ask after Zhou Yun finished the scene. It shows Zhou Yun never told her to not ask her such things in the future—don’t doubt, many celebrities do exactly tell their team not to ask, and refuse directly. Celebrities need to maintain their public image, but their team members don’t.”
