Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 940: Chapter 578: Hello, Sister

Xu Zixiang reluctantly greeted his sister.

The kid’s expression couldn’t be more foul.

Zhou Yun didn’t mind his attitude.

Teenagers at this age are usually like this. Their bad tempers and foul expressions aren’t really directed at you; they’re aimed at the world.

Zhou Yun and Xu Jinbo moved to a corner where they could talk freely without others around.

”Producer Xu, are you planning to keep your son by your side and take care of him personally?”

”He’s too rebellious right now. I don’t want to let him go on like this,” Xu Jinbo said. ”Recently, I divorced his mother. I know he’s mad at me for this and very unhappy, but there are things I can’t explain to him now. I don’t want this to affect him and lead him astray.”

”Hmm.”

”You probably heard about this matter long ago, right?” Xu Jinbo smiled.

Zhou Yun knew that Xu Jinbo was talking about the ”divorce.”

She said, ”In this film crew, all kinds of news fly around. It’s not just us celebrities and artists who get attention.”

Xu Jinbo stuffed his hands into his pants pockets, laughing happily.

”I’m surprised I’m receiving so much attention. I thought I was just a manager, and everyone only cared about how much money I paid you all, not my private matters.”

”Of course.” Zhou Yun glanced over at Xu Zixiang in the front, ”But I think you are quite brave. You’re the first parent I know who doesn’t make their disobedient child go to school.”

”Don’t say that, he still needs to go to school. But currently, I feel that he won’t pay attention in class anyway. Instead of wasting time at school or skipping classes, I’d rather let him experience some harsh realities of society to realize how fortunate it is to study in school.” Xu Jinbo said, ”From today, he’ll be working with the crew, earning his own meals.”

”Isn’t he just twelve? Isn’t this illegal use of child labor?”

”I’m not paying him, so it doesn’t constitute an employment relationship,” Xu Jinbo said. ”In short, if you get the chance, help guide him a little. You got into University A, surely you have a lot of experience to share.”

”I only have experience in studying hard. I have no experience in skipping classes or running away from home.” Zhou Yun laughed, ”Don’t count on me. I really have no clue how to deal with teenagers. Honestly, I can at most provoke him a little.”

”That’ll do as well.”

Zhou Yun: ”But, bringing him to the crew, won’t Huang Zhong hear about it and make a fuss?”

”Let him fuss all he wants. Whatever he stirs up will just be a ripple,” Xu Jinbo said confidently, ”Last time you helped me, and he got a good scolding from the bosses.”

”Tsk, he must have been offended.”

”Don’t worry, if anyone’s offended, it’s me. He holds a grudge against me.”

The two exchanged a knowing smile.

Regarding their stance towards Huang Zhong, a tacit understanding had developed between them due to past experiences. Zhou Yun was pleasantly surprised to find someone in Yuehai whom she’d actually consider a friend. Thinking about Xu Jinbo and Yuehai’s connection, she almost thought of the saying, ”Lotus grows unstained from mud”—ugh, too sickening. Zhou Yun couldn’t help but chuckle.

Xu Jinbo found it odd and wanted to ask Zhou Yun what made her show such an unusual smile.

Right at that moment, He Wenyun walked over.

She curiously looked them both over and asked, ”Producer Xu, Xiao Yun, what are you two whispering about here?”

Zhou Yun: ”We’re not whispering, just chatting openly and casually.”

”No way, my intuition tells me you were definitely whispering about something,” He Wenyun concluded seriously, but didn’t dwell on it and instead said, ”Producer Xu, I heard your son is here? Where is he?”

Xu Jinbo nodded.

”Right over there.”

”I heard he’s quite a handsome lad,” He Wenyun laughed, ”I must go see for myself just how handsome he is.”

With that, she walked away.

Zhou Yun and Xu Jinbo’s eyes followed He Wenyun’s figure.

She was seen approaching Xu Zixiang, chatting with him for a bit, though the specifics were unclear, then unexpectedly reached out and pinched Xu Zixiang’s cheek.
