Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 933: Chapter 575: Revised

Huang Zhong was all smiles.

”Xiao Yun, it’s been such a long time. You’re looking great, look at your skin, so smooth and soft.”

Zhou Yun beamed brightly.

”Really? I thought my skin got worse from all the filming recently.”

”Not at all, Jinbo, Xidong, you shouldn’t work Xiao Yun too hard. Xiao Yun is our lead star, what if she gets sick from exhaustion?” Huang Zhong said to Xu Jinbo and Cui Xidong.

Xu Jinbo laughed and said, ”Zhou Yun is so dedicated, she volunteered to shoot more so that the filming schedule wouldn’t be delayed, giving us more time later on.”

Huang Zhong said, ”Xiao Yun being dedicated is one thing, but we need to have our own stance. It’s not easy to invite Miss Zhou Yun to star in this drama. If word gets out that Xiao Yun was overworked for this, big stars like her wouldn’t want to work for Yuehai in the future.”

Xu Jinbo nodded and smiled, ”Yes, we’ll be more careful in the future to ensure Miss Zhou Yun has enough rest.”

Zhou Yun laughed and said, ”President Huang, you’re making me embarrassed. I really am willing to shoot more, you don’t need to treat me specially. I’m an actor, after all, and I’m resting well every day now. Didn’t you say I’m in good shape? Good work and good cooperation always make people happy, a happy mood is better than any rest.”

Huang Zhong smiled at everyone, pointing at Zhou Yun, ”Look at this, why did Xiao Yun win the Movie Queen at such a young age? It’s this dedication and love for acting. If she doesn’t win the Movie Queen, who does?”

The people around nodded in agreement.

Zhou Yun felt speechless inside.

Huang Zhong chatted with everyone about various things, whether there were any difficulties during filming, or any inconveniences in life, etc.

Why is Xu Jinbo considered a good producer? A good producer is someone who can efficiently manage a crew of dozens or even hundreds without any difficulties or hassles, both in work and in life. In the ”Deep Sea” crew, when Xu Jinbo is around, everything runs smoothly, whether it’s a celebrity or ordinary crew members. In many crews, conflicts arise just over getting a better room, but in Xu Jinbo’s crew, such issues rarely occur.

Xu Jinbo is undoubtedly very skilled at managing a team.

The scene looked very harmonious.

Until Huang Zhong suddenly changed the topic, asking, ”I heard there was a bit of commotion with the extras earlier?”

The atmosphere became awkward in an instant.

Zhou Yun thought, as expected, Xu Jinbo guessed right, Huang Zhong indeed brought it up.

Xu Jinbo said, ”There was some issue, but it’s been resolved.”

He did not elaborate.

Actually, if Huang Zhong wasn’t deliberately looking for trouble, when Xu Jinbo said the matter had been resolved, he wouldn’t need to pursue it further.

But Huang Zhong didn’t plan to let Xu Jinbo off so easily.

”Really? Your previous crews rarely had such problems, why did it happen this time?” Huang Zhong said, ”With your abilities, such mistakes shouldn’t have occurred, right?”

Xu Jinbo hesitated for a moment and said, ”I had some personal matters at home, and I wasn’t with the crew those couple of days, which led to this mistake.”

Huang Zhong suddenly frowned.

”Not with the crew?” Huang Zhong looked at Xu Jinbo, ”I was wondering why the crew under your watch would have such errors, so that’s why.”

Zhou Yun noticed the atmosphere getting awkward again.

She felt it was necessary to step in and alleviate the awkwardness.

”President Huang, it’s inevitable for some issues to arise during filming. The ’Deep Sea’ crew is already very organized.” Zhou Yun said, ”Nothing was really delayed.”

”Really? Nothing was delayed?” Huang Zhong smiled slightly and said, ”Why did I hear that several of you were affected by it in the morning and all went back? Wasn’t the scene that was supposed to shoot that morning not filmed at all?”

Zhou Yun was taken aback.

Could even half a day’s time be held against them?

Zhou Yun found it unbelievable.

If an issue arises in a crew causing a halt in shooting, it usually takes some time to resolve. But Xu Jinbo wasn’t even there, and yet he could resolve the problem promptly and shooting resumed as normal by the afternoon, which already speaks volumes about his capability.

It can’t be said that Xu Jinbo made no mistakes, that no issues emerged, but in terms of outcome, the impact wasn’t substantial.

Just half a day, for a crew, if an actor takes time to get into character, half a day’s effort would be consumed anyway.

At this moment, Cui Xidong suddenly spoke.

”Nothing was really delayed that morning, I adjusted the shooting plan, and we filmed as usual in the morning.”

Huang Zhong looked at Cui Xidong and asked, ”Really?”

”Yes, it’s true.” Cui Xidong nodded, ”It was just that the actors scheduled for that morning weren’t in good shape, so we adjusted the shooting plan temporarily. The scenes originally planned for the morning were completed in the afternoon, and nothing was delayed.”

Zhou Yun suddenly recalled that both she and Yuk Chu had marveled at Cui Xidong’s composure, still shooting with a straight face even in such a situation.

Now, Zhou Yun suddenly realized, maybe Cui Xidong’s demeanor was a self-protective mechanism developed under Yuehai’s bureaucratic scrutiny approach.

Zhou Yun suddenly understood why Cui Xidong insisted on filming according to the script, why he never interrupted shooting regardless of what happened on set.

Cui Xidong’s explanation made Huang Zhong frown.

Huang Zhong’s original intention was to pick on Xu Jinbo.
