Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 941: Chapter 578: Hello, Big Sister_2

Xu Zixiang suddenly jumped up from his chair and glared angrily at He Wenyun.

However, He Wenyun laughed even more joyfully, placing her hands on her hips, as if Xu Zixiang’s reaction made her even happier.

Zhou Yun said to Xu Jinbo, ”You better go save your son.”

Xu Jinbo replied, ”What’s there to save? If his skin is so thin, he needs to toughen up a bit.”

Zhou Yun gave Xu Jinbo a thumbs up.

The arrival of Xu Zixiang brought a fresh atmosphere to the entire film crew. From that day on, Zhou Yun constantly saw him in various corners of the set, sometimes helping to carry equipment, sometimes distributing lunch boxes, sometimes appearing with the transport team, running around various sites, and sometimes beside the lighting technician, helping with reflections.

Out of respect for his father, everyone was relatively polite to him, but Xu Jinbo seemed to have given instructions, so they ordered him around without hesitation.

Zhou Yun didn’t expect Xu Jinbo to be so serious about it.

Many parents are giants in words but dwarfs in actions; it’s not difficult for them to scold their kids for being stupid and lazy, but when it comes to letting their children go through struggles and hardships, nine out of ten can’t bear it.

But from an observer’s perspective, Zhou Yun felt that Xu Jinbo’s approach was the right one.

You can’t spoil your children, especially while they are growing.

After observing Xu Zixiang for a few days, Zhou Yun realized that he wasn’t as unskilled as his father described. At the very least, Xu Zixiang wasn’t lazy or a slacker when working.

Sometimes when the crew filmed night scenes, staying up until the early hours without wrapping up, he would stay up with the crew. And the next morning, bright and early, his father would drag him out of bed to work, filled with resentment, yet he never ran away.

Zhou Yun said to Zheng Xiaojue, ”I don’t know if it’s an illusion, but why do I feel like Xu Zixiang doesn’t actually dislike his father as much as Producer Xu says?”

Zheng Xiaojue had an expression that suggested it was obvious, saying, ”Children rarely truly dislike their parents. Usually, they say they hate them, but deep inside, they still have a natural trust and closeness to them.”

”You’re absolutely right,” Zhou Yun nodded in agreement, ”just a prideful tsundere.”

Zheng Xiaojue laughed happily upon hearing Zhou Yun’s description.

”Sister Xiao Yun, why do I feel that you actually like him a lot?”

Zhou Yun nodded, ”I do like him. He’s so adorable, a kid who works hard and strives upwards but pretends to be mischievous. Don’t you find that cute?”

Zheng Xiaojue nodded, ”He probably does it to get his father’s attention, right?”

”Hmm?”

”Because Producer Xu is rarely home, always busy with work, he tries to get attention this way,” Zheng Xiaojue said. ”That’s how I see it.”

Zheng Xiaojue’s words made Zhou Yun fall into deep thought.

Is that so?

Was this Xu Zixiang’s true intention all along?

At this moment, the director’s assistant came over to invite Zhou Yun; Cui Xidong wanted to discuss the next scene with her.

Zhou Yun took her script to find Cui Xidong.

Cui Xidong said, ”Xiao Yun, the scene we’re going to shoot later is a scene between you and Lingyue. Lingyue has always had feelings for you, secretly in love, but he didn’t dare to confess because he’s your subordinate. In this scene, after he found out you and Xin Zhike are together, he believes you’re unaware of Xin Zhike’s true nature or that Xin Zhike once stalked you, so to protect you, he reveals Xin Zhike’s true nature to you. But he didn’t expect that you already knew. Lingyue then feels puzzled, not understanding why you’d still be with him knowing this, and in his anger, you misunderstand his feelings, thinking he’s meddling, and your attitude is unfriendly. It’s not until he loses control and confesses his feelings for you that you realize, wanting to reassure him, but driven by pride, Lingyue refuses your comfort and runs off.”

This is a scene of intense emotional outburst, especially important for Xu Lingyue in this drama.

Zhou Yun listened attentively to Cui Xidong, nodded, and glanced at the location where they would shoot the scene.

It was a rooftop terrace.

A live-action shot.

Zhou Yun and Xu Lingyue rehearsed the scene under Cui Xidong’s guidance.
