”Tomorrow I’ll take you to a place,” Song Chi said. ”My scenes aren’t until the afternoon.”

”Ah? Where to?” Zhou Yun asked curiously.

Song Chi shook his head, saying, ”It’s a secret for now, but we need to get up early.”

Zhou Yun: ”All mysterious, what place is it exactly?”

Song Chi said, ”If I tell you now, there wouldn’t be any surprise.”

”Alright.” Zhou Yun said, ”Then I’ll wait for your surprise tomorrow.”

The hotel was just ahead.

Their hands were still clasped together.

As they crossed the last intersection, Song Chi turned his head to look at her and asked, ”Should we go in like this?”

Like this, he meant holding hands.

Zhou Yun nodded and said, ”Okay.”

Song Chi: ”What if we get photographed?”

”Then let them photograph us.” Zhou Yun said, ”I don’t want to stand by your side as just a friend anymore.”

Song Chi started to smile.

His eyebrows lifted, and his expression relaxed.

Zhou Yun said, ”Sorry for making you wait so long.”

Song Chi squeezed Zhou Yun’s hand and said, ”Then let’s go.”

Unsurprisingly, the scene of them walking into the hotel hand in hand was captured by paparazzi hiding somewhere.

And so, unsurprisingly, both of them trended on the search charts.

Almost simultaneously with making the hot search, both of their companies issued statements: Artist’s personal matters, no comments will be made.

...

Zhou Lan thought to herself, she was wrong, she really was, she shouldn’t have assumed from the start that Zhou Yun was a rational, self-disciplined person.

She never opposed Zhou Yun and Song Chi making their relationship public, but the key was—prior notice, be prepared in advance!

Not suddenly getting a phone call informing her, ”Sister Lan, I just walked back to the hotel holding hands with Song Chi, we were probably photographed.”

That nonchalant tone made Zhou Lan extremely frustrated; she really wanted to put a sack over Zhou Yun and give her a good beating.

But Zhou Lan didn’t have any time left to scold Zhou Yun.

She now had to race against time to communicate with Wu Chengbao about the follow-up public relations and responses.

Both parties met directly, and with a swift and decisive approach under a previously discussed general intention, they reached an agreement.

Neither side would make any substantial comments officially.

At this stage, the revelation of Song Chi and Zhou Yun’s relationship wouldn’t bring about any widespread negative impact on them; it might even be mutually beneficial.

In this era where everything is becoming data-driven, for people like Song Chi and Zhou Yun who didn’t like to hype or market topics, being in love could help them maintain sufficient exposure and popularity.

Both companies were willing to agree.

Especially Chengqian Entertainment.

After settling everything, Zhou Lan managed to fly to Zhou Yun’s side before the relationship reveal.

As both companies decided on a ”no comment” response, Zhou Lan was in the hotel room lecturing Zhou Yun, ”You’re usually such a reliable person, how could you suddenly hold hands in public today? Do you remember how you swore up and down that you would never expose your relationship with Song Chi? Is this your attitude? I’m really fed up with you.”

Zhou Yun looked up and smiled apologetically at Zhou Lan, saying, ”I just couldn’t help it.”

She hugged Zhou Lan and rocked her body like a child, cajoling, ”I know we were a bit impulsive, it definitely won’t happen again, I promise!”

Zhou Lan gave Zhou Yun a look but didn’t truly lose her temper, curling her right finger to knock on Zhou Yun’s forehead.

”If you pull another stunt like this, don’t say anything, just dip into your own pocket and give a bonus to the public relations department.”

Zhou Yun said, ”Should I give some now? Have they been working overtime?”

”What do you think?” Zhou Lan said, ”Today the entire PR department is on standby, for the next forty-eight hours they have to monitor the online sentiment nonstop, ready to clear your name, debunk rumors, and guide public opinion.”

Upon hearing this, Zhou Yun said, ”Then Sister Lan, please distribute a bonus to them from me, is ten thousand for each person enough?”

Zhou Lan looked at her in surprise, ”Are you really giving it?”

”I caused the trouble myself, I want to thank everyone.” Zhou Yun smiled and said, ”Go ahead and distribute it.”

Zhou Lan said, ”That’s going to be several hundred thousand gone just like that.”

”It’s fine, just give it.” Zhou Yun said, ”Anyways, I’m not short on money now.”

Zhou Lan: ”You’re really generous.”

”I’ve always been generous, it’s just that I didn’t have the money to show it before,” Zhou Yun shrugged her shoulders.

Zhou Lan laughed and said, ”Then I guess the colleagues in the PR department will start prating every day for you to have more publicity crises.”
