However, according to Kang Xin, Su Yan needs to recuperate in the hospital for some time?

Is her injury that serious?

Such doubts appeared in Zhou Yun’s mind, but she could only keep these doubts in her mind and would not ask them out loud.

Zheng Xiaojue was busy holding an umbrella for her and opening a folding chair, still in the old spot.

Zhou Yun went to sit down and took out the script.

She had read the script of ”Heart Inquiry” many times, especially her part as Liu Rusu, and she roughly memorized many of her lines.

According to her habit, she usually memorizes the lines word by word two days before shooting, otherwise if she memorized them too early, she might forget some.

Zhou Yun asked Zheng Xiaojue to tell the coordinator to inform her about the scenes planned to be shot in the next few days in advance, so she could memorize the lines early.

Shooting a TV series is like this, with many scenes and lots of lines, unlike movies where you can refine each scene one by one.

Even though Kang Xin is not as irresponsible as Lu Yuan, and lines that are not memorized by the actors can be dubbed in post-production, Kang Xin cannot make every scene perfect.

Sometimes, some lines cannot be restored to one hundred percent accuracy, and the actors might add their own interpretations, turning them into words they can speak.

Kang Xin doesn’t really like it when actors do this; he’s a director who hopes actors will strictly follow the lines written in the script.

He once said: ”This script is carefully crafted by the screenwriter, word by word; everyone speaks with their own rhythm and rhyme. If you casually change a few words, thinking the meaning hasn’t changed, it has. Those wouldn’t be the words your character would say anymore.”

Zhou Yun actually understands what Kang Xin means.

Indeed that’s the case.

The lines for Liu Rusu are very different from Zhou Yun’s usual speaking habits, and she can usually recite the lines from the script with one hundred percent accuracy.

She may not have taken professional courses, but her ability to memorize lines has been tested by the college entrance examination, and memorizing a large number of lines is not a big deal for her; she would stay up all night if she really couldn’t memorize them.

Zhou Yun holds such a belief.

In the middle, a break between sets.

Zhou Yun conveyed to Song Chi what Kang Xin had told her, voicing her own doubts.

She also wanted to know how the crew would handle the situation with Su Yan.

Song Chi said, ”Su Yan just claims she hasn’t recovered yet and needs to continue recuperating in the hospital. We can’t do anything but stabilize her and shoot your scenes first.”

”Su Yan refuses to return to the crew?” Zhou Yun was somewhat surprised.

Song Chi said, ”She got injured on set. If she truly uses this as an excuse not to return to the crew and insists on recuperating in the hospital, we can’t really say anything. But don’t worry, just focus on your acting. It’s not our place to be anxious. It was Yuehai who insisted on casting her as the female lead. If she tries to use this situation to her advantage, let Yuehai handle it.”

”What if she wants additional scenes, and Yuehai agrees?”

”Even if Yuehai agrees, it won’t work. Any changes to the script must first be approved by the director and me, as stated in the contract.”

”What if she never returns to the crew?”

Song Chi sneered and said, ”If she keeps refusing to return, we have ways to deal with it, though I hope it won’t come to that.”

Zhou Yun didn’t know what Song Chi meant.

But as long as Song Chi and the others had a plan, it’s okay.

The issue with Su Yan exploded on the internet for a day and then cooled down, with neither party responding.

The heat surrounding the issue naturally faded.

However, in the hospital, Su Yan felt uneasy. The response from the ”Heart Inquiry” crew was not what she had anticipated; they didn’t show sincerity in making amends. While staying in the hospital, the crew only arranged for one person to accompany her and handle the medical bills. He Ting made some moves to bring this issue to the hot searches, initially to pressure the crew, but the crew remained unmoved, acting as if nothing had happened. Su Yan couldn’t possibly come out and announce that this was true, in part because the crew never lacked safety measures, as there were photographic records, and on the other hand, if Su Yan really stepped forward to blame the crew, she would not only offend Kang Xin and Song Chi, but also Yuehai who supported her.

This could cast a poor impact on ”Heart Inquiry.” Once it affects profits, those who supported her could turn their backs faster than anyone.

”Sister Ting, are we really just going to stand by? You said today that the crew would surely not be able to resist contacting us, but no one has come over until now,” Su Yan frowned and looked at He Ting.
