Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 581: Chapter 441: Private Gathering (Part 4)

”Well, he is the favored son of the heavens after all,” Zhou Yun said. ”Someone as extraordinary as Golden Bird Phoenix, born with a golden key in his mouth, isn’t something us mere mortals could even dream of.”

Wei Heyun: ”How come you still sound so sarcastic even now?”

Zhou Yun took a deep breath, realizing that she really had gotten a bit too excited in her sparring with Wei Heyun.

”All right, I apologize to you.”

Wei Heyun waved his hand magnanimously and said, ”I forgive you.”

He wasn’t holding grudges now.

Zhou Yun pursed her lips and smiled.

Suddenly, Wei Heyun gave Zhou Yun a look with his two eyes and asked, ”Are you and Song Chi really dating?”

”I just apologized, don’t make me go off on you again,” Zhou Yun said. ”It’s none of your business, so don’t ask.”

Wei Heyun said, ”How is it not my business? That kid Song Chi was my rival in love, but if he’s really with you, then he has to become one of my bros.”

Zhou Yun with a face full of question marks: ”What kind of logic is that? Why does he have to become your bro if I’m really with him? What’s that got to do with you?”

With an expression that said it was the most natural thing in the world, Wei Heyun explained, ”Think about it, you’re my friend, so your boyfriend has to be one of my bros. How else are we going to hang out together in the future?”

Zhou Yun laughed and said, ”Are you out of your mind? Even if I’m your friend, why does he have to hang out with you? It’s obviously every man for himself.”

”Oh, you’re admitting you’re with him,” Wei Heyun said with a triumphant smile, ”and every man for himself, huh.”

It was only then that Zhou Yun realized she had fallen for this guy’s trick.

”Get lost, get lost, get lost.”

”Vulgar,” Wei Heyun clicked his tongue, ”I really don’t see why Song Chi would like a girl as crude as you.”

Zhou Yun: ”I don’t get why you like someone as contrarian as the goody-two-shoes Yu Sitian either.”

Wei Heyun suddenly became serious, said earnestly: ”You can say what you want about me, but don’t you dare talk about her.”

”...”

Wei Heyun said, ”I really do like her, and I don’t like hearing you speak ill of her in front of me.”

Zhou Yun took a deep breath, coming to terms with Wei Heyun’s logic.

”Okay, I apologize for what I said just now.”

”I know she’s done some things that weren’t nice to you, but I will make it up to you on her behalf. After all, it’s not like she did anything too outrageous, right? At her core, she’s still a very kind girl,” Wei Heyun spoke in defense of Yu Sitian. ”She’s just jealous of you.”

Zhou Yun blinked, then burst into laughter.

”I suddenly realize there are some redeeming qualities about you after all.”

Just a few?” Wei Heyun said with a mixture of pride and satisfaction, ”With looks and talent like mine, I am all shine.”

”Men should be less narcissistic.”

”Why should men be less narcissistic?” Wei Heyun asked.

Zhou Yun corrected: ”Fine, as human beings, we should all be less narcissistic.”

Wei Heyun: ”You’re the narcissist, I’m just stating facts.”

”Why do you have to be such a chatterbox?” Zhou Yun marveled.

Wei Heyun made a bowing gesture: ”Acknowledged, acknowledged, you’re not bad either.”

Zhou Yun pursed her lips, ready to spout something fragrant, but looking at Wei Heyun making faces, she couldn’t help but laugh again.

”See, you look so much prettier when you laugh,” Wei Heyun suddenly said, ”If only one day she would smile at me like that.”

Zhou Yun was startled.

Wei Heyun asked casually: ”Why does she always look so cold whenever she sees me?”

Zhou Yun suddenly didn’t know what to say.

Without resorting to jesting and jesting, she really didn’t know how to talk about these things with Wei Heyun.

She didn’t really have the right to speak on it, either.

Just like she had just realized, she knew far too little about Wei Heyun, and even less about him and Yu Sitian.
