Wei Heyun still showed up.

He didn’t care at all whether Zhou Yun truly didn’t want to see him. With full confidence that ”I don’t believe you really don’t want to see me,” he arrived wearing sunglasses and without bringing anything.

”Where are you? I’m at the airport.”

On the phone, his attitude was still as dismissive as ever.

Zhou Yun gasped in shock and cursed, ”Freak.”

”...What?”

”Ah, forget it, I can’t be bothered to explain, just take a cab here.” Zhou Yun gave him the address.

An hour later, Zhou Yun met Wei Heyun at the hotel’s café.

Both of them wore sunglasses, sitting and staring each other down in the café, neither taking off their sunglasses, both looking like pretentious lunatics.

”You really don’t understand human speech, do you? I told you I’m on vacation, yet you still insist on bothering me,” Zhou Yun said irritably.

She was quite familiar with Wei Heyun, no longer speaking politely.

Wei Heyun retorted, ”Aren’t you still a friend? I’m really irritated right now, and here you are, adding fuel to the fire!”

He had the audacity to turn the blame around.

Unflinchingly.

Zhou Yun really wanted to learn that skill.

”Alright, alright, just spit it out, why exactly were you grounded by your family?” Zhou Yun asked.

Wei Heyun’s expression seamlessly shifted to one of speechlessness and annoyance, his hands clasped on the table, leaning forward in a confessional posture.

”Look, if I want to pursue a girl, I have to at least give gifts, invite her out for meals, right?” he asked.

Zhou Yun frowned in confusion, hesitating before replying, ”That sounds reasonable.”

Only, who knows what kind of twist Wei Heyun would put on such a thing.

Wei Heyun continued, ”See, you think it makes sense too, but my family head chewed me out and grounded me for it, seriously a generational gap.”

”Hold on, first tell me exactly what happened, what gift did you send? Who did you invite for a meal? Yu Sitian? Did she go out with you?”

”She didn’t go out with me for a meal,” Wei Heyun said irritably, ”I just treated the whole film crew to a meal at her shooting site.”

”The entire crew?”

”Yeah.” Wei Heyun raised his eyebrows, ”What? Isn’t that acceptable? She wouldn’t agree to go out with me, so I had to ambush her on set. What was I supposed to do? Then the director actually complained directly to my old man, how petty can you get? It’s just a little delay in their schedule, right?”

Zhou Yun: ”...You arranged a big feast on their set without asking anyone’s permission beforehand?”

Wei Heyun explained, ”It was supposed to be a surprise! They were about to shoot a banquet scene, so when I heard that, it was perfect timing. I just hid among the extras, and even prepared a drone to fly a love banner outside the window to surprise her.”

Zhou Yun gasped.

Even though she thought Wei Heyun was a bit crazy, she hadn’t imagined he could be this crazy.

Still with a face full of righteousness, thinking he had done nothing wrong.

Zhou Yun earnestly asked, ”Wei Heyun, be honest with me, do you really think you did nothing wrong?”

Wei Heyun impatiently squeezed his eyebrows together and said, ”Fine, I know I indeed interrupted their filming, but I compensated them! I even paid for their venue rental, saving them some venue fees.”

Zhou Yun: ”Don’t you think you brought Yu Sitian an irreparable embarrassment?”

”Embarrassment?” Wei Heyun furrowed his brows, seemingly puzzled by the word.

Zhou Yun said, ”Do you know how many girls dread public confessions the most?”

Wei Heyun replied, ”Isn’t that quite romantic?”

”Romantic what? Then tell me, what if people around start to egg her on? To agree or not? If she doesn’t agree, it damages the guy’s pride; if she does, she forces herself.

”

”...” Wei Heyun glared at Zhou Yun angrily.

”Are you saying I did something wrong?”

Zhou Yun hesitated for a moment, but finally spoke the truth, nodding, saying, ”I suggest you not do this again.”

Wei Heyun: ”Geez, boring. I thought talking to you would be interesting, didn’t expect you to be such a bore, too!”

He got up and walked away.

Zhou Yun was taken aback.

”Wei Heyun!”

Wei Heyun waved his hand, meaning don’t bother him, and strode away quickly.
