Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 569: Chapter 433: All of a Sudden (Part 3)

She was too embarrassed to mention the word ’disability’.

Lew Yuan said, ”I don’t know, and I didn’t ask them to inquire. It’s okay, the focus isn’t on why his wife left him; I don’t want the audience to focus on that.”

Zhou Yun nodded.

Lew Yuan and Zhou Yun went upstairs together and arrived at Zhong Zhihui’s door.

Looking at the location and the housing estate, this family’s quality of life was not bad at all.

Being able to own a 160 square meter house in this area of Shanghai means they belong to a family that has done quite well for themselves.

Zhou Yun stood at the door at this moment, suddenly feeling a bit nervous.

”Xiao Yun, are you nervous?” Lew Yuan keenly noticed the change in Zhou Yun.

Zhou Yun took a deep breath, nodded, and said: ”A little.”

She was actually quite afraid of facing a person with a miserable life. Other people’s misfortune made her feel guilty and culpable.

Lew Yuan patted Zhou Yun on the shoulder and said, ”It’s okay, Mr. Zhong is a very optimistic person. The program team’s colleagues have communicated with him many times before. They all say Mr. Zhong is very interesting.”

Relieved by Lew Yuan’s words, Zhou Yun felt less anxious.

”Ding-dong.” Lew Yuan pressed the doorbell.

After a while, a childlike voice came from inside: ”Who is it?”

A boy.

This must be Zhong Zhihui’s son.

Lew Yuan said with a smile, ”I’m Lew Yuan. Are you Xiao Bei?”

”How do you know my name?” the little boy asked in surprise.

At this time, a mature man’s voice came from inside.

”Xiao Bei, who are you talking to? Do we have guests?”

”Daddy, someone rang the doorbell.”

The door opened.

Zhou Yun was a bit surprised.

The face inside the door was unexpectedly handsome.

He had some stubble, but it didn’t detract from his handsome features at all.

”Teacher Lew, it’s you guys. Welcome, please come in. I thought you would arrive later. Sorry, we’re cleaning up and the house is a bit messy,” Zhong Zhihui said as he opened the door and stepped aside.

Indeed, the room was a bit messy, with various packing boxes piled up on the floor.

Lew Yuan asked, ”When is Mr. Zhong planning to move?”

Zhong Zhihui replied, ”The Day After Tomorrow.”

”So soon?” Zhou Yun exclaimed in surprise.

Zhong Zhihui smiled and said, ”I found a new job back in my hometown and start on Monday next week, so I have to head there two days earlier to settle down.”

”Did you find a house there?” Lew Yuan asked.

”Yes, I previously bought a house back home. It’s more convenient. After returning, my parents can also help take care of Xiao Bei,” Zhong Zhihui said.

Zhou Yun couldn’t help but look at Zhong Zhihui’s empty sleeve.

Having no choice, she forcibly diverted her attention to greet Xiao Bei.

”Hello, Xiao Bei. I’m Zhou Yun.” She crouched down, extended her hand, and greeted the boy who inherited his father’s handsome looks, ”How old are you?”

”Eight years old.” Xiao Bei blinked his big eyes and shyly looked at Zhou Yun, ”Auntie is pretty.”

”So sweet-talking at such a young age, do many girls like you?” Zhou Yun teased.

Xiao Bei blushed and remained silent.

Zhong Zhihui poured tea for the two of them.

Zhou Yun felt especially embarrassed to have a one-armed man serve her tea and hurriedly said, ”I’ll get it myself, Mr. Zhong.”

Zhong Zhihui replied, ”It’s okay, I can still manage these little things.”

His smile made Zhou Yun feel like she had said something wrong.

She shouldn’t have been so overly cautious.

Zhou Yun felt apologetic and a little uncomfortable.

All of a sudden, Xiao Bei came over and sat next to her, asking, ”Auntie, are you friends with Mommy?”

”Hmm?” Zhou Yun was taken aback.

At this moment, Zhong Zhihui called out, ”Xiao Bei”, ”What does Daddy usually tell you? Mommy went to work abroad, and the uncle and auntie here are Daddy’s friends.”

Xiao Bei let out a disappointed ’oh’ and lowered his head, feeling dejected.

Zhou Yun saw a plea for understanding in Zhong Zhihui’s eyes.

Zhou Yun realized that Zhong Zhihui had not told Xiao Bei the truth about his wife leaving him.

”What’s wrong? I’m your daddy’s friend. Don’t you welcome me?” Zhou Yun asked.

Xiao Bei shook his head and said, ”No, I just miss Mommy a little.”

The little boy’s eyes were slightly red.

Zhou Yun hugged him into her arms and said, ”Auntie feels the same. Auntie hasn’t seen Mommy for a long time and misses her so much. No wonder Auntie found you especially dear the moment I saw you. We can be good friends, we both miss our Mommy a lot.”
