Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 568: Chapter 433: All of a Sudden_2

”I really, really love it! Super love it!” Zhou Yun exclaimed excitedly, ”Oh my gosh, Lew Yuan, what should I get you next time? This is such a surprise!”

Lew Yuan: ”It’s okay, I’ll like whatever you give me.”

...

After this segment of the recording finished, the mics on Zhou Yun and Lew Yuan were turned off.

Lew Yuan and Zhou Yun took a car to head to today’s filming location.

On the way, Zhou Yun curiously asked, ”Lew Yuan, why did you want to record a show like this?”

This kind of show has never appeared on the market before and is not really ”fun”.

Strictly speaking, if this program isn’t hosted by Lew Yuan, finding sponsors would be a problem.

And if it weren’t for Lew Yuan, Zhou Lan wouldn’t have sent this invitation to Zhou Yun.

The reason is simple, it wouldn’t become popular.

Even though Zhou Yun was now participating in this show, she still felt that it wouldn’t become popular. To be precise, she didn’t even see the point of this show.

Finding things that people don’t want, and selling them.

Minimalism?

Lew Yuan smiled and said, ”Actually, I was moved by the planning of this show. When they presented me with the plan, I saw some of the amateur guests they had selected before. There was this girl who had a boyfriend. They lived together for about half a year, during which she was abused by her boyfriend several times. She finally broke up with him and got over her trauma. She wanted to sell all the things that held memories of them together, because she didn’t want to remember that past. There was also an old lady who faced misfortune in life two months ago; her son and his family died in an accidental car crash. The government worried about her living alone without any support, and decided to send her to a nursing home. She could only take a few things with her, and had to sell most of her belongings. I’ve heard many such stories and felt that it would be meaningful to do a show like this. Selling things is a simple act, but each act carries a different story behind it. I think these stories are worth sharing with more people.”

Zhou Yun suddenly understood Lew Yuan’s intentions.

”So it’s like that.”

Lew Yuan nodded, stating, ”Didn’t think of that initially?”

Zhou Yun responded, ”I hadn’t thought of that; I thought it was just a show about decluttering.”

Lew Yuan smiled, stating, ”From the name of the show, it does sound a bit like that—Flowers and Things.”

”Why would you use such a name? The name sounds a bit...how should I put it, overly glamorous,” Zhou Yun said.

Lew Yuan explained, ”Because I don’t really want this program to give off too heavy of a vibe. I just want to share different cross-sections of life.”

Zhou Yun asked, ”Am I recording the first episode?”

Lew Yuan shook his head, ”You’re the second episode; the first one has already been recorded.”

Zhou Yun said, ”It’s lucky that this show met you. Honestly speaking, if I didn’t know the show was hosted by you, seeing its name and description, I wouldn’t have participated. As expected, I can trust your judgment.”

Lew Yuan laughed, saying, ”The guest for the first episode was Liang Yuanpu, Mr. Liang, and he said the same thing.”

”Mr. Liang?” Zhou Yun asked in surprise, ”Did he also come to record the show? Ah, had I known, I would have applied to record with him.”

Lew Yuan replied, ”No worries, I’ll introduce you next time.”

Lew Yuan has worked in the hosting industry for many years and knows almost everyone in the circle, a professional convenience that comes with his job.

Zhou Yun smiled and thanked him.

Upon arriving at the location, the two mic’d up and stopped discussing these personal topics.

Today’s guest on the show is a middle-aged divorced man.

A year ago, he lost his left hand in a work-related accident and became disabled. Six months ago, his wife left him, leaving behind a son.

Due to the high cost of living in a big city, this man decided to take his son and return to his hometown. Before leaving, there were many things that needed to be dealt with, and selling them could also be a significant income.

This man’s name was Zhong Zhihui.

Lew Yuan briefed Zhou Yun about this man’s background beforehand.

After hearing this, Zhou Yun felt compassion.

”Why did his ex-wife leave him?” Zhou Yun quietly asked, ”Because... of the accident?”
