Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 580: Chapter 441: Private Gathering (Part 3)

Wei Heyun snorted coldly, mimicking the action by crossing his arms in front of his chest as well, saying, ”You know I’m angry, and you didn’t even come after me?”

Zhou Yun scoffed wordlessly and said, ”Get your priorities straight. Why should I have come after you?”

”You pissed me off!” Wei Heyun emphasized.

Zhou Yun hissed, curiously asking, ”Wait a sec, Wei Heyun, let me ask you, has it been that as long as you’ve been angry since you were little, someone has always come to coax you? Not caring about whether you’re right or wrong, as everything just revolves around you?”

Wei Heyun detected the strong sarcasm in Zhou Yun’s words.

”What are you trying to say?”

”I’m saying that if you’re looking for someone to coddle you, go find someone else. I have no intention of indulging your temper,” Zhou Yun declared his position coldly. ”Of course, as your so-called friend, out of a sense of duty, I’ll also tell you this: Speak properly, don’t throw a tantrum like a little child every time something happens. I’m not your nanny, here to coax you into smiles.”

Wei Heyun stared at Zhou Yun for several seconds before finally muttering in a low voice, ”Why are you so fierce?”

”Welcome to the real world.”

At this moment, the waiter came in with the menu.

”Please have a look. What would you like to order?”

The young waiter glanced at Zhou Yun and seemed to find him somewhat familiar, giving him several more looks.

But ultimately, the young waiter didn’t recognize Zhou Yun.

To her, this couple with high attractiveness should be lovers.

Zhou Yun had no intention of passing the menu to Wei Heyun. He looked over it from top to bottom, called out a few dish names, handed back the menu, and said, ”That’s all, thank you.”

The waiter took back the menu and asked, ”Would you both like some tea?”

”Just plain water for me,” said Zhou Yun.

Wei Heyun coolly tilted his chin up and said, ”Same for me.”

After the waiter left, Wei Heyun asked, ”Hasn’t Song Chi ever told you that you have a bad temper?”

Zhou Yun rolled his eyes at Wei Heyun and said, ”Hasn’t anyone ever told you to shut your mouth when you don’t know what to say?”

Wei Heyun: ”...”

He realized that today he was like a target, pummeled incessantly by Zhou Yun’s machine-gun barrage, leaving him battered and bruised.

Wei Heyun had an idea.

”You’re not in a bad mood because something happened, are you? Come on, tell me about it. Maybe I can help you fix it.” Wei Heyun patted his chest and said, ”If you were in a bad mood, you should’ve said it earlier. I’ve already told you, you’re my friend. Your problems are my problems, and I will absolutely help you solve them.”

Zhou Yun: ”... I’m happy to hear you say that, but don’t make excuses for your immature behaviors that deserve scolding. I’m just showing you my truest self because I’m familiar with you.”

Wei Heyun: ”... Forget it, I guess I walked right into the line of fire by looking for you today. It feels like anything I say, you’ll snap back at me.”

Zhou Yun did not reply.

Wei Heyun sniffled and asked, ”Do you often come to this kind of restaurant?”

”Not often,” Zhou Yun admitted frankly.

Wei Heyun said in surprise, ”I thought you came here often, seeing how effortlessly you navigated the menu.”

”Where would I have the time to go out to eat on a regular basis? I’m so busy that I hardly have time to eat, and often, I just find a corner to eat a boxed meal,” said Zhou Yun. ”I told you, I’m on my day off today.”

”You choose this kind of place to eat on your day off...?”

”I take a day off to experience places and people I don’t get to usually,” Zhou Yun corrected. ”Don’t you find the people you usually meet, the places you frequently visit, they don’t change much? Everything’s similar. Even when you meet new people, they’re not much different from those you’ve known before. Even when you go to new places, they turn out to be not that different from places you’ve been.”

Wei Heyun thought hard and felt Zhou Yun was quite right.

”That’s true.”

”Right,” said Zhou Yun. ”So now you understand why I came here.”

Wei Heyun’s eyes suddenly lit up and he asked, ”Is this what they call ’the poetic experience’?”

”Poetic my foot, it’s just seeking novelty,” Zhou Yun expressed disdainfully. ”Why do you always try to put on airs? Even going to a small eatery, you talk about poetry.”

Wei Heyun insisted, ”I’m telling you, this is truly my first time eating at a place like this.”

”Oh.”

”If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have even stepped foot into a place like this.”
