Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 570: Chapter 433: All of a Sudden_4

Xiao Bei’s eyes suddenly lit up.

”Let’s go, take Auntie to see your room. If there’s anything you can’t take with you and need Auntie to help you sell, just tell Auntie,” Zhou Yun said.

Xiao Bei, a bit excited, lifted his head and took the initiative to hold Zhou Yun’s hand, saying, ”I’ve already organized everything.”

Zhou Yun said to Lew Yuan and Zhong Zhihui, ”Then I’ll go to his room with Xiao Bei.”

Lew Yuan nodded and said with a smile, ”Go ahead.”

Zhou Yun’s camera crew followed them in.

Xiao Bei curiously glanced at the cameraman, seeming a bit confused, but he didn’t ask.

His dad must have explained it to him in advance.

Zhou Yun sat in Xiao Bei’s room, listening to him describe every item he was reluctant to part with, to be sold.

”Actually, I want to take them all, but dad said I can only bring three toys,” Xiao Bei said with pursed lips, ”So, I can only sell these. It would be nice if I could give them to friends, but I know dad doesn’t have a job right now. If we can make some money and help dad, that’d be good too.”

Zhou Yun felt a pang of heartache hearing Xiao Bei’s sensible words.

She patted Xiao Bei’s head and said, ”It’s okay, after we sell these toys, you will have even more toys in the future.”

Xiao Bei hummed in response, but his spirits were not very high.

Perhaps the child had realized that he might not be able to buy any toys he wanted in the future.

”Can you tell Auntie which three toys you kept?” Zhou Yun asked.

Xiao Bei carefully pulled out a small box from under the bed, opened it, and said, ”These three, one is a birthday gift from dad, one is a birthday gift from mom, and this—this Ultraman, this was given to me by Meimei.”

Zhou Yun curiously asked, ”Who is Meimei?”

Xiao Bei’s eyes sparkled as he said, ”She’s my classmate, my best friend.”

He suddenly became downcast again and said, ”But it will be hard for me to see her again.”

He would no longer be studying in Shanghai and would move back to his hometown with his dad, naturally unable to continue being classmates with Meimei.

Zhou Yun patted Xiao Bei’s head and said, ”Xiao Bei, even if you can’t be classmates, you can still be good friends. You might not be able to meet often, but you can call each other, write letters, right?”

Xiao Bei nodded.

”And, you can also make many new friends, and later you can introduce your new friends to Meimei,” Zhou Yun said.

Xiao Bei didn’t speak.

Zhou Yun suddenly wondered, would Xiao Bei believe what she said?

...

The production team set up a sales booth in a busy area.

Zhou Yun and Lew Yuan leveraged their celebrity status to attract people to buy these items.

In about half an hour, all the items were sold.

Not surprisingly.

According to the show’s schedule, in the evening, Lew Yuan and Zhou Yun would invite Zhong Zhihui and Xiao Bei for dinner and hand over the earnings from the sales to them.

They packed up and went back to Zhong Zhihui’s home.

Just as they approached the door, Zhou Yun heard a heartbreaking cry from inside the house—it was Xiao Bei’s cry.

”Dad, dad—”

What had happened?

Zhou Yun immediately changed her expression and rushed to knock on the door, ”Xiao Bei? Xiao Bei? It’s Auntie Zhou Yun, what’s wrong?”

Xiao Bei, still crying, ran to open the door. When he opened the door, Zhou Yun saw Xiao Bei’s face, red from crying.

”Xiao Bei, what happened?”

”Dad fainted!”
