Su Yan sat to the right of Lew Qingqing and Zhou Yun, leaning forward with curiosity and asked, ”Did you two know each other before?”

Lew Qingqing immediately responded, ”This is the first time we meet today. Did you know Xiao Yun before?”

”Of course, it’s also my first time meeting her,” Su Yan said. ”But I was quite shocked when I saw the trending search this morning.”

Zhou Yun said innocently, ”Paparazzi making stuff up.”

”I remember you’re currently filming with Song Chi, right?” Lew Qingqing countered Su Yan, ”You should know very well whether Zhou Yun is Song Chi’s girlfriend or not.”

Upon hearing this, Su Yan’s gaze flickered briefly, and she laughed twice, saying, ”Although I’m in the same crew as him, how would I know about such things?”

This statement, at first hearing, seems fine, but actually remains vague. Lew Qingqing’s previous remark was an attempt to get Su Yan to serve as a witness and clarify the rumor. But Su Yan had skirted the main issue giving the impression that even if Song Chi and Zhou Yun were dating, she wouldn’t know.

Zhou Yun had no choice but to emphasize again, ”I really don’t know Teacher Song Chi.”

Lew Qingqing patted Zhou Yun’s hand and said, ”Don’t worry, fans are smart nowadays, they won’t be led by the nose by paparazzi. Don’t worry about it.”

Zhou Yun showed Lew Qingqing a grateful smile.

Beside them, Su Yan pulled sunglasses out of her bag and put them on.

Seeing this, Chen Quanying, who was talking to someone else, directly asked, ”Su Yan, the sun has already set, why are you wearing sunglasses? Trying to look cool?”

That comment nearly made Su Yan break.

Zhou Yun keenly noticed Su Yan’s lips twitch.

Having heard that Chen Quanying was straightforward, with plenty of hearsay about her putting others in their place in the industry, this direct glean of character was indeed... quite unique. At least, it was the first time Zhou Yun had witnessed someone blatantly pointing out another’s act.

Except for Lew Qingqing and Su Yan who were already at odds.

Su Yan, with a pout, complained, ”Oh, Sister Ying, I’m tired, just wanted to get some sleep in the car.”

Even Su Yan dared not directly confront Chen Quanying.

Lew Qingqing didn’t miss the opportunity to hit when one is down, ”Then let’s switch seats, I’d love to have a chat with Sister Ying. I’ve been a fan of her music since school and even attended her concert with friends.”

Su Yan shot a dagger look over instantly.

Chen Quanying excitedly turned to Lew Qingqing, ”You’ve been to my concert?”

”Yeah, five years ago, at Beijing Workers’ Stadium,” Lew Qingqing said, ”Do you remember?”

”Of course, I remember my own concerts,” Chen Quanying turned to Su Yan and said, ”Weren’t you going to take a nap? Since Lew Qingqing wants to switch with you, go ahead and switch.”

Su Yan looked awkward, as if caught on a hot spot.

She was being sent away.

Unable to swallow the situation, but having no choice, Su Yan begrudgingly swapped seats with Lew Qingqing.

With cameras still rolling, Zhou Yun smiled and called out, ”Sister Yanyan.”

Su Yan stiffly nodded her head and put her sunglasses back on, unclear if she actually fell asleep.

Zhou Yun then took out her phone, slightly turning away so Su Yan couldn’t see her screen, and messaged Zhou Lan: Did you see what happened this afternoon?

Zhou Lan: What?

Zhou Yun said: Su Yan kicked me.

Zhou Lan: What? During the game? She probably didn’t mean it, right?

Zhou Yun: No, she did it on purpose, because I wasn’t siding with her against Lew Qingqing, but instead, I’m getting closer to Lew Qingqing.

Zhou Lan: They really don’t get along, huh?

Zhou Yun: It escalated during the costume change.

Zhou Lan: Then hold off any rash actions for now, finish the shoot first, and remember how you need to appear on camera.

Zhou Yun: I know, but remember to ask someone for a video backup.

Zhou Lan: ”Leave this matter to me, don’t worry.”

Having made things clear, Zhou Yun breathed a sigh of relief and then turned to glance at Su Yan.

Suddenly, Su Yan spoke, her voice cold: ”Is there something?”

She was indeed not asleep.

Zhou Yun was baffled. ”Huh? Sister Yanyan, what’s wrong?”

Su Yan chuckled dismissively without saying anything, falling silent again.

Zhou Yun smiled helplessly, turned his head to look out the window, and the smile in his eyes gradually faded.

Upon reaching the dinner venue, everyone took their seats at a large table. The director and the cameramen were also ready. The area in front of the dining table was crowded with people, but only the artists were visible on camera.

Su Yan looked tempted by the food and said, ”I’m so hungry, I feel like I could eat a whole cow right now!”

Lew Qingqing immediately responded, ”Me too. I’m really starving. Director, are there no more tasks? Can we just eat dinner?”

The two girls gazed eagerly at the camera, their faces pleading.

Beautiful girls making such an expression always tends to soften people’s hearts.

But how could the director be softened?

”Of course... there’s a task.”

Su Yan and Lew Qingqing both sighed together but didn’t argue.

The men behind them also started to complain.

”Director, what about affection? What about your love for us?”

”I’m not filming anymore, I declare this shot my last one.”

”This is too much!”

...

It’s all acting, all for show, all for the camera.

Zhou Yun is not the protagonist, he just needs to smile helplessly.

Smiling beautifully, being a pretty vase.

”Xiao Yun, come sit next to me.” After taking her seat, Lew Qingqing called her over, ”Come quickly.”

Zhou Yun then moved over.

”Lew Qingqing, did you do that on purpose!” Zhang Haichen suddenly glared, ”I already said I wanted to sit next to Xiao Yun tonight!”

Zhou Yun looked bewilderedly towards Zhang Haichen.

Seeing Lew Qingqing smiling triumphantly, she said, ”Hmmph, stop causing trouble for our innocent Xiao Yun.”

Zhou Yun was utterly confused.

Zhang Haichen sighed, facing the camera with a melancholic expression.

Zhou Yun understood, it was again for the variety show effect.

She cheerfully hugged Lew Qingqing’s arm.

Su Yan’s face didn’t look too good when she saw this scene, and her gaze towards Zhou Yun even contained a bit of disgust.

Of course, this disgust avoided the camera.

Zhou Yun originally didn’t want to get involved in the conflict between Su Yan and Lew Qingqing, but Su Yan’s action that afternoon had ignited a fire within her.

Regardless of how much of Lew Qingqing’s warmth and closeness on camera was an act, at least Lew Qingqing didn’t pull this stunt on her.

Zhou Yun was happy to share sisterly affection with Lew Qingqing, which would infuriate Su Yan.

As the shooting continued, Zhou Yun and Lew Qingqing grew even closer, occasionally linking arms or embracing.

They were affectionate as if they had grown up together as close friends.
