Su Yan sat to the right of Lew Qingqing and Zhou Yun. She leaned over, full of curiosity, and asked, ”Did you guys know each other before?”

Lew Qingqing immediately answered, ”Today is the first time we’ve met. Did you know Xiao Yun before?”

”I’m also meeting for the first time today.” Su Yan said, ”But I was quite shocked when I saw the trending search this morning.”

Zhou Yun said with an innocent face, ”The paparazzi made it all up.”

”I remember you’re currently filming with Song Chi, right?” Lew Qingqing questioned Su Yan, ”You should know very well, whether Zhou Yun is Song Chi’s girlfriend or not.”

Hearing this, Su Yan’s eyes flickered, and she laughed twice, saying, ”Although I’m in the same crew with him, I wouldn’t know that kind of thing.”

This phrase, at first hearing, seemed alright, but actually still evasive. Lew Qingqing threw out that question to make Su Yan act as a witness to clarify the rumor. However, Su Yan cleverly avoided the main issue, implicitly suggesting that even if Song Chi and Zhou Yun were dating, she wouldn’t know.

Zhou Yun had no choice but to emphasize again: ”I don’t know Teacher Song Chi at all.”

Lew Qingqing patted the back of Zhou Yun’s hand and said, ”Don’t worry, fans are very smart these days. They won’t be led by the nose by the paparazzi, no need to worry.”

Zhou Yun showed a grateful smile to Lew Qingqing.

Beside them, Su Yan took out sunglasses from her bag and put them on herself.

Seeing this while chatting with someone else, Chen Quanying directly asked, ”Su Yan, the sun has already set, why are you wearing sunglasses? Trying to act cool?”

That remark nearly made Su Yan blow her cover.

Zhou Yun keenly noticed the twitch at the corner of Su Yan’s mouth.

She had heard about Chen Quanying’s forthright personality, and there were many rumors in the industry about her squashing others. Seeing it today, it was indeed... unique. At least, since Zhou Yun entered the industry, this was the first time she saw someone directly expose someone else like this.

Except for Lew Qingqing and Su Yan who were already at odds with each other.

Su Yan took off her sunglasses, pouted, and said miserably, ”Oh Sister Ying, I’m just tired and wanted to sleep in the car.”

Even Su Yan didn’t dare to confront Chen Quanying directly.

Lew Qingqing didn’t miss this opportunity to kick someone when they’re down, ”Then let’s switch seats, I actually wanted to chat with Sister Ying. I loved listening to Sister Ying’s songs when I was in school, and I even went to Sister Ying’s concert with friends.”

Su Yan’s glare shot her way instantly.

Chen Quanying looked at Lew Qingqing with surprise, ”You’ve been to my concert?”

”Yes, five years ago, at the Beijing Workers’ Stadium.” Lew Qingqing said, ”Do you remember?”

”Of course, I remember my own concert.” Chen Quanying turned to Su Yan and said, ”Weren’t you going to sleep for a while? Since Lew Qingqing wants to switch with you, go ahead and switch.”

Su Yan looked a bit awkward, as if she was driven to a speechless point.

She was being brushed off.

Su Yan couldn’t swallow her pride, but she had no choice and had to grin and bear it as she switched seats with Lew Qingqing.

There was still a camera filming, Zhou Yun smiled and called out, ”Sister Yanyan.”

Su Yan stiffly nodded her head and put her sunglasses back on, it was unclear whether she really fell asleep or not.

Only then did Zhou Yun take out her phone, slightly turned her body away so Su Yan couldn’t see her phone screen, and sent a message to Zhou Lan: Did you see it this afternoon?

Zhou Lan: What?

Zhou Yun said: Su Yan kicked me.

Zhou Lan: What? Was it during a game? It wasn’t on purpose, right?

Zhou Yun: No, it was on purpose, because I didn’t support her against our common enemy, but instead, I got close with Lew Qingqing.

Zhou Lan: They really don’t get along?

Zhou Yun: They outright clashed when changing clothes.

Zhou Lan: Then don’t act rashly for now, finish recording the show first, and don’t forget the image you need to show on camera.

Zhou Yun: I know, but remember to get a backup of the video.

Zhou Lan: I’ll handle this matter, don’t worry.

Having explained everything clearly, Zhou Yun breathed a sigh of relief and then turned to glance at Su Yan.

Su Yan suddenly spoke, her voice cold: ”Is there something?”

She wasn’t asleep after all.

Zhou Yun looked confused, ”Ah? Sister Yanyan, what’s wrong?”

Su Yan snapped sarcastically without saying anything and then went silent again.

Zhou Yun smiled helplessly, turned his head, and looked out the window, the smile in his eyes finally fading.

When they arrived at the dinner location, everyone seated at a large table, the director and photographers were also ready, the space in front of the dining table was filled with people, but only the artists were visible in the camera.

Su Yan, looking enticed, said: ”I’m so hungry, I feel like I could eat a whole cow right now!”

Lew Qingqing immediately responded: ”Me too, I’m really hungry, Director, there are no more tasks, right? Can we just have dinner?”

The two girls looked eagerly at the camera, their faces pleading.

Pretty girls making such faces always tend to melt people’s hearts.

But how could the director be swayed?

”Of course... there are tasks.”

Su Yan and Lew Qingqing both let out a sigh at the same time, yet they didn’t argue.

The men behind them started complaining as well.

”Director, what about feelings? Where’s your love for us?”

”No more filming, I declare this episode as my last recording.”

”That’s too much!”

...

It’s all an act, all for the show, all for the camera effect.

Zhou Yun wasn’t the protagonist, she just needed to smile helplessly.

Smiling beautifully, like a beautiful vase.

”Xiao Yun, come sit next to me.” Lew Qingqing took her seat and actively waved her over, ”Come on.”

Zhou Yun then moved over.

”Lew Qingqing, are you doing this on purpose!” Zhang Haichen suddenly glared, ”I said I wanted to sit with Xiao Yun tonight!”

Zhou Yun was stunned, not knowing what to do and looked towards Zhang Haichen.

Lew Qingqing, looking triumphantly, said: ”Hmm, stop corrupting our innocent Xiao Yun!”

Zhou Yun was utterly confused.

Zhang Haichen sighed, facing the camera with a look of frustration.

Zhou Yun understood, it was all for the Variety show effect.

She gleefully hugged Lew Qingqing’s arm.

Seeing this scene, Su Yan looked displeased, her gaze towards Zhou Yun even carried a hint of disgust.

Of course, this disgust avoided the camera.

Originally, Zhou Yun didn’t want to get involved in the feud between Su Yan and Lew Qingqing, but Su Yan’s kick in the afternoon left Zhou Yun feeling irritated.

Regardless of whether Lew Qingqing’s warmth and closeness in front of the camera were an act, at least Lew Qingqing didn’t pull that on her.

Zhou Yun was happy to get along with Sister Lew Qingqing as if they were close sisters, just to infuriate Su Yan.

During the subsequent shooting, Zhou Yun and Lew Qingqing became even closer, occasionally linking arms or hugging.

They appeared as affectionate as childhood best friends who grew up together.
