Su Yan sat on the right of Lew Qingqing and Zhou Yun, leaning in curiously, asking, ”Did you two know each other before?”

Lew Qingqing immediately answered, ”This is the first time we meet today; did you know Xiao Yun before?”

”Of course, it’s also my first time meeting her,” Su Yan said, ”But I was quite startled when I saw the trending searches this morning.”

Zhou Yun innocently responded, ”Those paparazzi are making things up.”

”I remember you’re currently filming with Song Chi,” Lew Qingqing retorted to Su Yan, ”You should know best whether Zhou Yun is Song Chi’s girlfriend or not.”

Upon hearing this, Su Yan’s eyes flickered and she laughed, saying, ”Even though I’m filming in the same crew, I wouldn’t know about such things.”

This statement seemed harmless at first but was actually quite evasive. Lew Qingqing threw out that comment wanting Su Yan to serve as a witness and clear up the rumor. However, Su Yan tactfully avoided the main issue, suggesting even if Song Chi and Zhou Yun were dating, she wouldn’t know about it.

Zhou Yun had no choice but to emphasize again, ”I don’t even know Teacher Song Chi.”

Lew Qingqing patted the back of Zhou Yun’s hand and said, ”Don’t worry, the fans are pretty smart these days. They won’t be led by the nose by the paparazzi, don’t worry.”

Zhou Yun gave Lew Qingqing a grateful smile.

Meanwhile, Su Yan took out sunglasses from her bag and put them on.

Seeing this, Chen Quanying, who was talking to someone else, bluntly asked, ”Su Yan, the sun has set; why are you wearing sunglasses? Trying to look cool?”

That remark almost made Su Yan slip.

Zhou Yun keenly observed Su Yan’s lips twitch.

She had heard about Chen Quanying’s straightforward character and numerous rumors about her stepping on others in the industry, and now she saw it for herself... it certainly was unique. At least, Zhou Yun had never seen anyone else reveal someone else’s intentions so directly.

Not counting those like Lew Qingqing and Su Yan who already had conflicts.

Su Yan took off her sunglasses, pouting and said plaintively, ”Oh Sister Ying, I’m tired and wanted to sleep in the car for a bit.”

Even Su Yan didn’t dare directly confront Chen Quanying.

Lew Qingqing wouldn’t miss this chance to kick an enemy when she’s down, ”Then I’ll swap seats with you, I’d love to chat with Sister Ying. I used to love listening to Sister Ying’s songs and even went to her concert with friends.”

Su Yan glared at her immediately.

Chen Quanying excitedly looked at Lew Qingqing, ”You’ve been to my concert?”

”Yes, five years ago, at Beijing Workers’ Stadium,” Lew Qingqing said, ”Do you remember?”

”Of course, I remember my own concert,” Chen Quanying turned to Su Yan, ”Aren’t you going to take a nap? Since Lew Qingqing wants to swap seats with you, just move over quickly.”

Su Yan’s expression was a bit awkward, as if caught on a hot grill.

She was being kicked out.

Unable to swallow her pride, but helpless, Su Yan could only grit her teeth and swap seats with Lew Qingqing.

With the camera still rolling, Zhou Yun smiled and called out, ”Sister Yanyan.”

Su Yan kept a straight face, nodded slightly, and put on her sunglasses again, not knowing if she actually fell asleep.

Then, Zhou Yun took out her phone, slightly turned her body to prevent Su Yan from seeing her phone screen, and messaged Zhou Lan: Did you see what happened this afternoon?

Zhou Lan: What?

Zhou Yun said: Su Yan kicked me.

Zhou Lan: What? During the game? She didn’t do it on purpose, did she?

Zhou Yun: No, it was intentional because I didn’t stand with her against the common enemy, instead, I bonded with Lew Qingqing.

Zhou Lan: They really don’t get along?

Zhou Yun: When changing clothes, they openly fell out.

Zhou Lan: Well, don’t be rash for now. Finish recording the show first, and don’t forget the image you need to present on camera.

Zhou Yun: I know, but remember to ask someone for a video backup.

Zhou Lan: Leave this matter to me, rest assured.

After making things clear, Zhou Yun breathed a sigh of relief and only then turned to glance at Su Yan.

Su Yan suddenly spoke, her voice cold: ”What is it?”

Indeed, she wasn’t asleep.

Zhou Yun looked bewildered, ”Huh? Sister Yanyan, what’s wrong?”

Su Yan chuckled, said nothing, and fell silent again.

Zhou Yun smiled helplessly, turned his head, looked out the window, and the smile in his eyes finally faded.

When they reached the place to have dinner, a large table, everyone took their seats, the director and photographers were also ready, the space in front of the dining table was crowded with people, but only the artists were visible in the frame.

Su Yan had a look of craving on her face and said, ”I’m so hungry, I feel like I could eat a whole cow right now!”

Lew Qingqing immediately said, ”Me too, I’m really starving, Director, there are no more tasks, right? Can we just have dinner?”

Both girls gazed at the camera with pleading looks.

Pretty girls always manage to soften people’s hearts with that look.

But how could the director be soft-hearted?

”Of course... there’s a task.”

Su Yan and Lew Qingqing both sighed at the same time, but didn’t argue.

The men behind also started to complain.

”Director, what about affection? What about your love for us?”

”I’m not filming anymore, I declare this to be my last episode.”

”That’s too much!”

...

It was all an act, all for show, all for the camera effect.

Zhou Yun was not the protagonist, just a helpless smile was enough.

A beautiful smile, like a pretty vase.

”Xiao Yun, come sit by me.” After Lew Qingqing took her seat, she beckoned actively, ”Come here.”

Zhou Yun then sat beside her.

”Lew Qingqing, are you doing this on purpose!” Zhang Haichen suddenly glared, ”I already said I would sit with Xiao Yun tonight!”

Zhou Yun was startled, looking at Zhang Haichen, not knowing what to do.

Lew Qingqing smiled triumphantly and said, ”Hmph, stop harming our Xiao Yun, she’s so innocent!”

Zhou Yun looked dumbfounded.

Zhang Haichen sighed, facing the camera, with a gloomy expression.

Zhou Yun understood, it was again for the variety show effect.

She cheerfully hugged Lew Qingqing’s arm.

Seeing this, Su Yan’s expression didn’t look very good, and her gaze toward Zhou Yun even had a bit of disgust.

Of course, this disgust avoided the camera.

Zhou Yun initially didn’t want to get involved in the dispute between Su Yan and Lew Qingqing, but Su Yan’s kick in the afternoon had ignited a fire in Zhou Yun’s heart.

Regardless of how much Lew Qingqing’s warmth and closeness in front of the camera were an act, at least Lew Qingqing didn’t pull this kind of stunt on her.

Zhou Yun was happy to act like close sisters with Lew Qingqing, just to infuriate Su Yan.

During the following filming, Zhou Yun and Lew Qingqing became even more intimate, frequently linking arms or hugging Lew Qingqing.

Affectionately as if they had grown up together as best friends.
