As soon as the Battlefield Ghosts appeared, the situation on Gu Xi’s side improved.

It wasn’t clear whether these Battlefield Ghosts were truly suited for this kind of battle or whether they knew the weaknesses of the Evil Mutated Muscle Beasts; nonetheless, under their attacks, quite a few Evil Mutated Muscle Beasts fell.

Gu Xi seized this opportunity. Every time an Evil Mutated Muscle Beast fell, he used the Soul Summoning Skill to summon a new Battlefield Ghost.

The newly summoned Battlefield Ghosts immediately launched attacks on the remaining Evil Mutated Muscle Beasts.

At this moment, Gu Xi also noticed some skills of the Battlefield Ghosts that weren’t recorded in the skill list.

The fact that they were named ’Battlefield’ was not because of their size but because they could genuinely fight on the battlefield.

When they first appeared, like other Ghosts, they didn’t have any weapons in their hands.

But when battling the Evil Mutated Muscle Beasts, they would conjure up a corresponding weapon based on the enemies’ weapons.

If the enemy wielded a sword, they had a Sword and Shield, and if the enemy used a Long Spear, they wielded a Dagger.

With weapons exactly countering those of their enemies, they would always hit the enemy’s weak spots in combat.

Moreover, when they attacked, they were quite shameless, preferring to sneak attack and siege.

Watching these five-meter-tall fellows creep stealthily from behind, Gu Xi felt he had discovered a great race.

Gu Xi’s gaze toward the Evil Mutated Muscle Beasts had changed by this time.

He stretched his hand, fixating on every Evil Mutated Muscle Beast; as soon as one died, his Soul Summoning Skill would promptly activate.

As the occurrences increased, the Evil Mutated Muscle Beasts also realized something was amiss.

They immediately turned their gaze toward Gu Xi’s direction.

But in front of Gu Xi lay a thick Bone Curtain.

Even if they looked over, the Evil Mutated Muscle Beasts couldn’t get through to Gu Xi.

Not to mention that under Gu Xi’s command, new Ghosts also rushed over, immediately joining the fight and using their methods to completely entangle the Evil Mutated Muscle Beasts.

This granted Gu Xi more opportunities, giving him time to summon Battlefield Ghosts one by one and replenish his forces.

Initially, Gu Xi believed everything would continue to go smoothly.

But unexpectedly, when more than three hundred Evil Mutated Muscle Beasts died, a voice emanated from the end of the hall.

”Noisy, can’t a person eat in peace?”

The voice was like thunder, startling everyone on the spot.

Even Gu Xi was taken aback and looked towards the direction from where the voice came.

He then saw, at the hall’s end, three even larger Evil Mutated Muscle Beasts sitting there eating and drinking.

Unlike ordinary Evil Mutated Muscle Beasts, they sat at a square table piled with roast beef, pork, and similar foods, wearing white napkins on their chests to prevent grease from trickling down.

Around the square table were the plates and bones of their leftovers.

The one who spoke was the Evil Mutated Muscle Beast on the left, wearing a red short shirt, who, after yelling, grabbed the roast beef in front of him and tore it apart like tearing a roast chicken leg, stuffing the leg into his mouth.

At this moment, Gu Xi realized these three might be the Bosses of the Evil Mutated Muscle Beasts.

It was unclear why they hadn’t joined the battle.

But Gu Xi knew he couldn’t cease fighting because of their voices.

”Ignore them, kill!”

Gu Xi ordered the Ghosts to continue slaying the Evil Mutated Muscle Beasts while keeping an eye on the three over there.

His hands never slowed, casting Soul Summoning Skills rapidly to transform the fallen Evil Mutated Muscle Beasts into Battlefield Ghosts.

The Boss had appeared, indicating that the battle had reached a critical point. If he didn’t quickly deal with these Evil Mutated Muscle Beasts, Gu Xi feared the aftermath could be affected.

Gu Xi’s guess was correct. When the number of dying Evil Mutated Muscle Beasts hit five hundred, the Evil Mutated Muscle Beast Boss, who yelled earlier, could no longer sit still. He forcefully overturned the table and stood up, striding onto the battlefield.

This Evil Mutated Muscle Beast was taller than any normal one, standing at a height exceeding seven meters.

Gu Xi noticed that unlike other Evil Mutated Muscle Beasts, whose bodies were covered in red fur, the truly red parts on this one were only the steel-like bristles under his chin.

However, this Boss showed more severe mutations. Upon standing, it became clear his legs had transformed into reverse-jointed hooves.

On the muscles under his red short shirt were wide-open eyes.

Upon stepping out, he offered Gu Xi no opportunities, throwing a punch at the nearest Battlefield Ghost.

The punch turned the pearl-white Battlefield Ghost into pure black, splitting it open from the impact and crumbling into black powder.

From this single blow, Gu Xi could see the opponent’s immense Attack Power.

He understood that ordinary Battlefield Ghosts were no match for this foe. Gu Xi pointed and said, ”Ghost Dragon, hold that guy off.”

As the Ghost Dragon charged forward, Gu Xi glanced at the battlefield not far away, ”Ghosts, attack with all your might. Ignore this side of the battle, finish off the Evil Mutated Muscle Beasts quickly—I’ve got this covered.”

Under Gu Xi’s command, all the Ghosts seemed to unleash their ferocity, disregarding their safety, launching an all-out attack.

To ensure the Ghosts could continue fighting, Gu Xi drew upon Isabella’s Blood Clone for the first time.

The Blood Clone assessed the battlefield situation, then turned to enter the Medical Tent dragged behind the Evil Coffin.

Soon, blood-red clouds appeared in the sky, with diluted blood-like liquid raining down.

These blood droplets evaporated quickly upon hitting the ground, causing no visible change.

However, when they fell on the Undead Warriors, red Auras appeared around them, replenishing their Life as long as they weren’t killed instantly.

Realizing this, the Undead Bosses paid no heed to Defense or similar issues. They had only one thought: surround and defeat the Evil Mutated Muscle Beasts.

At this point, the Evil Mutated Muscle Beast Boss had clashed with the Ghost Dragon.

As a kind of Ghost Dragon, the Ghost Dragon bore ghostly Traits. Though its Level was only 11, it was evenly matched with the enemy Boss.

This reassured Gu Xi greatly, as the current situation was advantageous to him.
