More surprises await Gu Xi beyond these rewards.

That includes permissions within the academy, department head permissions, and so on.

The permissions of the department head are fixed, the same for everyone.

Each department head can leave behind an oil painting for themselves, allowing them to manage their department even when absent through it.

At the same time, this painting is also a door.

The department head can enter and exit the Mysterious Academy directly through the painting, ensuring that both their growth and control over the department are error-free.

This is just the first step, the most basic permission that all department heads have.

Next, when one’s level rises to Level 5, 10, or 15, while in a position higher than the department head, they will receive a gift from the Mysterious Academy, a personal special clone.

This clone will be based on the basic skills of the other three academies.

The level will be equivalent to that of the department head, and the profession will be close to the basic skills.

For example, if the basic skill is the Leadership Skill, then the clone is likely to be a Knight. If the basic skill is the Luck Skill, then the clone is likely to be an Elf Shooter.

However, since the founding of the Mysterious Academy, only those from department head to dean positions have been heard to receive the clone twice, making Gu Xi the first below Level 5.

Gu Xi does not understand much about the concept of clones, which is usually used by bigwigs after Level 15.

Gu Xi still hasn’t learned many things now, so giving him a clone doesn’t actually serve much purpose.

However, the only benefit here is that this kind of clone won’t take up the number of clone skills in the future.

This isn’t bad news at all.

Of course, the benefits of promoting in the position of department head don’t stop there, because as a department head of the Mysterious Academy, the skill selection during upgrade will change from a four-out-of-one to five-out-of-two.

This benefit alone is enough to make everyone tempted.

The third point is naturally the permissions of the department head within the academy. As a department head, Gu Xi can read all the books in the academy, including some forbidden books.

Additionally, as long as he is in the academy, Gu Xi can quickly read and enhance his skill level by consuming Experience.

It’s like the Death Griffin Book in Eldest Princess Anna’s hands back then, except now this effect has become normalized, and Gu Xi can come here to learn at any time.

For Gu Xi, this is a good thing.

Although he’s unsure about what the hidden profession mentioned by Eldest Princess Anna entails.

Just seeing that hidden professions require the Three Divine Skills to start, Gu Xi knows that the level requirements for various skills later won’t be low.

Among these skills, Active Skills and Professional Skills can still be improved through means like brushing skills.

But some knowledge-based skills must be learned by oneself.

Now with the method of burning Experience to improve skills, Gu Xi won’t miss out.

He’s already determined that he’ll come here to read whenever he has time in the future to brush up his various skills.

Moreover, the library in the Mysterious Academy is certainly going to be superior to the Chaoyang Radiance Guild’s library, at least it’s the Mysterious Academy open to countless worlds, with no shortage of books.

These rights are all associated with the department head position, and as long as one sits in the department head seat, they’ll be entitled to them.

Back when Calimduo planned to make Gu Xi an empty shell, he also intended to preserve these three permissions.

Now, with Gu Xi holding everything in his hands, the permissions haven’t increased.

On the contrary, Gu Xi’s permissions within the academy are what he has to fight for.

Besides the dean, who can use all the permissions in the academy, anyone else, including the vice-dean, must rely on their reputation to use certain permissions.

As the head of the foremost department, Gu Xi naturally controls half the permissions, and with so many neutral staff he had previously won over, his permissions in the academy reaching 63% is no exaggeration.

Now within the academy, apart from affairs concerning the other three departments where Gu Xi can’t intervene, he can meddle in everything else.

This is not just about meddling; Gu Xi can actually benefit from it.

For instance, at the Blacksmith Shop, Gu Xi has priority since the blacksmith is one of his subordinates.

Similarly, at the Herb Garden, Gu Xi can plant whatever he wants because the staff there are also his subordinates.

Unless the dean personally orders otherwise, Gu Xi’s word is law, and no one can snatch that away.

He can even allocate a portion of the funds distributed.

Though each subordinate only gets a small share, when summed up, it amounts to a substantial income.

However, what Gu Xi is most concerned with right now is knowing through the permissions that the academy underground actually harbors a massive number of corpses.

These are the corpses of students from the previous Mysterious Academy, lost in time and space.

The souls of those students were protected by the staff, but their bodies were not preserved.

Some bodies deteriorated under the elements, while others were buried and transformed into various special corpses influenced by the Aura of Death.

Now that the Mysterious Academy has been rebuilt, the students protected by the staff have been released.

Some have reclaimed their bodies, becoming undead students, like skeletons or zombies, while others became ghosts due to missing bodies.

There’s also a portion scrambled into zombies-like sewn undead due to lost of their bodies.

But no matter what, corpses always outnumbered souls of students.

Over the years, there have always been places where the staff’s protection was inadequate.

So there are many corpses remaining.

Initially, these corpses were meant to serve as building materials.

But due to Gu Xi’s Soul Summoning Skill, the academy followed the trend and turned into an Undead Wind.

The resources originally meant to change the style can now be entirely used in construction.

This left many corpses without utilization.

Gu Xi’s subordinate staff secretly transported these corpses out and prepared to give them to Gu Xi.

Among these corpses, there are top-quality ones.

Back when the Crocodile Academy was still around, many knights came to learn the Leadership Skill.

In this batch of corpses, there are at least five hundred knight corpses.

And this is just a small portion of them.

The information about these corpses was intercepted by Gu Xi’s subordinates and friends.

No one but Gu Xi will know about this matter.

This is the benefit of high-level permissions.

This time, Gu Xi truly made a huge gain.
