Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 544: Chapter 542: Probing (Bonus Chapter)

When Gu Xi brought the troops over, the monsters who were eating and drinking all turned to look at Gu Xi.

Like the Evilized Corpse Eaters who kept eating candy before, these guys in front of him were constantly eating.

However, unlike the Evilized Corpse Eaters, no matter how much they ate, they didn’t turn into balls; instead, their muscles and size grew more outrageous under the stimulation of abundant food.

When they lifted their gaze from the feast, Gu Xi was startled to find these people looked like giants, sitting over three meters tall, their entire bodies’ muscles like twisted lines that granted them incredible power.

Red hair covered their heads and faces, completely concealing their faces, making them resemble giant red-haired gorillas.

At the same time, they were grasping roasted chickens and pigs, stuffing them into their mouths as casually as ordinary people would with candy, with golden oil dripping from the corners of their mouths onto the red hair on their chests, making the red hair shine with an oily gloss.

However, as Shaya mentioned, even while eating, they didn’t forget their identities, and their weapons were placed beside them where people could easily identify their professions.

Seeing the scene before him, Gu Xi couldn’t help but make a snide remark.

”If only Di Mi were here, full of giants; she loves them the most.”

After saying this, Gu Xi stood up from the Evil Coffin, decisively holding up the Cold Wind Staff, and said, ”Form up, prepare for battle, Arroyo, this time the Black Spear Camp is ready to strike.”

Under Gu Xi’s command, all the Undead swiftly began to move.

As before, they placed the Defense Type Undead at the front, with shooters, mages, and healing units in the back.

Gu Xi himself, along with some powerful Undead, stood right in the middle of the formation.

As Gu Xi and the troops moved, they immediately caught the attention of some guys, who pushed aside their food and stood up with their weapons in hand.

These guys carried heavy two-handed weapons like great hammers and war axes, lowered their heads, and charged towards Gu Xi.

”Why do they all use the same set? Don’t they have any other tactics?”

Gu Xi inwardly mocked, but his hands did not slow, and he cast Wraith Whiskers.

Then Gu Xi scanned his surroundings, and his eyes fell on the roasted chickens, pigs, and fish.

He focused his mind, and before Arroyo’s troops charged out, he pointed the Cold Wind Staff at the food.

”Corpse Burst!”

Boom!

Even Gu Xi didn’t expect that these cooked items could also explode.

Moreover, because they were roasted, the Corpse Burst also carried a flame effect.

In this explosion, enemies who had just been tripped by Wraith Whiskers were blasted into the air, and the red hair on their chests was charred by the fiery explosion.

But this guy didn’t die; he patted his chest to extinguish the flames, grabbed a war axe from the ground, and prepared to rush towards Gu Xi.

Gu Xi had already discovered the most suitable way to fight; he directly pointed to the base of the pile of roasted meat.

”Corpse Burst!”

Boom! Boom! Boom!

After several Corpse Bursts, a large amount of roasted meat was blown into the air, heavily crashing down on the monsters charging forward.

Afterwards, Gu Xi’s Cold Wind Staff turned towards them, using the roasted meat to inflict some damage on the enemy.

By this time, Arroyo had already led the Black Spear Camp to the enemy front.

The monsters were in chaos from the Corpse Burst explosions, giving Arroyo the opportunity to land an axe chop on the enemy.

But with that chop, Arroyo realized something was wrong.

The muscles on these guys were incredibly thick, and his full-power strike couldn’t break through their muscle at all.

Not only Arroyo felt this way; the Black Spear Camp he brought experienced the same problem.

The Black Spear Camp that had been unstoppable in attacks hit an impasse for the first time.

The long spear impaled the enemy but couldn’t penetrate too deeply, getting stuck only three centimeters in.

This kind of attack wouldn’t even make anyone believe it could penetrate defenses, let alone kill the enemy.

Seeing the situation, Arroyo became anxious.

He knew well that he had met his match.

If he didn’t think of a way, not only couldn’t he kill these guys, but he might also lose himself in the process.

So Arroyo gritted his teeth and used a skill he hadn’t used in a long time.

”Poisoning! Push forward with all your strength! Hold them back!”

Under Arroyo’s command, all Skeleton Gunners and Zombie Gunmen pushed their long spears forward with force, forcing a confrontation with the enemy.

However, Arroyo underestimated the strength of these opponents; after being pushed by the spears, they didn’t frighten but laughed loudly, slamming their warhammers or war axes heavily onto the spears and lances.

With each slam, many soldiers in the Black Spear Camp had their grips shaken open, and the long spears reacted by ejecting them.

Then these guys charged forward, and the heavy hammers smashed onto the gunmen.

Though these gunmen looked like Tin Soldiers, they were essentially still Skeleton Gunners or Zombie Gunmen.

For Skeleton Soldiers, blunt force like hammers was most lethal.

With one hammer swing, more than half of the gunmen fell.

As they fell, the gunmen behind were also affected, and the previously decently organized battle array immediately became chaotic.

Seeing this, Gu Xi raised his hand, the Skeleton Priest emerged, healing the Black Spear Camp, preventing the situation from worsening, meanwhile, the Skeleton Shooters and Skeleton Mages standing in the rear also began their salvo.

In the previous trial, they found the Evilized Corpse Eaters’ weakness.

Although they didn’t use it in the end, it did speed up the battle’s progress.

This time it’s the same; the musclemen, as big as small mountains, surely have their weaknesses too, but Gu Xi hasn’t found it yet.

But right then, Ayuelo, who had been pushed back a few steps, suddenly shouted.

”Black and Gray Shock!”

Then the standing Black Spear Camp gunmen were enveloped in the black and gray aura above their heads, charging forward a certain distance.

Gu Xi didn’t even see what happened, just saw the black and gray clouds sweeping out, a spectacle not inferior to the Death Incarnation - Bone Dragon’s effects.

The crucial part is, Gu Xi didn’t understand what was going on, only seeing them dash forward a set distance, emerging behind these monsters.

Meanwhile, a series of messages popped up.

[Skeleton Gunner (Summoned Creature) killed Evil Mutated Muscle Beast (level 7), you gain 1 experience point, the Black Spear Camp gains 1 experience point, Arroyo gains 1 experience point, the Summoned Creature gains 99 experience points.]
