Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 533: Chapter 531: Inside the Evil God Hall

Hearing Fang Kang’s question, Gu Xi instead stepped forward and looked at the returning Stone Golem.

”What’s the matter?”

”All the doors around us are fake, not a single one can be opened, we can’t get out of this space.”

Fang Kang explained the message he received from the Stone Golem.

Upon hearing this, Gu Xi frowned.

”The doors are fake, so our primary task should be to find a way out of here first, right? Shouldn’t we team up to look for it now? More people, more power?”

Yuan Xihua interjected at this moment.

”It’s precisely because we don’t want you to get involved, especially you, Yuan Xihua. Haven’t you understood what happened with the Teleportation Array before? With people like you who know nothing, causing trouble might just end up blocking the door completely.”

At these words, Yuan Xihua fell silent, feeling somewhat helpless; it really was his fault previously.

At this point, Fang Kang looked at the others again.

Gu Xi had no objection to finding the way.

As for Li Dangna, her mind wasn’t on this at all.

So Fang Kang quickly took out his troops.

He used a multi-layered plastic tool box to store his troops, with a gray base color and warm red edges.

Once the box was opened, Gu Xi could see that the first layer was a toy factory, where many green plastic figures were busy in the workshop.

Fang Kang didn’t seem to intend to use the first layer of troops, and instead, opened the lower layers.

Looking over, Gu Xi found that the second layer was a toy Library or Magic Tower, filled with numerous mages in red robes writing, drawing, and calculating something.

The third layer was the one Fang Kang wanted to open, where numerous small toys like Stone Golems, Stone Puppets, Iron People were stored. Upon a closer look, Gu Xi realized that these were the troops used by Fang Kang for siege battles when they first met.

These small toys were only two centimeters tall each. Fang Kang selected a handful of red Iron People from them.

After setting down these toy Iron People, they immediately transformed into iron figures over one and a half meters tall, with a red base and gilded edges.

Once they were released, Fang Kang made a gesture, and these Iron People either flew or ran, moving in all directions.

Compared to the Stone Golems, these Iron People moved significantly slower, but their eyes always emitted a dazzling light as they moved, clearly searching for something.

Gu Xi knew this was Fang Kang searching for a way to break through, so he didn’t rush and instead walked around the surroundings.

As Gu Xi moved, the other players started moving too.

Fang Kang merely instructed them not to destroy things recklessly but didn’t stop them from moving freely, so soon they split into four groups, each taking a position and waiting for the results.

Meanwhile, Fang Kang took this opportunity to release more of his troops a little at a time.

Besides the Stone Puppets and Iron People previously seen by Gu Xi, he also released a third of the green plastic toys from the first layer.

After being released, they turned into Green Dwarves, less than a meter tall, wielding large Iron Hammers, obviously capable of repairing all kinds of Golems.

Regarding the mages from the second layer, he only took out one-twentieth. These mages, once out, didn’t gather with Li Dangna’s mages but instead seriously checked on the conditions of the Stone Golems and Iron People.

Clearly, they were the designers of these Golems, also capable of adjusting the combat methods of Golems and enhancing their combat power.

After the Stone Puppets and Iron People, Fang Kang released some Copper-skinned Copper People and larger Silver Mecha.

Gu Xi even saw flashes of gold and diamond in the layer where he stored his troops.

Yet Fang Kang didn’t use these two types of troops, releasing only the Silver Mecha and no more.

As for the layers below, Fang Kang didn’t open them, and Gu Xi didn’t take a closer look, but he could be sure that even more powerful Golem troops were stored below.

While Fang Kang was deploying his troops, the flying red Iron People returned.

They gathered and landed in front of the mages.

The mages immediately dismantled the Iron People’s heads.

Each holding a head, they studied them, occasionally exchanging them, until a mage approached Fang Kang and spoke a few words to him.

Hearing this, Fang Kang’s face showed a hint of a smile.

He clapped his hands and said, ”Gentlemen, we’ve found the way. Let me explain: there are four paths here, corresponding to four directions. Shall we tackle them together or split up?”

”Is there a specific reason for that?”

Gu Xi had been observing Fang Kang’s actions, noting that Fang Kang seemed to be someone who plans before moving.

His ability to say this indicated he’d figured out the situation here.

”I just had my subordinates check, and there are four doors that can be opened, but I’m not sure which path behind these doors is real and which is fake.

Normally, we should proceed together and try one by one.

Anyway, we have enough troops, and our strength is sufficient. Three days is plenty of time to take down this Evil God Hall.

However, the relationship between those two might cause a fight if we’re together, so splitting up might be a better choice.”

Then Gu Xi suddenly spoke up.

”Is it possible that all four paths need to be tackled, and if we split up, someone might not reach the end?”

The others didn’t mock Gu Xi’s suggestion; instead, they fell silent for a moment.

This was indeed something that often happened; in games, it’s common to have scenarios where you need to clear three or four paths before the final Boss appears.

Sometimes, players split their forces, only to fail the mission because they couldn’t complete their individual tasks.

Gu Xi had never cooperated with other players before, so suggesting this possibility wasn’t unreasonable.

Fang Kang and the others had also encountered such situations, leaving them momentarily at a loss for words.

Finally, Yuan Xihua spoke up, ”If we act, we’ll fight to the end unless we’re dead.”

”That’s right, we’re not the kind of people who lack moral character.”

Gu Xi thought for a moment, ”Then how about one path per person? Luck decides each path; let’s break through our paths in two days. If after two days someone hasn’t opened their path, we’ll join forces.

We don’t have much time; there are four days left, but we need to reserve a day for fighting the final Boss, and to respond if the Evil God Hall descends after defeating the Boss.

So if we can take it down quicker, let’s do it.”
