”Map!”

Jumping off the Evil Coffin, Gu Xi opened the map at the first opportunity.

The map Lynch gave him was relatively complete, showing not only the surrounding terrain but also the core locations of several factions.

In the Studesstrup World, the largest city was naturally the main city Destrup City of the Stu Royal Family, located in the northern part of the map.

However, the area with the largest territory was the Golden Forest.

In this world, any forest where trees shed leaves in autumn was considered part of the Golden Forest.

The sacrificial site of the Evil God’s followers, the White Castle, and the High Mountain Castle occupied only a small corner of the map.

Previously, when Gu Xi looked at the map, he hadn’t connected the Evil God’s followers with the Thorn Forest.

Because those two places were too far apart.

Although the Thorn Forest was within the control area of the Evil God’s followers, it wasn’t at the core position.

According to the map, the Evil God’s followers’ sacrificial point, the White Castle, and the High City Castle formed an equilateral triangle.

The Thorn Forest on this side had nothing to do with the far side.

Looking at the map, Gu Xi was full of confusion.

However, at this moment, Gu Xi couldn’t afford to think much.

Earlier, he was considering whether to slow down his pace.

Now there’s no time for that.

Now it was definitely to proceed first.

Gu Xi raised the Cold Wind Staff at once, pointing it toward the Thorn Forest.

”Death Incarnation!”

This was Gu Xi’s first time using Death Incarnation at full mana.

Releasing the Death Incarnation, Gu Xi exhaled a long breath; the Death Incarnation hadn’t changed regardless of the mana amount.

After releasing it, Gu Xi quickly took out a Miniature Magic Potion and started drinking.

He knew that the Death Incarnation’s Death Dragon Breath would likely take more than one attempt to open a path.

Using Large Magic Potions to refill mana would be a waste.

The Miniature Magic Potions, which came so freely, were just right for use.

As expected, once the target was confirmed, the Death Incarnation lunged toward the forest ahead, unleashing a Death Dragon Breath as it opened its mouth.

As the Death Dragon Breath descended, all the thorns seemed to fear something, quickly retreating to reveal an even more bizarre scene.

The seemingly plastic trees instantly lost their support, beginning to melt rapidly.

Where the trees melted, Gu Xi couldn’t help but widen his eyes.

Dark red liquid flowed from the tree trunks, with countless fist-sized eyeballs dancing on the liquid’s surface.

These eyeballs seemed to possess life, flickering with eerie glows.

They seemed to be staring at Gu Xi, causing him a chill in his heart.

In the area where the trees melted, Gu Xi saw dark red liquid and large eyeballs.

Not having time to look closely at this situation, Gu Xi pointed forward with his Cold Wind Staff.

”Charge in!”

Upon hearing this, the Death Incarnation spewed Death Dragon Breath as it flew forward. After flying a hundred meters and opening a passage, the time for the Dragon Breath ended.

Without another word, Gu Xi directed front again.

”Death Incarnation!”

The Death Incarnation surged out of the black mist once more, immediately starting to spew Death Dragon Breath.

Gu Xi, riding on the Evil Coffin, again drank a Miniature Magic Potion, replenishing 100 points of mana.

Time and again, the Death Incarnation was summoned.

By the sixth time he summoned Death Incarnation, Gu Xi’s head started to hurt.

By the ninth time, Gu Xi’s eyes were having difficulty seeing the surroundings clearly.

During the fifteenth summoning of Death Incarnation, Gu Xi lay over the Evil Coffin, shoving a Miniature Magic Potion bottle into his mouth with one hand, while the other fixed the direction, pointing the Cold Wind Staff forward.

Upon the twentieth summoning of Death Incarnation, Gu Xi finally saw a path through the forest he had pierced.

The situation before his eyes briefly excited the extremely exhausted Gu Xi.

The castle ahead looked exactly as Lynch had described, not overtaken by the Evil God.

The handle he had seen outside the forest earlier was actually a plastic shovel taller than the turret.

This object was randomly stuck in the ground.

From the looks around, it seemed someone fancied the castle, trying to dig it up but to no avail after much effort.

For such a situation, Gu Xi finally felt somewhat relieved.

He rolled off the Evil Coffin, pointing back at the path burnt by Death Dragon Breath.

”Soul Summoning Skill!”

Under the influence of Undead Magic, the thorns retreated by the Death Dragon Breath sealed the path again.

As for the red liquid and eyeballs along the way, they were all crushed and swept away by the thorns.

New trees swiftly grew, filling the spots where earlier trees were melted by the Death Dragon Breath.

But Gu Xi paid these no mind, stretching out his hand to summon the Main City Gate behind him.

Subsequently, a massive Undead Corps emerged, led by Arroyo and Robbie.

Seeing them, Gu Xi finally closed his eyes.

”Guard the vicinity, attack anyone who dares to come close.”

Having said this, Gu Xi closed his eyes.

The continuous draining of mana twenty times was indeed a huge test for Gu Xi.

If not for his strong willpower, he could’ve failed to sustain it by the fifteenth attempt.

Now seeing his subordinates emerge, Gu Xi finally felt a little relieved, closing his eyes and falling asleep.

Gu Xi’s subordinates, witnessing this situation, also became tense. Arroyo and Robbie discussed it, deciding against moving Gu Xi into Yalidu City.

They were uncertain whether there might be other issues in the area that Gu Xi had strenuously entered.

If they were to move Gu Xi into Yalidu, and Gu Xi had to emerge after waking up, what if he ended up outside the forest again?

He would have to do it all over again, which would certainly drive him crazy.

Thus, they quickly encircled Gu Xi protectively. After some discussion, Arroyo took the Black Spear Camp to circle the castle, checking for other issues, while Robbie guarded Gu Xi with the Bone-Slaying Camp.

The remaining undead stayed put to rest.

Given that a gigantic plastic shovel stood before them, it signified major events were afoot.

It wouldn’t be impossible for an army to suddenly appear for an attack.

In such times, Gu Xi’s troops needed to maintain their battle readiness to ensure Gu Xi’s uninterrupted rest.

Fortunately, as Gu Xi slept, nothing changed outside, not even in the newly regrown forest he had carved a path through, which had already healed completely.

Nobody noticed Gu Xi, sleeping outside the castle nestled within the forest.

This allowed him a peaceful six-hour sleep.
