Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 513: Chapter 511: Embarking on the Path of Promotion

”Thanks, this is just what I need, I won’t be polite, here’s a little thing for you, it’s nothing valuable, just take it as a toy.”

Gu Xi spoke as he handed Hart a small gift.

It was a strange little item Gu Xi acquired in the world of the White Training Grand Ceremony, the Flying Balloon.

Taking the Flying Balloon, Hart studied it briefly, then laughed.

”This thing is interesting, many thanks, Lord Gu Xi.”

”No need for courtesy, I’m leaving now. By the way, this is my owl. If your master needs to contact me, just have the owl come find me.”

Gu Xi handed an owl over to Hart before he left directly.

The battle here clearly didn’t require his involvement, so he simply bypassed it.

Heading in the direction Hart pointed, Gu Xi suddenly paused after bypassing a small path.

At this moment, he was witnessing a completely different world.

The landscapes before him were normal, but the buildings in this world were in bright colors, resembling oversized Lego toys.

Especially the mountain road ahead, it was full of a plastic-like feeling.

And behind the White Castle, near the lake shore, there was a red and green train station.

”Is this world being treated as a toy?

No wonder this so-called Lida Scroll of the Evil God is so unpopular.”

Mumbling this, Gu Xi advanced down the path with his troops without approaching the lakeside train station or thinking of attacking the White Castle from the rear.

Gu Xi found that several forces in the Studesstrup World were recruiting manpower, all of them targeting the Evil God Followers.

This timing was perfect for Gu Xi to complete his own Professional Advancement task.

In Gu Xi’s mind, wherever he attacked, he would encounter some conflicts with other summoned experts.

Other players were probably not as easy-going as Fang Kang.

Anywhere Gu Xi went, he would be on guard, so it was better to complete his advancement first.

Once the profession was in hand, everything would be more manageable.

Even if the Evil God Hall descended, everything obtained in this world would be returned, but reaching Level 5 was still an achievement.

As long as the experience replenished, his advancement profession wouldn’t disappear.

Maybe he could even exploit a bug and repeat the advancement, gaining an additional Talent option.

With the thought of exploiting a bug, Gu Xi stuffed the map into the Evil Coffin, gathered his large troops, and only kept the Flying Team suitable for long distances out, heading full force towards the location marked for the Thorn Golden Crown on the map.

To ensure he wouldn’t be ambushed, Gu Xi’s Flying Team only included Stone Golems for scouting, along with Bone Dragons and Ghost Dragons.

Flying in the sky, their momentum was astounding.

The Evil God Followers immediately recognized Gu Xi’s presence.

But Gu Xi’s timing was ideal; the Evil God Followers were under assault by several strong figures.

Even if they noticed Gu Xi’s actions, nobody dared to provoke him.

This allowed Gu Xi to move smoothly forward, quickly reaching the place storing the Thorn Golden Crown according to the Evil Coffin’s map.

Arriving here, Gu Xi couldn’t help but pause.

The situation before him made him worried.

According to Lynch, the Thorn Golden Crown was hidden in a bramble-filled forest, where a hidden castle lay.

Gu Xi’s first task was to find the correct path through the thorn-filled forest and enter the castle.

The Flower of the North had been stuck at this step.

Not only the Flower of the North; everyone who came to challenge was stuck at this step.

This thorny forest was bizarre; no matter how one chopped, the thorns wouldn’t fall, fire couldn’t burn them, nor could one fly over.

With Physical Attack, the thorns would even rebound the attack’s effect.

The only way to deal with it was using the Death Attack method of the Death Incarnation.

Only this method could cut through the thorns, creating a path inside.

Next, the castle had no door; to enter, one had to release the City Gate of Death City to open a door to the castle.

As for what’s inside, Lynch didn’t know.

Because over the years, no one had contacted the Thorn Golden Crown, everything known was from the record of the earliest Shadow Crown Speaker.

In past Speaker records, the Thorn Golden Crown was obtained six times, four of which were for Professional Advancement into Special Professions, two by Level 15 Witches for other choices.

Besides these six, there are records of more than ten times reaching the castle side.

But after entering the castle, those people never came out.

So no one knows if they reached the Thorn Golden Crown.

Of course, the Shadow Crown people care about players finding the Thorn Golden Crown for a reason.

All their crowns are imitations of the Thorn Golden Crown.

If someone contacts the Thorn Golden Crown, the energy stored over the years will be distributed among all the imitation items, enhancing everyone’s power level.

Every time someone contacts the Thorn Golden Crown, for those with a Shadow Crown, it’s a wild celebration of power enhancement.

They are eager to pave the way for all who seek the Thorn Golden Crown.

If they could reach this thorny forest, they would carry people to its front.

But they’d certainly reveal all they knew.

While waiting for the Shadow Castle to reach the Soul-Devouring Valley, Lynch specially detailed all the steps, to prevent Gu Xi from overthinking.

Excluding what might be encountered inside the castle, every detail was clarified.

Which path is faster, where’s better to strike, how to place the City Gate on the castle, is there a Moat outside, all explained thoroughly.

It’s clear Gu Xi was fully aware of the conditions here.

Yet, what Gu Xi saw didn’t match Lynch’s description—trees entangled with thorns, behind the leaves, vaguely visible castle turret.

But the current scene was wrong; this forest was indeed full of thorns, but the tree colors were clearly off—plastic-like trees, each leaf unnaturally green.

Looking at the turret in the forest, Gu Xi felt increasingly uneasy.

That turret far surpassed the forest height; its original tall tower form had turned into a huge wooden handle.

The Evil God had interfered here.
