Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 537: Chapter 535: Blitz (Subscription Requested)

[Skeleton Mage (Summoned Creature) killed an Evilized Corpse Eater (Level 8), you gained 1 Experience point, Summoned Creature gained 33 Experience points.]

[Evilized Corpse Eater’s gastric acid erupts, increasing attack power of other Evilized Corpse Eaters by 1.]

[Note: Every time the number of fallen Evilized Corpse Eaters exceeds 100, their level will increase by one, maxing at Level 13. If over 1000 are slain, a Boss Level entity will appear.]

Seeing the information pop up in front of him, Gu Xi frowned.

What’s going on, does the Evil God Hall system provide tips?

Though puzzled, Gu Xi understood most of the enemy’s situation and did not plan to let them go unchecked.

”Skeleton Mages that utilize Lightning Arrow and Ice Arrow Skill will continue, the remaining Skeleton Mages prepare to use Slowdown Skill.”

Gu Xi commanded decisively.

The abilities of these Evilized Corpse Eaters seem to only show during their rolling and clashing like an assault vehicle, so slowing them down is the best way to deal with them.

Now, Gu Xi planned to prearrange the battlefield of Wraith Whiskers, thus naturally assigning the task of slowing down to the Skeleton Mages.

Those Skeleton Mages whose skills were clearly ineffective immediately used Slowdown Skill, slowing the movements of the red-haired man ball, no, the Evilized Corpse Eaters.

Meanwhile, the few Skeleton Mages capable of casting Lightning Arrow repeatedly used their Lightning Arrow.

At this moment, Gu Xi noticed that with each dead Evilized Corpse Eater, their strength began to increase.

Sometimes the Evilized Corpse Eaters would boost their defense, other times their life force, but it was evident that each time one died, one of their Attributes would be enhanced.

Initially, Gu Xi wasn’t too concerned, but after fifty Evilized Corpse Eaters perished, his expression turned somewhat grim.

He had realized that if things continued this way, by the time a thousand Evilized Corpse Eaters were slain and a Boss appeared, it would have attack power reaching several hundred.

How could anyone fight such an existence?

Under Gu Xi’s command, even two Death Incarnations could only withstand two attacks.

If this is the Boss of the first level, then there’s no point in continuing the fight.

There must be some other solution within this.

Gu Xi, while arranging the Wraith Whiskers, observed the surroundings, calculating in his heart, if necessary, he would deploy the Steel City Gate.

At that time, using the city gate to stall the enemy, and using the Earth-bound Deceitful Dragon to tackle the Boss.

But before that, it was essential to figure out whether the Boss used physical attacks or magic attacks.

After all, the Earth-bound Deceitful Dragon relied on this to battle.

Just then, a buzzing sound suddenly emanated from behind Gu Xi.

Gu Xi turned to look back and discovered a massive swarm of Evil Bone Locusts flying towards him.

They devoured every visible heap of food as they flew, racing toward Gu Xi’s location.

Whenever they flew over a food heap, a large amount of black granular Evil Qi Fragments would be left, but Gu Xi noticed that each time they swarmed over a heap, their numbers would significantly increase.

It seemed these Evil Bone Locusts continually replenished their swarm while devouring.

When this swarm of Evil Bone Locusts flew behind Gu Xi, their numbers peaked.

Gu Xi took a glance and quickly assessed the numbers in his mind: Evil Bone Locusts, all Level 4, totaling 65 groups, each group containing 1000, adding up to a total of 65,000.

The Evil Bone Locusts landed on the ground after flying behind Gu Xi, staring at the nearby Evilized Corpse Eaters, awaiting Gu Xi’s command.

Seeing this scenario, a thought flashed through Gu Xi’s mind.

Why not try a wide-range attack method to eliminate all the Evilized Corpse Eaters here?

The number of Evilized Corpse Eaters here shouldn’t exceed a thousand. This many Evil Bone Locusts would swarm 65 Evil Bone Locusts per Evilized Corpse Eater.

This attack would roughly equate to 65 Level 4 Skeleton Soldiers besieging an Evilized Corpse Eater.

Even if there would be losses, it wouldn’t matter much.

These thoughts flashed through Gu Xi’s mind, culminating in one sentence.

’Let’s gamble!’

Thinking this, Gu Xi decisively stood up, commanding the increasingly numerous Evilized Corpse Eaters before him: ”Evil Bone Locusts, split into groups to deal with the enemy, assign 50 Evil Bone Locusts per Evilized Corpse Eater.

Attack with full force, kill them all at once!”

At Gu Xi’s command, the Evil Bone Locusts that had just landed took off quickly, rushing towards the Evilized Corpse Eaters.

Then Gu Xi turned to the giant Skeleton that had been following him.

”Prepare your Lightning Arrow.”

The giant Skeleton had also noticed the situation with the Skeleton Mages earlier. Knowing well the enemy’s weak electricity resistance, Gu Xi was prepared to strike, and should the enemy survive, the giant Skeleton would act first.

The giant Skeleton stepped forward, raising his right hand high, forming Lightning Arrow in his hand.

However, he didn’t release the lightning; instead, he gathered power, and soon the lightning formed a Long Spear in his hand, repeating the concentrating process, gradually changing the lightning’s color from bright blue to dark purple.

At this moment, all the Evil Bone Locusts also swooped forward.

With decent speed, they first flew skyward.

Since these Evil Bone Locusts didn’t attack themselves, the Evilized Corpse Eaters ignored them, giving them a chance to lock targets in the sky.

Finally, the Evil Bone Locusts split up, forming squads of fifty, attacking the Evilized Corpse Eaters below.

Meanwhile, the Evilized Corpse Eaters were preparing to roll again, intending to crash into Gu Xi’s forces and break through Gu Xi’s battle array.

Just then, all the Evil Bone Locusts swooped down, biting into the Evilized Corpse Eaters heavily.

As Gu Xi estimated, fifty Level 4 Evil Bone Locusts, along with the support effects from Yalidu City and Gu Xi, posed no problem in taking down a Level 8 Evilized Corpse Eater.

Usually, two to three attacks were enough to eliminate an Evilized Corpse Eater, and then, it was time for the Evil Bone Locusts to devour their corpses and the expelled gastric acid.

Gu Xi did make one calculation error here, though.

He assumed that the data indicating the killing of a thousand Evilized Corpse Eaters would trigger the Boss meant there were precisely a thousand Evilized Corpse Eaters here.

Unexpectedly, that wasn’t the case.

There were actually about two thousand Evilized Corpse Eaters here; after taking down a thousand, the remaining ones would fuse and strengthen, transforming into a gigantic Boss.
