Even though he didn’t have a single task stone on hand, Gu Xi still took a look at this list that boasted so much.

Upon opening it, Gu Xi had to admit he was impressed, the rewards inside were indeed numerous and excellent.

Inside were architectural blueprints ranging from the Evil Temple to the Tomb.

However, due to the Shadow Crown’s inherent attributes, the style of these architectural plans leaned towards darkness and shadow.

There was no Divine Hall or Dragon Tomb here, but there was a blueprint for a Shadow Pond capable of training Shadow Hydras.

You could train 7th-level troops, the hydras, here.

Although hydras, along with bone dragons and phoenixes, were famously considered the weakest at the 7th level, this was still a 7th-level training camp after all.

Plus, with the traits of the Blood Maple Tree in Gu Xi’s Yalidu City, Gu Xi was tempted.

But after seeing the price tag of the Shadow Pond, Gu Xi immediately wanted to give up.

3,000 task stones, applying a rate of 2 to 5 task stones per task, meant Gu Xi would have to complete at least six hundred tasks here.

In seven days, Gu Xi was no grind master and didn’t have the time.

Rolling the list, Gu Xi stuffed it back into the hands of the quartermaster.

The quartermaster was already accustomed to Gu Xi’s actions.

”It’s fine, many people react this way, just take it slow. If you really want 7th-level troops, we do have 7th-level troops for sale here, and they’re cheaper than buying the training camp plans yourself.”

Just planning to leave, Gu Xi stopped in his tracks upon hearing that.

”You have 7th-level troops?”

”We do, not only that, we have 8th-level troops as well, Black Dragons.

The fiercest kind, promoted from respectable Red Dragons, immune to all magic.”

The quartermaster was rather proud, seeing this as a victory over Gu Xi.

”You really have 8th-level troops, and they’re Black Dragons?”

Gu Xi said faintly at this moment.

The quartermaster sensed something was amiss, but he gritted his teeth and said, ”Yes, absolutely, and they’re not like those junk Shadow Dragons.”

Standing beside, Lynch nodded as well, thinking the quartermaster was giving them a face-saving gesture.

Unexpectedly, Gu Xi directly asked, ”Where can I recruit them?”

”Ha, it’s not that simple to recruit. You have to boost your reputation first, and the cost of 8th-level troops is quite high. Most importantly, you have to queue up, and not every week do we have extra Black Dragons available for you.”

Before the quartermaster could finish his sentence, Gu Xi stuffed two 8th-level soldier recruitment coupons into his hands.

”Ten Black Dragons, the kind with full 8th-level magic immunity, thank you!”

”Mr. Gu, do you know what you are saying? Didn’t you understand what I just said? You have to boost...”

The quartermaster stopped mid-sentence as he realized what he was holding.

Soldier Recruitment Coupons, granting a single soldier recruitment qualification in your own, neutral, or friendly towns, directly recruiting 5 level-8 soldiers from the current city.

Now, there was no need to say that Gu Xi and the Shadow Crown had a friendly relationship. Even if it was just neutral, these recruitment coupons allowed direct recruitment, and for free.

Seeing the quartermaster speechless, Lynch also stepped forward for a look, then raised his head to ask.

”Gu Xi, why don’t you switch places to recruit? The Golden Forest produces Golden Dragons, Wild Wolf Valley produces Behemoths, and the Cathedral of the Holy Light produces Angels, all are good 8th-level troops.”

Upon hearing this, Gu Xi felt a tremor in his heart, but he still suppressed the idea.

”I just want Black Dragons, ten for now is enough, and most importantly, if Black Dragons die, I can make them into Bone Dragons.”

Lynch wanted to say, Golden Dragons can also be used as Bone Dragons.

But considering the difference in strength between Black Dragons and Golden Dragons, he said nothing and just waved to the quartermaster.

The quartermaster took the two 8th-level soldier recruitment coupons and then headed to the rear.

Seeing the quartermaster’s demeanor, Gu Xi couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

Serves him right!

Boasting so big earlier in front of Gu Xi, now he is afraid.

Soon, ten Black Dragons were brought out by the quartermaster.

Each of these Black Dragons was over thirty meters long, their giant bodies like towering mountains.

Their bodies were covered in black scales that shone with a cold, hard luster, like heavy steel armor, fearless of any challenge.

Each Black Dragon had a pair of huge bat wings, with limbs strong and powerful, each claw like a blade forged from endless strength, full of tremendous killing power.

When they landed in front of Gu Xi, they merely bowed their heads slightly to him, clearly showing their prowess.

But now these Black Dragons belonged to Gu Xi.

[Black Dragon (8th-level summoned corps): Experience (0/10000), Attack 45, Defense 30, Life 300, Skills: Flying Team, Magic Immunity (immune to all magic), Dragon Breath (breath range reaches 300 meters)]

Looking at the attributes of the Black Dragons, Gu Xi smiled.

Though the attributes were quite simple, just having immunity to all magic and a Dragon Breath range of 300 meters were traits that surpassed many creatures.

Not to mention the Black Dragon’s superb attack, defense, and life.

With these plus the attributes Gu Xi could enhance, Gu Xi believed these ten Black Dragons could take on all his surviving Red Dragons.

More than enough.

Satisfied, Gu Xi nodded, stretched out his hand, and the Steel City Gate appeared behind him.

These Black Dragons couldn’t be left here, they must be sent back to Yalidu City, no, they should be sent back to Yaliduvi Tower.

In Yalidu City, these Black Dragons might slowly turn into Bone Dragons, which would be a huge loss.

After sending off the Black Dragons, Gu Xi turned to look at the quartermaster.

”If I have more Soldier Recruitment Coupons, can I come here again to exchange for Black Dragons?”

The quartermaster’s movements paused noticeably, and just as he wanted to speak, Lynch said from the side, ”Gu Xi, we’ve arrived; Shadow Castle is about to stop. You should come with me, or we won’t have time to leave.

Take your troops with you, once we exit the Soul-Devouring Valley, there will be battles soon.

Here is the map, is there anything else you need?”

”The sacrifice of the Evil God’s followers, there should be a location for the sacrifice, right, where is that?”

”The map has it marked, the Evil God’s followers have three directions, one is at White Castle, which is the outermost location of the Evil God’s followers.

Next is at High Mountain Castle, it’s said to be the core location.

Finally, the current location where the Evil God Hall is descending, no place name now, but the Astrology Platform has predicted the location, the Evil God’s followers are conducting sacrifices here.

All three positions are labeled on the map, whether you can penetrate them is up to you.”

Lynch explained the situation to Gu Xi.

”You said exiting from the Soul-Devouring Valley will lead to a battle, is that because the Soul-Devouring Valley is close to which castle?”

”White Castle, right there when you exit.”
