Starting As a Young Eagle, I Evolve Into an Ice Beast

41: Chapter 41 As long as the people live, the faith lives, and the Dragon Kingdom endures forever! The Tier 2 exotic beast was enraged, looking up to the sky and roaring: ”Kill all these humans!”

”You’re right, these humans are too annoying! Let’s deal with the humans first!”

”Just because the tiger doesn’t show its might, do you really think we’re sick cats? Kill them for me!”

The Tier 2 exotic beast awakened those crazed, self-cannibalizing Mutated Creatures.

Those Mutated Creatures no longer killed each other, but instead pointed their spears at the humans.

In terms of dealing with humans, they were still very united.

The previous incidents of humans slaughtering and hunting down Mutated Creatures were still fresh in their minds.

Even if they hadn’t seen it themselves, they had heard about it from their own kind, and felt incomparably angry about it.

Pairs of scarlet and crazed eyes looked at the humans in unison, as if they wanted to swallow them whole: ”Kill them all!”

At the command, the beast tide charged in the direction of the humans, vast and mighty, shaking the earth and mountains.

”Not good, that group of beasts has united!” The officer stayed in the transport vehicle, looking at the situation outside transmitted on the screen in front of him, his face changing drastically.

”I didn’t expect this group of crazed beasts to actually be able to unite to deal with us.”

”They have long since developed intelligence and know that only by uniting can they defeat us, so this is not surprising.”

”Now is not the time to talk about this; the top priority is to withstand the attack of these beasts.”

During the last Aura Tide, most Mutated Creatures were sub-tier, or even without a rank, with very few being Tier 1.

But now, after absorbing the aura, the strength of these Mutated Creatures had greatly increased; the lowest level was sub-tier rank 8, 70% were Tier 1, and there were even dozens of Tier 2.

Under these circumstances, they had to worry whether they would fall here!

”No matter what, we must stop them!” The officer picked up the walkie-talkie and gave the order.

”Yes.” Every Soldier was clear about the danger this time, but they did not shrink back because of it; their eyes were firm, and they had long since made the determination to fight to the death!

All thermal weapons were used continuously, one after another, without end.

With firepower suppression, those Mutated Creatures were blown to death or shot into honeycombs before they could even get close.

”Call for air support!” The officer commanded the battlefield, calling for air support.

Before long, a massive fighter jet flew over from the sky and dropped a missile.

This was a cluster missile. After it was dropped, the casing separated, and wrapped inside were hundreds of small bombs—five hundred of them—scattering like flowers from the sky, covering the ground with firepower. It had massive lethality and dealt area-of-effect damage.

In an instant, the sounds of explosions—bang, boom, bang, boom—were continuous, flesh and blood flew everywhere, blood flowed like rivers, and corpses littered the field!

More than 60% of the Mutated Creatures died in the firepower coverage, and another 20% were on the verge of death, dripping with blood, their intestines spilling out from their bellies, having already lost the ability to fight.

This scared the remaining Mutated Creatures, along with those in the forest, half to death.

Facing the threat of death, they gradually regained their reason, instinctively retreating, not daring to advance. Now, only 20% of the Mutated Creatures on the battlefield were able to fight. The rest were either already dead or on the verge of death; barring any accidents, they wouldn’t survive and would die in pain.

”This... is too terrifying!”

”Why are humans so strong! Why! It’s clear that it’s easier for us to master aura, so why did we still lose to them!”

”Are we destined to always be crushed by humans? I am so unwilling to accept this!”

Seeing this scene, their confidence greatly diminished. They had originally thought... that after their strength greatly increased, they would be able to fight humans, or at the very least, fight to a draw, but they hadn’t expected the gap to be so large.

Bai Xuan helplessly shook his head: ”The overall situation is decided, I might as well go look elsewhere.”

After Bai Xuan witnessed the whole process, he didn’t expect that even fighter jets would be used.

Although the strength of the Mutated Creatures had greatly increased, facing this kind of terrifying firepower, it still seemed pale and powerless. After all, the development of humans over so many years was no joke. If Mutated Creatures wanted to have the power to fight them, they still had a long way to go.

Bai Xuan flapped his wings and flew away, staying no longer.

Bai Xuan had scavenged most of this Aura Tide, and some Low-Grade Spirit Stones were obtained by exotic beasts. Ever since that high-grade aura flew out, no more spirit stones had appeared, not even Low-Grade Spirit Stones.

However, the aura continued to surge toward the clouds endlessly. The rain fell harder and harder, with lightning and thunder. The smell of blood permeated the air, blood flowed for a hundred miles, and combined with the battles happening elsewhere, the mountain range had already become a scene of devastation, with the forest stained red with blood!

”That strange eagle has flown away.”

The officer watched the situation on the screen.

”Do we need to send a helicopter to kill it?”

”Helicopters can no longer kill that strange eagle; I think we should send fighter jets.”

”We don’t have enough fighter jets right now, and since other places also need fighter jet air support, I don’t think we should send fighter jets.”

”That makes sense, but are we just going to watch it leave? Furthermore, according to reliable information, that strange eagle obtained most of the spirit stones. If we don’t eliminate it now, in due time, it will become a source of endless trouble.”

The highest-ranking officer was silent for a moment, then sighed helplessly:

”Let’s deal with the matter at hand first. Report the situation of the strange eagle truthfully to our superiors and let them make the decision, while we only need to solve the current problem.”

Then he picked up the walkie-talkie: ”Full firepower, kill as many as you can!”

The remaining 20% of Mutated Creatures were high-level; while they were gathered, kill them as soon as possible, so as not to have to take time to deal with them later.

After a period of slaughter, the humans successfully occupied the Aura Tide and began to collect spirit stones and demon cores.

These corpses were a big problem. They did not leave but waited for the rain to stop, and then burned them.

It would be better if they could take them away, but the quantity was too large, and even tanks couldn’t drive in. They could only tread on the corpses to search for spirit stones and demon cores.

However, the effect was minimal. Blood had already flowed everywhere, nourishing the earth, and the flesh and blood of Mutated Creatures contained aura, which was of great help to living beings.

In the future, there will only be more and more Mutated Creatures, and they might even grow in a crazed state.

In this battle, humans suffered many casualties, being ambushed and killed by Mutated Creatures.

The officer watched the Aura Tide in front of him becoming weaker and weaker, about to stop.

Behind him, Soldiers were transporting spirit stones and demon cores, and simply treating the injured Soldiers. The methods were simple and rough but efficient; as long as it saved their lives, it was enough. The dead Soldiers were covered with red flags and carried into transport vehicles to return to their roots, taken back to meet their families, and then buried with full honors.

Some of these dead Soldiers were found inside the bellies of Mutated Creatures, and severed limbs were countless.

The heavy rain did not stop, lightning and thunder continued, and the Soldiers were immersed in a heavy atmosphere.

This was not depression, and certainly not fear.

The people’s own Soldiers of the Dragon Kingdom would not feel fear when facing any difficulties.

They would only charge forward bravely; when they met enemies, they would eliminate them; when they met difficulties, they would solve them. They would never be timid or afraid, and would never surrender or admit defeat.

Instead, this emotion was reluctance to part. Brothers who had braved life and death together had died, and coupled with the things they had encountered during this period, they couldn’t just heartlessly act as if nothing had happened.

They were also people of flesh and blood, not invincible.

”The Dragon Kingdom will last forever!” The officer’s eyes were firm, and he clenched his fists.

This had been his faith all along! The Dragon Kingdom would never perish and would definitely be able to break through all predicaments!

”The people are here, the faith is here, the Dragon Kingdom will last forever!” The other officers raised their hands to salute the Soldiers who had sacrificed their lives inside the transport vehicles.

”The Dragon Kingdom will last forever! The Dragon Kingdom will last forever!” The Soldiers affirmed their belief, with firm and serious expressions, saluting and shouting aloud.
