Starting As a Young Eagle, I Evolve Into an Ice Beast

13: Chapter 13 Becoming Neighbors, Crocodiles HuntBai Xuan settled Brother Hei on a large tree next to Huzi’s cave.

Although Huzi had some complaints in his heart about this, he still didn’t say much.

”Brother Hu, from now on we are neighbors, so please look after me, haha.”

To be honest, Brother Hei was still very afraid in his heart when facing such a large tiger.

Huzi grinned:

”Brother Bai calls you Brother Hei, I call Brother Bai ’Brother’, and now you’re calling me Brother Hu. Isn’t that a bit messy?”

”This...” For a moment, Brother Hei didn’t know what to say.

Bai Xuan smoothed things over:

”Let’s just each address the other as we see fit.”

”I’ll listen to Brother Bai,” Huzi replied upon hearing this.

Brother Hei also raised a hand in agreement:

”Good, the suggestion to each address the other as we see fit is very good.”

Bai Xuan was currently eight hundred evolution points away from advancing; he would strive to complete his advancement within three days.

”Huzi, if you find any spirit stones, remember to bring them to me. Similarly, there will be no lack of benefits for you in the future. Do you understand?”

Huzi was naturally reluctant. Why should he give them to you just because he found them?

But no matter how unwilling Huzi was in his heart, he had to do as Bai Xuan said:

”Understood.”

Bai Xuan could naturally see Huzi’s reluctance, but Bai Xuan didn’t care:

”I’m leaving first. You two get along well.”

After saying that, Bai Xuan flapped his wings and left.

”Has he always been this strong?” Huzi turned his head to look at Brother Hei.

Bai Xuan’s Animal Communication could already connect other animals; therefore, Brother Hei and Huzi could communicate without barriers.

”Not really. The first time I saw Little Bai, he was still an eaglet who had been pushed out of the nest by his two other brothers. He was at his last gasp and could have died at any moment, but this guy pulled through. After that, he grew frantically until he reached the powerful state you see now. I believe Little Bai will definitely become a hegemon in the future!”

Brother Hei was full of hope for Bai Xuan; he would definitely not be mistaken.

”It would have been so much better if you hadn’t saved him,” Huzi couldn’t help but speak his mind.

”What did you say?”

”I said Brother Bai is really strong,” Huzi realized he had misspoken and gave an awkward smile.

”Believe me, you can’t go wrong following Little Bai.”

”Snatching my spirit stones, what a despicable person,” Huzi complained in his heart.

...

Bai Xuan hunted the mutated creatures in the forest.

[Devoured Mutated Owl, Sub-tier Rank 3, obtained 4 evolution points.]

[Devoured Mutated Python, Sub-tier Rank 3, obtained 4 evolution points.]

[Devoured Mutated Hornet Queen, Sub-tier Rank 3, obtained 4 evolution points.]

[Devoured Mutated Hornet, Sub-tier Rank 2, obtained 3 evolution points.]

[Devoured Mutated Hornet, Sub-tier Rank 2, obtained 3 evolution points.]

...

Bai Xuan destroyed an entire hornet’s nest, eating many Sub-tier Rank 1 hornets, five or six Sub-tier Rank 2 hornets, and one Sub-tier Rank 3 hornet queen.

Whether it was those swimming in the water, running on the ground, or flying in the sky, Bai Xuan wasn’t picky; he ate them directly upon seeing them.

But there was still some time before his advancement.

”I must leave some mutated animals here.” Bai Xuan stopped his hunting.

He had to leave some to deal with humans, so Bai Xuan chose to go to other areas to hunt.

At the same time, none of the mutated creatures he killed had spirit stones.

If those with spirit stones that Bai Xuan had eaten were still alive, they would already be Sub-tier Rank 4, or even Sub-tier Rank 5 by now.

And the mutated creatures Bai Xuan was killing now all relied on thin spiritual energy to increase their strength; another large batch would appear in a few days.

The mutated creatures in other areas shouldn’t be bad either.

Thinking of this, Bai Xuan flew out of the central zone and headed towards the north.

...

On the riverbank, a large crocodile ten meters long was devouring a large antelope, its mouth full of blood.

It was the hegemon of this section of the river. The creatures in the water could no longer satisfy its appetite; therefore, it had come ashore to hunt the large antelopes that came to drink water, eating many of them.

But it still felt very hungry. As its level got higher and higher, the food it required increased. The river area, about a thousand meters long, was its territory. It had eaten all the larger fish in the water, followed by the mutated creatures, until finally only some small fish and shrimp remained, which weren’t enough to fill the gaps between its teeth.

[Race]: Mutated Crocodile.

[Level]: Sub-tier Rank 5.

Bai Xuan circled in the air, watching the situation below.

The crocodile finished off an entire large antelope in two or three bites and prepared to repeat its old trick, waiting for prey to take the bait. Its mind was now focused solely on eating food.

However, it didn’t dare to go further onto land. It knew that on land, its advantage would be greatly reduced. At the same time, it was unclear about the situation on the ground and couldn’t act rashly.

Bai Xuan, however, couldn’t care less. He struck directly, diving down and minimizing air resistance with maximum force, like a sharp arrow, charging towards the crocodile.

He locked onto the neck position, aiming for a one-hit kill if possible, or at least to prevent it from entering the water.

At the same time, the most important thing was that since this crocodile could evolve so quickly, it must have the support of a spirit stone; otherwise, it would be impossible to evolve this fast.

The crocodile crawled slowly towards the river, completely unaware of the approaching danger.

[Heavy Claw]

Only a ”swish” was heard.

Caught off guard, the crocodile felt a sharp pain in its neck.

Before it could react, it was thrown towards the forest by a massive force, smashing into a large tree that collapsed with a boom, sending dust flying.

”The defensive power is indeed high,” Bai Xuan couldn’t help but praise.

It had survived his powerful strike without dying on the spot.

The crocodile shook its head, its eyes revealing anger and sharp killing intent.

At the same time, eight bloody wounds appeared on its neck, with blood constantly gushing out.

Although it wasn’t killed instantly, it was not in a good state.

The crocodile wanted to see exactly who had ambushed it, and what came into view was a huge Goshawk.

The crocodile had the advantage in size, but this was land, and with that terrifying strength, the crocodile could gain no advantage at all in a fight:

”It’s treating me as prey?”

The crocodile was very angry, but it didn’t want to go head-to-head with this Goshawk.

As long as the green hills remain, one need not worry about firewood. It was better to run first!

The crocodile exerted force with its four limbs, crawling towards the river at its fastest speed.

As long as it entered the river, it would be safe.

The ideal was beautiful, but reality was harsh.

Bai Xuan flapped his wings and charged towards the crocodile; this strike would definitely kill it!

Seeing this scene, the crocodile was fuming. It exerted force with its limbs, leaped up, and opened its bloody maw, snapping at the incoming Bai Xuan.

The crocodile’s bite force was astonishing; even Bai Xuan didn’t dare to take it head-on.

However, Bai Xuan’s reaction speed was very fast. He dodged the bloody maw by a tiny margin and then grabbed the crocodile’s neck firmly with his Eagle Claws.

The crocodile cried out in pain, thrashing desperately, trying to use a Death Roll to break free from Bai Xuan’s attack.

But Bai Xuan was one step ahead, snapping the crocodile’s neck vertebrae. With a crack, the crocodile’s eyes rolled back, and its weight pressed down heavily on Bai Xuan.

Gradually, the crocodile lost all signs of life and was completely dead!
