Starting As a Young Eagle, I Evolve Into an Ice Beast

16: Chapter 16 Helicopters, Firepower Suppression”If you have the guts, come up here!”

Bai Xuan was not intimidated by them; killing them was as easy as slicing melons and chopping vegetables—what was there to fear?

Suddenly, a rocket streaked toward Bai Xuan.

With a deafening boom, dust flew everywhere, and the mutant creatures that were too close were instantly killed, their bodies pierced by the shrapnel from the exploding rocket.

”What the hell is that?!”

”The power is immense! That strange bird couldn’t have been blown to bits, could it?!”

”Look at the sky, what is that?”

The stone created a thousand ripples; the many mutant creatures all looked toward the sky.

What came into view were several helicopters, fully armed and equipped with missiles. Underneath their chassis hung heavy machine guns with immense power, far beyond what these mutant creatures could withstand.

They approached at extreme speed. The Soldiers at the windows held assault rifles, unleashing a ruthless barrage of gunfire upon the herd, with shell casings falling continuously from the helicopters.

The heavy machine guns did the same, firing non-stop at the mutant creatures. The muzzles flashed with fire as they aimed at the bombing zone, launching missiles out.

In a short time, hundreds of mutant creatures died on the spot. Bullets poured down endlessly, and hand grenades were thrown down from time to time, blowing the mutant creatures into shreds of flesh and blood.

”Is this what you called humans?” Huzi stared in astonishment at the helicopters that descended like gods.

”I suppose so.” Xiao Hei was also seeing this kind of situation for the first time; it was too terrifying. No wonder Xiao Bai told him to stay away from humans!

They were simply not on the same level; this was nothing short of a ruthless massacre!

”By the way, Brother Bai, what happened to him? He wouldn’t have kicked the bucket, would he?!”

Huzi remembered the scene where Bai Xuan was hit by the rocket and looked toward Bai Xuan’s location, but because the mutant creatures were panicking and fleeing in all directions in chaos, he couldn’t see Bai Xuan’s situation at all.

”I’ll go check. This place is not suitable for staying long. You go back first and wait for my news.”

Relying on the advantage of Flight, Xiao Hei flew over the heads of the many mutant creatures and headed toward Bai Xuan’s location.

He prayed in his heart: Xiao Bai, please don’t be hurt! I still need you to protect me!

Upon hearing this, Huzi nodded gently and replied: ”Alright, take care of yourself.”

With that, he fled into the forest; he simply couldn’t participate in this kind of battle!

Those iron contraptions flying in the sky were too terrifying. Wherever they went, mutant creatures fell one after another. It was best to leave before those iron contraptions discovered him!

”Don’t worry about me, leave quickly!” Suddenly, Bai Xuan’s voice entered Xiao Hei’s mind.

Hearing this, Xiao Hei stopped his Flight and gave a reminder: ”Don’t fight them head-on. If you can’t beat them, run.”

With that, he turned around and left; as long as Bai Xuan was fine, that was enough.

Besides, he couldn’t participate in this kind of battle anyway.

Meanwhile, Bai Xuan was buried under a pile of mutant creature corpses. Because the incident happened too quickly, these mutant creatures had panicked and fled desperately, eventually piling up. Some were still alive, while others had been strafed by machine guns, reduced to shreds of flesh and blood, and died on the spot!

Bai Xuan was almost suffocated, so he hurriedly entered [Berserk State] to break free from his predicament.

His blood circulation sped up, and wisps of white smoke rose from his body. With a burst of strength, he charged directly out of the pile of corpses and took to the air.

His eyes were blood-red, his entire body bathed in blood, and a pungent scent of blood permeated the air.

Bai Xuan had sensed the rocket coming, but it was too fast to dodge. He had taken the hit head-on, and the pain swept through his entire body; some of his feathers had also been blown off.

After stepping into the First Order, his defensive power had increased significantly, so Bai Xuan did not die on the spot. Looking at the helicopters in the sky, Bai Xuan’s eyes revealed anger.

This time, Bai Xuan was truly angry. He could tolerate being tracked before; if he couldn’t afford to provoke them, he could at least avoid them, so he hadn’t confronted them head-on.

But now, they had attacked directly to this location.

The helicopter’s first rocket had targeted him, and it hurt like hell. How could Bai Xuan not be angry!

In the end, Bai Xuan chose to leave while he could.

With his current strength, he was no match for the humans.

Furthermore, he had already taken quite a few Spirit Stones and made a huge profit. Continuing to fight them would not gain him any advantage and would not be worth the cost.

”He actually didn’t die!”

”This strange bird is truly terrifying.”

”Li Zhuo, shoot that beast for me! I don’t believe it—how many bullets can flesh and blood take? If a hundred rounds don’t work, then a thousand! Turn him into a beehive for me!”

The Soldier captain ordered the heavy machine gunner to aim at Bai Xuan and fire wildly. Da-da-da-da, bullets poured endlessly toward Bai Xuan!

The other Soldiers were fully armed, holding assault rifles, providing cover, and firing wildly at the flying mutant creatures, suppressing them with firepower so they couldn’t get close.

Bai Xuan flapped his wings and hurriedly dodged.

But the heavy machine gun bullets were immensely powerful and fast. With Bai Xuan’s current spiritual sense and vision, he could sense the bullets, but his speed couldn’t keep up.

Fortunately, his defense was high, and he could hold on for the time being.

Bai Xuan knew deeply that staying here would only make him a living target. With his flesh and blood, how many more bullets and rockets could he withstand?

He had to leave quickly.

Bai Xuan flew toward the direction of the forest.

The helicopters followed closely behind, firing bullets endlessly in a dense, non-stop barrage. Relying on his senses, Bai Xuan managed to open up some distance and dodge some of them, but a portion still hit him.

”Damn it, do you really have to push me to the brink of death?” Bai Xuan couldn’t help but curse loudly.

Bai Xuan flew into the forest, wanting to use the dense forest to limit the helicopters’ mobility, but the helicopters fired several rockets directly toward him.

A deafening boom followed, and over a dozen large trees were blown apart.

Bai Xuan was thoroughly angry; he circled around and charged at the helicopters.

He was extremely fast and arrived behind the helicopter in no time. With his sharp and hard Eagle Claw, [Heavy Claw], he struck a heavy blow at the tail rotor that controlled the helicopter’s direction. With a deafening boom, it was done.

The rotor was damaged, and the helicopter wobbled before finally crashing into the forest, sending up plumes of black smoke. The Soldiers and the pilot scrambled out of the crashed helicopter.

Carrying their weapons, they ran to a large rock fifty meters away, and the captain cursed angrily:

”What did this beast eat to grow up? This is so outrageous!”

”Have mutant creatures grown to this extent? To withstand so many bullets and rockets and still be full of life—that’s just too outrageous.”

”No, even if we have to sacrifice ourselves, we must eliminate this beast to avoid future retaliation! The consequences would be endless!”

A Soldier shouldered a rocket launcher, aimed at Bai Xuan, and fired a round.

At this moment, Bai Xuan was wobbling in the air, his body extremely weak.

His entire leg was dripping with blood, torn and shredded, suffering from a comminuted fracture. If it weren’t for his hard scales offsetting most of the damage, Bai Xuan’s leg would have been gone!

Bai Xuan was also too angry; the endless bullets, rockets, and rocket-propelled grenades had made Bai Xuan miserable.

He had originally thought they would leave, but he didn’t expect them to keep attacking him. This only enraged Bai Xuan even more!

Bai Xuan had already developed the intent to kill. He dove down, his eyes blood-red. The pain in his body and the pent-up frustration in his heart made Bai Xuan completely lose his reason and go berserk!
