Starting As a Young Eagle, I Evolve Into an Ice Beast

32: Chapter 32 Killing the Old Wolf, the Beast Tide Retreats”So state your choice: join us and fight side-by-side, or leave this place. The choice is yours. If you insist on staying without fighting while constantly devouring our kin, then don’t blame us for being impolite.”

Old Bei gave Bai Xuan a choice.

”You are a very good leader, but you shouldn’t exist... here.”

Bai Xuan admired Old Bei’s... leadership ability.

It was obvious from Bai Xuan’s words that he didn’t intend to let Old Bei live.

If it were anywhere else, Bai Xuan might not have killed it; letting it draw the attention of humans would have been quite good. But this town was where Bai Xuan had lived since childhood and his family was here, so he had to deal with the potential threat that was Old Bei.

”What do you mean?” Old Bei felt confused.

”Naturally, it means I’m going to kill you.” Bai Xuan gave a sly smile, then instantly swung his Eagle Claw, slicing off Old Bei’s head.

Old Bei perished before he could even react.

Bai Xuan opened his bloody maw and devoured him, gaining 30 evolution points.

The wolf pack protecting Old Bei flew into a rage at this sight. They bared their fangs and lunged at Bai Xuan, looking as if they wanted to tear him to pieces.

”How dare you kill Chief Bei!”

”Tear him to shreds! Avenge Chief Bei!”

Old Bei was their backbone and leader. Now that he had been eaten right under their noses, how could they not feel furious!

”Seeking your own deaths.” Bai Xuan moved, dealing with five large black wolves in just a few strikes. As usual, he devoured them.

Seeing that no other mutated creatures had noticed him, Bai Xuan continued to scavenge and devour mutated creatures.

Meanwhile, a large number of mutated creatures crossed the defensive line.

Soldiers and mutated pets fought to the death, clashing violently with the mutated creatures.

Looking at the endless stream of mutated creatures, the mutated pets trembled with fear and eventually turned tail and ran. Facing so many mutated creatures, staying here only meant death.

Without the support of faith, it was normal for them to flee.

But the Dragon Country Soldiers would not. They could never let the enemy enter the town. They had to stop them outside, using their remaining bullets to engage the mutated creatures.

Da Huang did not retreat because of this, instead scuffling with the mutated creatures.

Bai Xuan, hiding in the shadows, watched this scene. After a moment of hesitation, he chose to act. A figure emitting a faint blue cold mist cut through the air, harvesting the lives of mutated creatures like cutting through melons and vegetables.

”What is that thing?” The officer gripped his pistol tightly, staring at the faint blue figure.

”It’s... a blue eagle!” a Soldier holding a rifle replied in disbelief.

”That speed is just too fast, and that terrifying strength—killing those mutated creatures is like slicing vegetables. Where on earth did it come from? Why is it helping us?”

The officer muttered to himself, wondering why the eagle was helping them.

”Sir, what should we do now? Should we attack that strange bird?”

The officer pondered for a moment: ”Not for now. Let’s wait and see.”

”Yes, sir.”

...

Bai Xuan charged into the defensive line, harvesting the lives of mutated creatures. He also conveniently dealt with the black wolf that was scuffling with Da Huang.

Da Huang had seemed a bit overwhelmed fighting the black wolf, panting heavily. There was still a gap in their levels; being at the sixth stage of the Sub-tier wasn’t considered strong nowadays—it was below average.

”Brother Bai is so strong!” Da Huang muttered in his heart.

He wasn’t stupid enough to try and talk to Bai Xuan here.

At the same time, the Boar King and the Wolf King arrived with a large group of subordinates.

They felt a pang of heartache looking at the mountain of corpses before them, but there was no turning back now. Even if it was difficult, they had to push forward—success or death!

”Brothers, kill them for me!” The Wolf King let out a deafening howl.

The Boar King did the same: ”Kill them all! I’ll kill anyone who dares to retreat!”

The wild boars and the wolf pack charged aggressively toward the humans, making the ground shake.

”You human lapdog, take a strike from your grandpa!”

The Boar King’s massive body charged at Bai Xuan like a cannonball.

Bai Xuan sidestepped to dodge, and the Boar King directly crashed into a three-story building, causing it to collapse in a cloud of dust.

The Boar King shook his head. That collision was incredibly powerful, so it was normal to feel dizzy.

The Wolf King also saw that Bai Xuan was unusual and chose to deal with him first.

He leaped, launching a sneak attack from behind Bai Xuan, opening his bloody maw as if to swallow Bai Xuan whole.

”Too slow.” Bai Xuan’s divine sense had already detected the black wolf, and he dodged once more.

The black wolf missed his target, twisted his body in mid-air to land steadily, and looked at Bai Xuan warily:

”Why are you helping the humans?”

”No comment.” Bai Xuan’s body grew larger, his wingspan reaching eight meters, and his sharp Eagle Claws gleamed with a cold light.

He dove down from the sky. As an afterimage flashed past, the black wolf’s massive body crashed to the ground.

Its head was already missing. The Boar King was terrified by the scene before him.

Ignoring everything else, he turned and ran, truly frightened by Bai Xuan’s terrifying strength.

His own strength was slightly superior to the black wolf’s, but defeating the black wolf would still require a great price.

Yet the black wolf had been instantly killed by this strange eagle. How could he not feel afraid?

”There’s no way you’re escaping.”

Bai Xuan ate the black wolf’s head and then dove down again. His sharp Eagle Claws pierced the Boar King’s head. The Boar King’s eyes rolled back as he crashed down, his limbs twitching as brain matter flowed from several bloody holes.

First-tier mutated creatures were simply vulnerable before Bai Xuan.

Bai Xuan devoured the Boar King and the Wolf King. Seeing this, the other mutated creatures were so scared they turned and fled.

Their leaders were all dead. Knowing there was no longer any chance of victory, they fled back into the mountain forests.

Bai Xuan continued to devour corpses on the battlefield, and evolution points poured in steadily.

It would be a waste not to eat. He was already exposed anyway, and besides, Bai Xuan didn’t plan on staying in Dragon Country for much longer.

Being constantly restricted and having to be cautious made Bai Xuan feel very frustrated, but there was no other way. He definitely couldn’t win in a direct confrontation.

The human Soldiers watched the scene with cold sweat dripping down. they could clearly feel the terrifying aura emanating from Bai Xuan.

It was like a great mountain pressing down on them, making it hard to breathe. Furthermore, they didn’t have many bullets left.

They could only watch Bai Xuan warily, waiting for orders from their superiors.

An iron table was moved to the edge of the rooftop wall, and a Soldier set up a heavy sniper rifle on it.

The officer waved his hand gently, signaling the Soldier to step back; he would use the sniper rifle himself.

The officer locked onto Bai Xuan through the scope and was about to pull the trigger.

Suddenly, his vision went dark. Bai Xuan had abruptly appeared on the roof and crushed the heavy sniper rifle under his foot.

Cold eagle eyes looked down at the officer from above.

The other Soldiers quickly raised their rifles and aimed at Bai Xuan. If Bai Xuan dared to harm the officer,

They would not hesitate to open fire and turn Bai Xuan into a honeycomb.

”Don’t fire.” The officer stood up, met Bai Xuan’s gaze, and then raised his palm to signal the Soldiers not to shoot.
