Starting As a Young Eagle, I Evolve Into an Ice Beast

20: Chapter 20 Little Black, Tiger Escaped? The central zone.

The Aura here is more than three times denser than in the outer regions.

Huzi lay on the mountaintop basking in the sun, appearing exceptionally leisurely.

In the mountain range, Huzi is the strongest mutated creature besides Bai Xuan.

Its racial talent, combined with occupying the mountaintop rich in Aura.

Allowed Huzi’s level to soar, and now it possesses a level of Tier 1 Stage 4, with a body length reaching ten meters and a purple crystal horn growing above its brow, looking majestic.

Just by lying on the mountaintop, no mutated creature dared to approach.

It commands respect without anger, a true King of Beasts.

”Huzi, it’s terrible! Humans have intruded into the central zone and are charging towards us!”

Little Black flew to the mountaintop in a rush, its tone flustered.

Huzi opened its eyes abruptly: ”They really are stubborn!”

Humans controlled the location of the Aura Tide to conduct investigations and research; once a mutated creature approached, it would be riddled with bullets.

Huzi and Little Black didn’t dare to approach either, and at the same time, they felt very angry. This was their territory, and by swaggering into the mountain range and seizing the land of the Aura Tide, they simply didn’t take them seriously.

But they were helpless; after all, they were no match for humans yet and could only hide on a distant mountaintop, watching.

During this time, drones appeared from time to time. Every time, Little Black would destroy them, but it didn’t have much effect. Cameras were hidden in the dark, monitoring their every move.

Huzi naturally felt extremely impatient and felt stifled to death inside.

”There is no time to lose, let’s run quickly.” Seeing that the humans were aggressive and came with ill intent, Little Black came specifically to notify Huzi so they could leave together.

”Too much bullying! No, we cannot leave. This is our territory. If we tuck our tails and run again, it would be too stifling, and we would be looked down upon by those detestable humans. I cannot afford to lose face for the tiger!”

Huzi was so angry it gritted its teeth; it had no good impression of humans now.

”That may be so, but we are no match for those humans. As long as the green mountains remain, there is no need to worry about firewood. When we grow up, it won’t be too late to take revenge. Let’s run first, it’s almost too late.”

Little Black understood the terrifying nature of humans; a direct confrontation with them was tantamount to seeking death.

”Do we have to keep running away like this?” Huzi slapped the ground.

At first, it thought it was the King of the Forest and that no creature could defeat it, until it met Bai Xuan and realized there are always people better than you, and there is a sky beyond the sky.

Later, Bai Xuan died at the hands of humans, making it realize its own weakness. Even though it was now huge, like a small mountain, it still had no chance of winning against humans!

This was hard for Huzi to accept, but reality was as it was; even if it didn’t accept it, it had to.

”I know you are very unhappy right now, but the big picture is important. Aren’t we still going to avenge Little White? If we die now, what will we use to avenge Little White, and who will avenge us?”

Little Black tried to persuade it earnestly.

”I understand, let’s go.” Huzi finally abandoned the idea of a direct confrontation with humans and strode away from the mountaintop.

It could no longer stay in the central zone and had to flee to the outer regions.

Little Black and Huzi were both very unwilling, but there was no other way. Who told them to be weak?

After fleeing to the outer regions, they might still be hunted down. Where should they go?

Little Black flew in the air, guiding Huzi in the direction of their escape.

Little Black was among the first batch of mutated creatures, so its level had naturally improved significantly, reaching Tier 1 Stage 1.

”Not good, they want to run away, chase them!” Cheng Kun said, looking at the positioning and surveillance view.

”Understood.” The captain slammed on the gas, the off-road vehicle accelerated, and it sped towards Huzi’s direction.

”Crow, Siberian Tiger, strange bird; it seems the relationship between the three of them is different.” The man next to Cheng Kun, named Yun Ming, possessed a level of Tier 0 Stage 8.

”The crow and that strange bird have known each other for a long time; they even made it to the hot search before. I don’t know how the three of them came together.”

”Logically speaking, it is impossible for the crow, the Siberian Tiger, and the strange bird to live in peace. However, with the existence of Aura, their intelligence has increased, and it is understandable that they became partners due to shared goals.”

”After the Aura Tide, mutated creatures are becoming stronger and stronger. I wonder how strong that strange bird has become.”

After investigation by experts, it was determined that the strange bird was the previous Goshawk, but after advancing to Tier 1, its bloodline changed, and its appearance altered.

This kind of creature must not be left alive!

Even if they have to dig three feet into the ground, they must find it; they want to see it alive or see its corpse!

During this time, they invested a lot of energy, money, and manpower, all to find Bai Xuan, either to capture it alive or kill it; even if it were dead, they wanted the corpse brought back for research.

As for the Siberian Tiger and some other Tier 1 mutated creatures, they were not that concerned; they could just be killed by martial artists for practice.

The off-road vehicle was obviously modified and faster, and during the Siberian Tiger’s escape, it was obstructed by drones equipped with rifles.

Soon the off-road vehicle caught up to the Siberian Tiger. Yun Ming shouldered a rocket launcher and fired a shot at Huzi; the rocket flew towards Huzi.

With a loud bang, smoke filled the air, and gravel flew everywhere.

In the moment of crisis, fortunately, there was Little Black’s warning. Huzi leaped and escaped behind a huge rock; the rocket hit the rock, blasting a large hole.

”Chase quickly, don’t let it run away!” Cheng Kun shouted.

The captain gave a bitter smile, pressed the accelerator to the floor, drifted past the rock, and pursued the Siberian Tiger relentlessly.

In front of Huzi, there were also drone attacks. Rat-tat-tat, bullets emerged one after another; large-capacity magazines, combined with the firepower coverage of seven or eight drones.

Huzi couldn’t dodge even if it wanted to, and couldn’t hit anything.

Little Black did not abandon Huzi because of this, but instead attacked the drones. Destroying one was better than none; that was all it could do now.

Huzi was finally completely enraged and let out a deafening roar: ”ROAR!”

The tiger’s roar shook the mountains and forests, full of deterrent power.

Usually, it would have scared away a large number of birds and beasts.

But now those birds and beasts had long been scared away by such a big commotion, and the humans were not afraid of the Siberian Tiger at all. With guns and cannons in hand, what was there to fear?

All fear comes from insufficient firepower.

The two off-road vehicles braked, and everyone held their weapons and fired wildly at Huzi. Rockets emitting white smoke flew out.

Bang, rumble, several large trees crashed to the ground.

Huzi barely dodged two rockets, but its body was already covered in wounds. The pain swept through its whole body. This was the most serious injury it had ever suffered since birth, and it might even cost it its life!

Little Black’s situation was no better; it was beaten until it couldn’t find north, fled behind a rock to avoid bullets, and was covered in wounds and dripping with blood.

Facing thermal weapons, they felt exceptionally powerless.
