Starting As a Young Eagle, I Evolve Into an Ice Beast

25: Chapter 25: Mission Accomplished!Just as Bai Xuan was about to leave and head elsewhere.

He saw a forklift on the ground pushing a large cargo container into the cargo bed of a military transport vehicle, and a Soldier closed and locked the transport vehicle’s doors.

”There must be absolutely no mistakes during this transport, do you understand?”

The officer stood with his hands behind his back and shouted to the group of Soldiers.

”Received, guarantee the mission is accomplished!” The Soldiers stood in line, saluted, their expressions serious, and their tone resolute!

”Move out!” The officer gave the order.

The Soldiers boarded the vehicles one after another and started them up.

The transport vehicle’s engine hummed as it began to leave the base.

At the same time, several off-road vehicles and two armored vehicles followed closely behind as an escort to ensure nothing went wrong.

The scale was so large that even if hundreds or thousands of mutated creatures came at once, it would be difficult to intercept the transport vehicle.

Bai Xuan could clearly sense that the transport vehicle was carrying mid-grade spirit stones and some Low-Grade Spirit Stones, which were priceless. This stirred Bai Xuan’s greed; he wanted to claim them for himself, devour them entirely, and increase his cultivation.

Bai Xuan followed closely behind, preparing to make his move only after the transport vehicle had traveled far away from the base.

After a while, the transport vehicle and the convoy had left the military base by ten kilometers.

Along the way, many mutated creatures were attracted; their sense of smell was extremely keen, and even though the items were sealed inside the transport vehicle, they could smell them, their eyes burning with desire.

But before they could even get close, they were shot into beehives by bullets.

”It’s time to make a move.” Bai Xuan dove down at high speed, his body growing larger.

By the time the Soldiers’ radar detected a creature approaching, it was already too late.

Bai Xuan’s Sharp Talons pierced the thick steel plate on the top of the transport vehicle. He tried to tear it open, but it was very hard and couldn’t be ripped apart quickly, so he could only struggle to flip it over.

The massive transport vehicle was overturned, its four wheels spinning in place, unable to move.

When the Soldiers saw such a behemoth, they were startled. After regaining their composure, they hurriedly pulled out their weapons, and a dozen rockets were fired one after another at Bai Xuan.

Bai Xuan flapped his wings and flew into the air, dodging several rockets. Loud bangs followed. The transport vehicle was incredibly hard; the surface of the container was only blasted with a few dented holes and blackened, but it hadn’t suffered any real damage.

”Fire!” The captain gave the order.

The heavy machine guns on the two armored vehicles fired wildly at Bai Xuan, tat-tat-tat!

The other Soldiers also picked up rifles and fired rockets at Bai Xuan in the air. At the rear of the vehicles, there were Soldiers mounting heavy sniper rifles, attempting to aim at Bai Xuan and blow his head off with one shot.

The bullets were too dense, so Bai Xuan had to fly into the surrounding dense forest to dodge the rain of bullets. The rifle bullets couldn’t cause him any harm, however.

However, those two heavy machine guns and the sniper rifles made Bai Xuan feel three parts wary, and he dared not take them head-on.

”It seems I have to kill you all... to get the spirit stones.” Bai Xuan had originally intended to take the spirit stones and leave quickly, because if he dragged it out too long, reinforcements would arrive and that would be troublesome.

Bai Xuan shrank his body, allowing him to better conceal himself and avoid being discovered.

”It got smaller?!” The captain watched the situation on the radar and thermal imaging, his pupils shaking.

This mutated creature was definitely not simple!

”Stay alert, suppress with firepower!”

The Soldiers fired wildly at their surroundings; bullets were flying endlessly as if they were free.

At the same time, they were extremely shocked in their hearts; what kind of creature was this!

To actually possess such destructive power, defensive capabilities, and speed!

The captain picked up the walkie-talkie and requested reinforcements from the base.

”What happened?” The officer’s voice came from the other side of the walkie-talkie.

”Unexpected incident! Unexpected incident! A giant raptor has appeared! Its wingspan is at least a dozen meters, and it can shrink its body! The transport vehicle has been overturned! We cannot move forward, requesting support, requesting support!”

The captain quickly summarized the situation to the officer, his tone urgent.

”Okay, hold on, reinforcements will arrive soon.” The officer finished speaking and hung up the walkie-talkie.

In fact, the base had already known about it the moment the incident occurred.

But because the officer was busy with other things, he didn’t know the situation immediately.

Reinforcements should be arriving soon.

”Brothers, hold on, reinforcements will be here soon!” The captain looked around vigilantly.

Suddenly, Bai Xuan killed his way out from the nearby forest. He was the size of a normal Goshawk, immediately killing two people, and then pounced on the captain, his Eagle Claw radiating a cold light.

The captain fired a barrage at Bai Xuan with his rifle, but the bullets hitting his body were like scratching an itch, causing not a single bit of damage.

With a swoosh, Bai Xuan flew past the captain, separating his head from his body, killing him instantly.

”Captain! You beast! I’m going to kill you!” The other team members saw this scene and turned their grief and anger into strength, shouldering rocket launchers and firing rockets at Bai Xuan.

After dodging, Bai Xuan arrived at the armored vehicle and cut the Soldiers along with the heavy machine gun into several pieces.

”Bang!” A bullet was fired from a sniper rifle.

It was extremely fast and powerful, hitting Bai Xuan’s wing with one shot.

Fortunately, Bai Xuan reacted fast enough, otherwise it would have been troublesome if he had been hit in the head.

Bai Xuan’s cold eyes locked onto the sniper, and he killed his way toward him.

Taking a heavy sniper bullet head-on with his wing was naturally very painful, but even if it hurt, he had to take them out first!

”Get down!” someone from the other armored vehicle shouted.

The heavy machine gun aimed at Bai Xuan and fired wildly, with a speed of fifteen bullets per second, enough to turn an elephant into a beehive.

Because there were too many people earlier, and Bai Xuan’s position was quite special, the heavy machine gun couldn’t unleash its full power.

Bai Xuan was hit by several bullets; feathers fell, and blood splattered everywhere.

However, it wasn’t fatal, and Bai Xuan instantly took care of the sniper.

Then he flew back into the forest, waiting for the next opportunity to attack.

”Rifles can’t cause him any damage at all!”

”The sniper rifle and heavy machine gun are damaged, and the rocket launchers are out of ammo, what should we do now?”

”We must not retreat. Even if we die, we must protect the transport vehicle! This is the order given to us by our superiors!”

”Yes! Fight to the death!” ”Fight to the death!”

...

Bai Xuan saw this scene and, after a moment of silence.

He attacked again, appearing from the side of the armored vehicle, his body growing larger, and he directly destroyed the entire armored vehicle beyond recognition, causing it to lose power, and the person driving inside was already dead.

”Fire at him with everything you’ve got!” The remaining Soldiers fired wildly at Bai Xuan without stopping. Their speed in changing magazines, along with their courage and perseverance, made one feel admiration.

The gun barrels were burning red and smoking, and Bai Xuan flew in front of them, taking them out one after another.

Now only a mess remained at the scene, and Bai Xuan flew to the back of the transport vehicle.

His Sharp Talons gripped the bulletproof door, and he struggled to pry it open by force.

Gradually, the entire security door was pried open by Bai Xuan, and what came into view was a large box containing the spirit stones... Bai Xuan exerted force again.

This time it was much easier; the box opened, revealing the spirit stones inside.

Bai Xuan swallowed them all into his stomach, flapped his wings, and left.

With these spirit stones, he would definitely be able to advance to the second rank!
