Starting As a Young Eagle, I Evolve Into an Ice Beast

1: Chapter 1 The Third Brother of the Eagle’s Nest, Hanging by a Thread?”Foster father, leave your brain here ~”

{Fictional world, parallel world, important things said three times. Any resemblance is purely coincidental, purely coincidental, purely coincidental.}

Within the borders of the Dragon Country, a primeval forest.

Towering trees, lush and verdant. Looking down from the sky, it resembled a vast, boundless, and continuous green ocean.

The ground was teeming with lush grass and vitality, a sight of incomparable beauty.

A bird’s nest was built on one of the large trees.

Inside the nest were three fledgling eagles. The smallest one was squatting in the corner, its eyes revealing exhaustion:

”It’s one thing to turn into an eagle, but to be the weakest one at that.”

The fledgling was named Bai Xuan. He had died accidentally in his previous life and was reborn as a fledgling with his memories intact.

His current situation was extremely difficult and stifling.

Bai Xuan was the last of the three fledglings to hatch.

Because of this, Bai Xuan was much thinner and smaller than the other two fledglings.

When the mother and father Goshawk brought back food, Bai Xuan basically couldn’t snatch any, and even if he did, it was just small scraps of meat.

It was simply not enough to fill his stomach. Not only that, but he would also suffer attacks and bullying from the other two fledglings; his feathers were almost pecked bald.

Survival of the fittest; there was no fairness to speak of.

The mother and father Goshawk not only didn’t give Bai Xuan food, but instead deliberately scared the three fledglings to stimulate their fighting instincts, ensuring they could survive better in the future.

Just like that, Bai Xuan was both hungry and being beaten by the other two fledglings.

It was incredibly stifling.

Suddenly, the other two fledglings started pecking at each other. Compared to them, Bai Xuan’s size was not even one-third of theirs.

They had already started growing feathers.

While Bai Xuan still had white downy feathers, and several patches were bald.

”It’s starting again.” Bai Xuan was already used to this, stepping back a few paces to make room for them to fight.

Fledglings would fight to compete for more food, proving to their parents who was the strongest so they could get more food.

And the losing side wouldn’t dare to snatch food during the next feeding.

”Damn it, don’t come over here.” Seeing them fight towards his side, Bai Xuan hurriedly got up and ran to the other side.

Bai Xuan didn’t want to get involved; getting involved only meant getting beaten.

But obviously, Bai Xuan’s movements were not as fast as theirs, and he was pulled directly into the fray.

The two fledglings seemed to have reached a consensus, raining blows on Bai Xuan. Their beaks were already showing their sharp edge, hard and pointed.

They even wanted to eat Bai Xuan.

They were now able to tear flesh with their beaks, and the damage caused was obvious.

Bai Xuan struggled desperately, wanting to escape.

Bai Xuan didn’t want to die again.

As long as he could live, he could definitely take revenge in the future.

Gradually, Bai Xuan was pushed to the edge of the nest, his body covered in blood and on the verge of death.

He no longer had any ability to resist.

The two fledglings did not let Bai Xuan go because of this, nor did they show any familial affection.

In the end, they accidentally pushed Bai Xuan off the nest. They had originally wanted to eat Bai Xuan, but because they were too forceful, the duck to their mouth flew away.

They let out cries of fledgling eagles, venting the anger in their hearts.

Immediately after, the two fledglings started fighting again.

...

At this moment, Bai Xuan fell to the ground, the dense grass covering his weak body.

”It really is cruel.” Bai Xuan couldn’t help but sigh.

Although he was unwilling, there was nothing he could do about it.

Bai Xuan lay on the ground, on the verge of death, waiting for the arrival of death.

Anyway, he had died once before, so what did it matter if he died again.

Meanwhile, a crow flew in front of Bai Xuan, tilting its head, its pitch-black eyes staring fixedly at Bai Xuan, with a large green caterpillar in its beak.

Bai Xuan locked eyes with the crow, ultimately choosing to face death calmly.

Being eaten by a crow was better than benefiting those two bullying fledglings.

The crow did not harm Bai Xuan, but instead placed the large green caterpillar in front of him.

Bai Xuan’s eyes revealed confusion and shock: ”Did I meet a good crow?”

Seeing Bai Xuan motionless, the crow used its beak to push the large green caterpillar to Bai Xuan’s beak.

”Thank you, you really are a good person, no, a good crow. When I become stronger, I will definitely protect you.” Bai Xuan was moved to the point of almost crying; there is still true affection in the world.

He had been a fledgling for half a month, and this was the first time he had encountered an animal that helped him.

Bai Xuan opened his mouth and began to eat the large green caterpillar.

He could finally have a full meal.

Although he didn’t know why this crow wanted to help him, Bai Xuan was grateful to the crow from the bottom of his heart.

Even if he were eventually eaten by the crow, he would have no regrets; at least he would die with a full stomach... which was better than being a starving ghost.

Suddenly, a mechanical and cold voice echoed in Bai Xuan’s mind:

[Consumed the flesh of the large green caterpillar, gained 0.01 evolution points.]

[Consumed the flesh of the large green caterpillar, gained 0.01 evolution points.]

Every bite Bai Xuan took was accompanied by a notification sound.

Bai Xuan was slightly stunned: ”Did I awaken a system?”

Following that, Bai Xuan tried a few more times and gained evolution points each time.

Hahaha, Heaven hasn’t forsaken me!

Seeing Bai Xuan start eating the large green caterpillar, the crow nodded in a human-like manner, then turned and flew away.

”Brother Crow, thank you. When I have the ability, I will definitely repay this life-saving grace.”

Bai Xuan had made up his mind; as long as he could survive and grow up, he would definitely repay the crow a hundredfold, a thousandfold.

Just like that, Bai Xuan frantically ate the large green caterpillar, eventually consuming the entire thing.

In total, he gained 0.1 evolution points.

A system panel appeared out of thin air, visible only to Bai Xuan.

It was a light blue transparent screen, presenting Bai Xuan’s information.

[Race]: Common Goshawk.

[Level]: None.

[Skills]: Peck [Low Level], Sharp Talons [Low Level].

[Evolution]: {5.1/10}

[Newbie Gift: 5 points.]

[System Skill]: Eye of Appraisal, {Able to view the race and level of biological entities, limited to entities no more than one tier higher than oneself.}

Bai Xuan looked at the system panel in front of him; he was truly a weakling.

[Do you wish to consume 1 evolution point to heal your injuries?]

The system’s mechanical and cold voice sounded again.

”Use it.” Bai Xuan’s injuries were severe; he didn’t even have the strength to stand up.

Being able to eat the large green caterpillar was already difficult enough.

Now he had to recover quickly and then find a place to hide.

[Deducting 1 evolution point, starting to heal injuries.]

Two and a half minutes later, Bai Xuan was fully recovered. He stood up and ran towards the foot of the tree.

He eventually hid in a grass hole covered with green grass, located at the foot of the tree, hidden very well.

In Bai Xuan’s current state, he could only hunt small insects; encountering a mouse the size of a palm would be a life-and-death struggle.

Furthermore, he was in an unfamiliar place, so being cautious was always good.

After all, while in the bird’s nest, he didn’t dare to look down at all.

He was afraid of being pushed down by those two siblings; they would be happy to see one less competitor.

Meanwhile, the crow flew back to this spot, holding a large green caterpillar in its beak, looking left and right, as if searching for something.

Bai Xuan discovered the crow’s arrival from the grass nest and took a closer look.

The system panel in front of him displayed the crow’s information:

[Race]: Mutated Crow.

[Level]: First Tier, First Stage.

”So it was a mutated crow; no wonder it was so smart.”
