Starting As a Young Eagle, I Evolve Into an Ice Beast

27: Chapter 27 Talking with Da Huang, Xiao Ya and her mother”Stop talking, stop talking, I believe you.”

When Dahuang recalled that incident, he felt very embarrassed.

That time he really suffered a loss because he was outnumbered; no matter how brave he was, he couldn’t fight off so many opponents alone, so it was only natural that he got beaten up.

If Brother Bai hadn’t passed by that time, Dahuang would have been beaten to death by the mob and lost his life.

After Dahuang believed that the blue hawk in front of him was Brother Bai, tears welled up in his eyes:

”Brother Bai, I missed you so much. It’s so good that you’re alive; I thought I’d never see you again, wuwuwu.”

”You’re still the same as ever.”

Dahuang lunged forward, wanting to lick and rub against Brother Bai.

But he was stopped by Brother Bai with his wings:

”Sorry for making you all worry.”

”By the way, Brother Bai, how did you become like this? Did King Yama feel that your time hadn’t come yet and let you be reborn as a hawk to reunite with us?”

”You could understand it that way,” Bai Xuan nodded gently.

However, Bai Xuan hadn’t actually met King Yama; he had just woken up as a fledgling hawk. Bai Xuan himself couldn’t figure it out, let alone answer Dahuang’s question.

”I knew Brother Bai was no ordinary person. As expected of my master, you are truly capable and extraordinary!”

Dahuang had quite a large vocabulary. After leveling up and his intelligence improved, he spoke very fluently, with one set of phrases after another.

However, humans couldn’t understand Dahuang’s words, and neither could other creatures.

His own kind could understand him and communicate without barriers, while Bai Xuan was only able to converse with Dahuang by using his biological communication ability.

”How come I didn’t notice before that you... were so good at buttering people up.”

”Hehehe, I learned it all from you, Brother Bai,” Dahuang chuckled.

He had naturally learned it through osmosis, as Dahuang could understand human speech.

He could also mimic some human language, but it was very awkward, and whether it could be understood was another matter.

Suddenly, Dahuang’s stomach growled. Dahuang sat on the ground, rubbed his belly, and smiled awkwardly: ”Brother Bai, why don’t you go get me something to eat?”

”After you evolved, has your appetite been getting bigger and bigger?”

”Yes, I eat a lot but excrete little, I grow fast, and my size is increasing day by day, which has scared Sister Ya and Mom.”

Dahuang nodded gently. At that time, he didn’t know what was going on; his stomach was just extremely hungry, and he desperately wanted to eat. If a cow passed by him, he would be so hungry he’d lose his mind and pounce on it to gnaw away.

But no matter how hungry he was, he would never harm humans. He would only look for food, rummage through trash cans, or eat other creatures.

Or ask Sister Ya and Mom to prepare more leftovers or dog food for him to eat.

With his stomach growling from hunger, Sister Ya and Mom could naturally tell, and they were amazed, giving him much more food.

Later, several soldiers came, pointing guns at Dahuang. At that time, it really gave Sister Ya, Mom, and Dahuang a big fright.

After Dahuang went through a series of tests, he was finally considered safe.

The state would also regularly provide food for Dahuang, mostly the flesh and blood of mutated creatures, along with a small amount of nutritional supplements and dog food, striving to keep Dahuang well-fed so he wouldn’t be driven to harm people out of hunger, while also reducing the burden on his owners.

Such a loyal dog would be a pity to kill, and there are many benefits to raising him.

Perhaps in the future, they could even cultivate an army of dogs, or other mutated creatures friendly to humans.

”I see. So, are you able to move around freely?”

Bai Xuan actually already had the answer to this question in his heart, but he still asked to be clear, so as to avoid any mistakes.

After all, such a large animal, and a canine at that, even if it didn’t eat people, scaring people would be bad and easily cause panic.

”No, but the state provides food for me to eat regularly, and it’s quite delicious. It’s just that my appetite is getting bigger and bigger, and that food is sometimes not enough for me. But fortunately, the application has been successful, and the food will increase later.”

Dahuang shook his head gently. He was still quite satisfied with his current state and understood it; after all, he was already a mutated creature. Once the testing period was over, he would be able to move around freely.

He wouldn’t run around recklessly either. Now that there were more and more mutated creatures, he had to protect his family.

”Is that so? By the way, I’ve prepared something good for you.”

Bai Xuan seemed to have thought of something. After speaking, he spat out two palm-sized Low-Grade Spirit Stones from his mouth. He had quite a few spirit stones left from his last evolution and intended to give them to Dahuang, Xiao Hei, and Huzi.

With Dahuang’s level increased, he could better protect Mom and Little Ya, so Bai Xuan could also go to other places to improve his own level and strength with peace of mind.

As for Xiao Hei and Huzi, they would likely become his major capable assistants in the future, and training them would be very helpful.

”What is this?” Dahuang couldn’t help but drool. These two Low-Grade Spirit Stones were even more tempting than that flesh and blood, but he didn’t eat them immediately.

He needed to get Brother Bai’s permission before he could eat, just like before; nothing had changed.

”Spirit stones, they are very helpful to you. By the way, don’t mention the spirit stones to anyone, lest you attract unwanted attention.”

Bai Xuan instructed.

”Understood, I will listen to Brother Bai,” Dahuang nodded seriously.

”Eat,” Bai Xuan was amused by Dahuang’s impatient, drooling appearance. He chuckled ”puchi” and then let Dahuang eat the Low-Grade Spirit Stones.

”Thank you, Brother Bai. Brother Bai is so good to me.” After thanking him, Dahuang swallowed the two Low-Grade Spirit Stones directly into his stomach.

Suddenly, footsteps came from the stairs, accompanied by a sweet female voice:

”Dahuang, what are you barking at? And what’s going on with the camera on your neck? They called me to ask about the situation. Did you break it because you were playing around?”

Dahuang barked twice: ”I don’t know, I didn’t break it.”

Dahuang hadn’t even noticed that the collar on his neck was damaged, but it was also because Bai Xuan’s speed was too fast; he had flashed by, and the camera and earpiece were destroyed.

”I broke it,” Bai Xuan smiled awkwardly.

”Brother Bai, you really... this collar is very important, you can’t break it, it’s easy to cause problems,” Dahuang complained.

Dahuang had seen the lethality of this collar; those mutated creatures in the training camp would be killed by the collar if they harmed humans.

If it caused a misunderstanding with the military, Dahuang’s life would be in danger.

To put it plainly, Dahuang’s life and death were currently in the hands of the military.

”Well, I can’t be discovered, you understand, but also rest assured, I only act when I’m sure of it, and I will never let you die because of this.”

Bai Xuan explained.

”Then Brother Bai, what are your plans next?” Dahuang had already forgotten that Little Ya was calling him and continued to converse with Bai Xuan.

”I won’t stay long, it’s very unsafe. Also, please protect Mom and Little Ya well. When the time is ripe in the future, we’ll talk.”

Bai Xuan bowed to ask Dahuang for the favor. In Bai Xuan’s heart, Dahuang was family and worthy of trust.

He would never treat Dahuang badly.
