Starting As a Young Eagle, I Evolve Into an Ice Beast

39: Chapter 39 The Second Spiritual Energy Tide Erupts.Bai Xuan flew back to Mother Tiger and Hu Da.

Hu Da informed Mother Tiger of the sequence of events, trying his best to explain that Bai Xuan was not a bad guy.

Ultimately, Mother Tiger believed Hu Da’s words, though she still maintained her vigilance toward Bai Xuan.

On the surface, however, she was gentle and expressed her gratitude:

”Thank you for saving my eldest son.”

”You’re welcome. By the way, you can just call me Xiao Bai.”

Standing on a large rock, Bai Xuan gave his wings a wave.

Mother Tiger nodded gently. ”Alright, then Xiao Bai, when do we leave?”

”We can leave right now.”

The sooner the better, naturally; Bai Xuan wanted to see the situation in the Far East with his own eyes.

The northern part of the Far East was very close to the Arctic and was incredibly cold. In some places, there were only three months in the entire year that weren’t covered in snow and ice. Such a harsh environment was unsuitable for human habitation, so it was normal for it to be sparsely populated; one could potentially wander for a whole day without encountering a single person.

Bai Xuan wasn’t sure if there would be many Mutated Creatures. Logically, the colder it was, the fewer creatures there would be, but today was different from the past. With the physical enhancement of Mutated Creatures, there should be some capable of adapting to this.

Bai Xuan was one of them; his Ice Attribute allowed him to stay in cold places. There were also warmer areas in the Far East with dense forests, so there would surely be places suitable for the tigers to survive; there was no need to worry.

And so, Bai Xuan led Mother Tiger and Hu Da north toward the Far East. Before long, they crossed the border.

Just as Bai Xuan was thinking about continuing to lead Mother Tiger and Hu Da forward...

Suddenly, several explosions echoed through the clouds. Bai Xuan snapped his head back toward the Daxing Mountain Range, feeling a very familiar sensation:

”The second Aura Tide has erupted!”

He hadn’t expected the second Aura Tide to break out at this time.

Moreover, this Aura Tide was dozens of times larger than the last one...

There were also sites of the Aura Tide in the Far East, but they were nowhere near as rich or massive as those in the Daxing Mountain Range!

”It’s starting again.” Seeing this scene, Mother Tiger’s eyes revealed a sense of longing.

The attraction of an Aura Tide of this level was immense for them.

But it was accompanied by extreme danger! Even if humans didn’t intervene...

They still wouldn’t be able to outcompete those other Mutated Creatures.

Hu Da was at Rank One, Level Seven; Mother Tiger was at Rank One, Level Eight.

”Brother Bai, what should we do now?” Hu Da really wanted to go and snatch some resources, but before that, he needed to seek Bai Xuan’s opinion.

”There’s a place over there where the Aura Tide is relatively small. Go see if you can seize it, but act according to your ability—preserving your lives is what’s most important. I’m going to the mountain range. Once I’m done, we’ll regroup here.”

After a moment of contemplation, Bai Xuan ultimately chose to head to the Daxing Mountain Range alone. The Aura Tide there was much more massive; perhaps after this tide, he would be able to leap to Rank Three.

”Alright, then Brother Bai, please be careful.”

Hu Da was aware of his own strength. Coupled with his injuries, he couldn’t exert his peak power and had to act within his limits. The nearby Aura Tide was very suitable for him and his mother.

”Xiao Bai, if you can’t win it, just run. Staying alive is the most important thing,” Mother Tiger advised kindly after a moment of silence.

”I will. Don’t worry,”

Bai Xuan nodded slightly. With that, he flapped his wings and flew toward the Daxing Mountain Range.

Bai Xuan was now at Rank Two, Level Seven. Ordinary weapons could no longer harm him. It was precisely because of this that he dared to compete with humans for resources.

”No time to lose, let’s move as well.”

”Okay, Mother.”

Both Mother Tiger and Hu Da wanted to become stronger.

The current situation was even more cruel than the animal kingdom of old.

It was the law of the jungle, survival of the fittest. The Siberian Tiger was no longer the king of the forest, facing numerous threats and challenges. If they didn’t fight for resources, they would inevitably be eliminated.

They might even become a meal for those powerful Mutated Creatures.

...

Meanwhile...

Dark clouds covered the sky, and lightning flashed amidst the roll of thunder.

Then came a torrential downpour and gale-force winds.

Pairs of crimson eyes lit up in the forest, densely packed together.

Bolts of lightning cut across the sky, illuminating the pitch-black forest to reveal a dense mass of Mutated Creatures. They were jostling one another, heading toward the sites of the Aura Tide in a grand, surging wave.

This time, a total of ten Aura Tides were born in the Daxing Mountain Range. Massive energy erupted from the earth and shot into the clouds, attracting all surrounding creatures.

There were also some mutated plants that had developed sentience. Their roots burst from the soil, allowing them to move freely as they all headed toward the nearest Aura Tide.

Among them were Mutated Tree Spirits. They weren’t overly large, reaching a maximum height of only eight meters, but their roots were strong and dense. After breaking out of the ground, they ran with an extremely strange motion, accompanied by the sound of the earth splitting and mountains shaking.

...

Bai Xuan flew through the forest; flying high made it easy to be struck by lightning.

He covered his entire body with aura so the rain couldn’t soak his feathers.

Wherever he went, the temperature dropped sharply, and cold mist drifted about.

But this did not affect those Mutated Creatures. At this moment, they had entered a berserk state, losing their rationality. Their minds held nothing but the desire to seize those aura resources, even if it cost them their lives!

”Truly insane.” Bai Xuan had not lost his reason.

However, that aura held a massive attraction for him as well. The closer he got, the stronger the pull became, making him want to claim it all for himself.

”Aura! Aura! I want to absorb the aura!”

Their eyes were crimson and their behavior was manic, as if they were on drugs, as they roared continuously.

Along the way, many Mutated Creatures were trampled to death.

There were also weak Mutated Creatures killed by the strong ones who pushed straight through. The weaker creatures were sent flying everywhere, some heavily injured, others dying on the spot.

During this time, some flying Mutated Creatures also went mad and overconfidently attacked Bai Xuan, but they were all killed by him one by one without any effort.

...

On the other side, human armored vehicles, tanks, helicopters, fighter jets, and transport trucks were deployed at top speed. They crushed any Mutated Creatures blocking their path or used machine guns to clear the way like a meat grinder, leaving the fields strewn with corpses and rivers of blood.

”The second Aura Tide is already like this; won’t it be even more severe in the future?”

”Right now, there are countless Aura Tides appearing simultaneously across the country. Our troops and firepower are limited...”

”At the necessary moment, we can use missile strikes. We absolutely cannot let these Mutated Creatures continue to grow unchecked, or it will be a devastating blow to our Dragon Country.”

”Understood.”

The officers in the transport vehicle conversed, their expressions solemn. They were there to command the battle while receiving orders from the base superiors to respond in a timely manner.

The Daxing Mountain Range military base was guarded by hundreds of Soldiers to avoid attacks from Mutated Creatures. There were ten Aura Tides in the mountain range, but they didn’t have enough troops to control them all. Because of this, they split into three groups to control the three largest sites of the Aura Tide.
