Starting As a Young Eagle, I Evolve Into an Ice Beast

15: Chapter 15 Spiritual Energy Tide, Mid-Grade Spirit Stones”Absorbing those few spirit stones led to evolution.”

Bai Xuan sat on the ground, eating roasted meat.

”Brother Bai, Brother Bai, you are my good big brother for life; this little brother’s future depends on you.”

”Right, Xiao Bai, the three of us are sworn brothers for life. You must look out for the two of us.”

Huzi and Xiao Hei ran eagerly to Bai Xuan’s side, looking at him with their round eyes as if they had firmly decided Bai Xuan was their good brother.

”Don’t get so close to me,” Bai Xuan said with disgust, pushing away the encroaching Huzi with his wing.

”Brother Bai, you said you’d look out for me, you can’t go back on your word.”

Huzi had now fully recognized Bai Xuan as his big brother, speaking in a pitiful tone.

”I know, I know,” Bai Xuan waved him off, his face full of disdain.

For someone of his massive size to act like this was truly something else; he didn’t look like the King of Beasts at all.

And so, while Bai Xuan and Xiao Hei roasted meat, Huzi didn’t know how to help and could only watch from the side, occasionally reaching out to ask Xiao Hei for some; he didn’t dare ask Bai Xuan for fear of being hit.

...

Two days later.

In the central area, Bai Xuan lay on a large rock, leisurely sunbathing.

During this time, Bai Xuan had raised his level to First Order, Fourth Tier, and decided to take a temporary break.

He wanted to give those mutated creatures some breathing room to level up so that he could continue his hunt later.

Suddenly, a thunderous boom rang out from not far away. The abrupt explosion instantly leveled everything within a hundred-meter radius. The animals caught in the area were blown to bits—a truly gruesome sight.

Bai Xuan snapped upright, opened his eyes, and looked toward the site of the explosion.

”Such a massive amount of aura!”

With that, he spread his wings and headed toward the site of the explosion.

The arrival of the Aura Tide meant that mutated creatures would grow at an even more terrifying speed; the closer one was to the source of the tide, the greater the boost.

Every mutated creature in the mountain range was attracted by this aura, running frantically toward the source with bloodshot eyes and aggressive momentum, forming a grand spectacle.

Bai Xuan had to seize the initiative to absorb the majority of the aura and raise his own level!

Huzi and Xiao Hei followed him. Upon seeing them, Bai Xuan gave a reminder: ”Brother Hei, Huzi, stay safe.”

Bai Xuan didn’t stop them from going; after all, such an opportunity was rare, and once missed, it would be gone.

If a real fight broke out, Bai Xuan might not be able to look after them, so they would have to fend for themselves. Thus, he still hoped they wouldn’t take unnecessary risks; it would be fine to share some with them after the matter was settled.

”Got it. You stay safe too, Brother Bai.”

”Xiao Bai, we can take care of ourselves. Just do what you need to do, don’t worry about us.”

Huzi had now stepped into the Sub-Order, Sixth Tier. Combined with his massive size, few mutated creatures could do anything to him. His talent was obvious; as long as he didn’t die young, he would surely become a regional hegemon in the future.

Xiao Hei’s talent wasn’t low either, reaching Sub-Order, Fourth Tier. Having mutated earlier than many creatures and possessing decent intelligence along with his Flight ability, he was capable of surviving the struggles between mutated creatures.

Bai Xuan nodded slightly and then accelerated.

Before long, he arrived at the source of the Aura Tide.

Some mutated creatures had already arrived first. Most notably, a mutated owl, a mutated wild boar, and a mutated black python had reached the Sub-Order, Sixth Tier after being baptized by the Aura Tide, their sizes growing at a rate visible to the naked eye.

Other mutated creatures saw massive level increases of one to two tiers, while some simply couldn’t withstand the massive aura and exploded.

A large crater had formed after the explosion, with a crack about ten meters long appearing right in the middle. Aura gushed out from the ground in an endless stream.

From time to time, some spirit stones were flushed out along with it.

This was accompanied by conflict; the mutated creatures had greedy eyes and, disregarding their own safety, fought frantically for the spirit stones in a non-stop slaughter.

Bai Xuan joined the fray, ending the black python with a single claw. Its head was severed, and Bai Xuan immediately snatched it up and swallowed it whole.

The system’s voice followed:

[Devoured mutated black python, Sub-Order Sixth Tier, gained 7 evolution pointss.]

Bai Xuan released his killing intent, hoping to intimidate the mutated creatures present.

However, the effect was minimal. They were like madmen, rushing toward the Aura Tide in a frenzy, resulting in countless deaths from the crushing crowd!

Seeing that he couldn’t intimidate them, Bai Xuan took action himself and went on a killing spree. His sharp Eagle Claws were soon drenched in blood. Before long, he had carved out a space atop a pile of corpses. Standing on the bodies, covered in blood with his killing intent intensifying, he let out a deafening eagle cry!

This was accompanied by a sonic attack, which temporarily scared back the mutated creatures that wanted to continue approaching!

They looked at the majestic Bai Xuan before them as if a god of slaughter had descended; his massacre of them was like slicing melons and vegetables, and they had no power to resist.

They finally sobered up a bit, their bodies instinctively trembling.

Just moments ago, they had been blinded by greed, thinking only of getting closer to the Aura Tide to obtain more resources, risking their lives without a second thought.

Meanwhile, Bai Xuan’s killing intent only increased as he surveyed the surroundings. Whether it was the birds in the sky or the insects and reptiles below, none dared to approach.

”Keep backing away, or I’ll kill you all!” Bai Xuan’s eyes were cold.

His majestic voice echoed in the minds of all the mutated creatures present.

Hearing this, they retreated one after another. For those who weren’t afraid to die and still wanted to step forward to compete, Bai Xuan showed no mercy and killed them all!

”Dare to take one more step, and their fate will be yours!”

After seeing them retreat a hundred meters away, Bai Xuan finally walked to the Aura Tide crack.

He scooped up the aura inside and swallowed it into his stomach.

After digging past the surface layer of Low-Grade Spirit Stones, a spirit stone containing massive energy appeared.

The Eye of Appraisal presented the information to Bai Xuan:

[Mid-Grade Spirit Stone, devouring it grants 1000 evolution pointss!]

One thousand evolution pointss! It had increased tenfold!

Bai Xuan used his Eagle Claw to take out the Mid-Grade Spirit Stone and swallowed it.

He would absorb it after returning. For now, he had to deal with the restless mutated creatures before him; more spirit stones might appear later, so he couldn’t leave.

The Aura Tide was also a great supplement; absorbing it into his body could significantly raise his level.

”You can’t monopolize it all, at least leave some for us!”

”Too arrogant! He completely ignores us!”

”Are so many of us fierce beasts actually afraid of one bird? He thinks too highly of himself!”

They watched as Bai Xuan swallowed a large pile of spirit stones, and they shouted out in dissatisfaction.
