Over the past few days, Bai Xuan had been hunting prey.

There were more and more mutant creatures, most being Secondary Stage, First Rank, and a small portion being Secondary Stage, Second Rank.

Meanwhile, Bai Xuan’s level had reached Secondary Stage, Fifth Rank, putting him far ahead of the rest.

His body length was 1.5 meters, his wingspan 3.9 meters, and his beak and Eagle Claw had become harder, taking on a dark red hue. His feathers remained their original color, but their durability had increased significantly.

His vision was clear even beyond 500 meters.

He also added two skills: Sensory Positioning, which could pinpoint an enemy’s location, and Sonic Interference, which could disrupt information and cause deafness in enemies.

The current Bai Xuan was simply a behemoth, far surpassing large raptors, and few creatures were his match.

At the same time, Bai Xuan made a new discovery: the Dragon Kingdom had begun investigating the creatures in the Xiaoxing Mountains, sending experts and scientists to enter, take samples, and capture them for research.

They also deployed many drones. Fortunately, Bai Xuan had the ability to sense them, avoiding the reconnaissance every time and only going out to hunt after they left.

This situation was very unfavorable for Bai Xuan.

He was afraid of being discovered and dying an untimely death.

...

”A wolf pack?” Bai Xuan stood on a tree branch, murmuring to himself.

He saw more than a dozen black wolves devouring the flesh of their prey—two large elk.

Bai Xuan activated Eye of Appraisal to check the status of the black wolves:

”I didn’t expect there to be one at the Secondary Stage, Third Rank.”

The alpha wolf, four meters in length and 1.5 meters at the shoulder, had thick, ink-black fur and a fierce gaze, with a shocking scar on its face. It looked like something not to be trifled with.

It was the only black wolf in the pack at the Secondary Stage, Third Rank.

There were also eight at the Secondary Stage, First Rank, and two at the Secondary Stage, Second Rank in the pack.

The rest were ordinary black wolves; such a scale was enough to run rampant in this area.

Bai Xuan looked at the wolf pack before him, his eyes glowing as if he had seen satisfying prey. And indeed, as long as he killed the pack, he could obtain a large number of Evolution Points.

”Looks like I’m in for a treat today.” Bai Xuan flapped his wings and leaped, flying toward the wolf pack. Catch the leader first to catch the thieves; he would kill the alpha wolf before dealing with the others.

The alpha wolf, busy devouring its meal, sensed something was wrong and instantly became alert: ”Awoo!”

As the alpha wolf let out a howl, the other black wolves became alert instantly.

Observing the surroundings, Bai Xuan had already arrived behind the alpha wolf, his sharp Eagle Claw attacking toward the alpha’s head.

The alpha wolf felt a chill on the back of its head and quickly moved its legs, springing away to dodge. Its eyes reacted faster than its body, looking toward the direction of the attack.

It set its body into a fighting stance, preparing to deal with the sudden danger.

The other black wolves swarmed, leaping to pounce on Bai Xuan.

But Bai Xuan was fast; he flew upward to dodge. The alpha wolf followed closely behind, its jumping power astonishing, opening its bloody maw to pounce on Bai Xuan.

”I was waiting for you.” This time, Bai Xuan didn’t dodge; instead, he flew to meet the attack, his sharp Eagle Claw combined with his agile body and Flight control.

The Eagle Claw pierced into the alpha wolf’s eyes; in an instant, blood splattered everywhere.

Relying on his terrifying strength, Bai Xuan threw the alpha wolf away.

It crashed into several large trees before stopping. Seeing this, the pack was shocked.

Dumbfounded, their faces filled with disbelief.

Bai Xuan pressed his advantage, like an arrow shot through the air, killing toward the alpha wolf.

The alpha wolf’s eyes were ruined, and it couldn’t see anything. Accompanied by intense pain sweeping through its body, its head felt like it was about to explode.

The alpha wolf forced itself to calm down; vision was gone, but it still had hearing and smell!

But how could its hearing and smell be faster than Bai Xuan’s speed? Bai Xuan grabbed the alpha wolf’s neck with his Eagle Claw, and his beak pecked fiercely at its crown!

After a series of actions, the alpha wolf let out a painful howl!

Bai Xuan ripped open the alpha wolf’s crown, and immediately after, its neck was snapped! Finally, the alpha wolf collapsed, dead as could be.

Bai Xuan looked up and let out a sharp cry, a sonic attack that directly shattered the eardrums of the wolf pack, causing them to lose their hearing.

Seeing their arrogant alpha wolf killed so easily, their eyes filled with fear, and they tucked their tails and shivered.

”The alpha is dead, run!” One stone stirred up a thousand waves.

The other black wolves fled in panic: ”What on earth is this thing? It’s too powerful; we are no match for it at all!”

Bai Xuan pressed his advantage, his speed far exceeding the black wolves. He first insta-killed the two Secondary Stage, Second Rank black wolves, followed by those at the First Rank; it was a massacre.

These black wolves had no ability to resist in Bai Xuan’s hands.

Although some beasts could rely on their massive size to defeat smaller animals with higher levels, as levels increased, this size gap would become smaller and smaller, and size could not fully prove strength.

Moreover, Bai Xuan’s level was two ranks higher than the alpha wolf’s, so killing it easily was only natural.

Gradually, Bai Xuan killed all the black wolves.

A corpse every ten steps, drenched in blood, with some wolves headless, others with severed limbs, and some with several holes in their heads; their deaths were tragic.

Bai Xuan threw all the black wolves together and began to feast.

[Consumed Mutant Black Wolf, Secondary Stage, Second Rank, gained 3 Evolution Points.]

[Consumed Mutant Black Wolf, Secondary Stage, Third Rank, gained 4 Evolution Points.]

A total of 93 Evolution Points were gained. After evolving, Bai Xuan had gained Super Digestion, capable of consuming large amounts of flesh and digesting it at a rate visible to the naked eye.

He consumed while digesting; he couldn’t eat as fast as his digestion speed.

Except for the flesh he saved for Xiao Hei.

Bai Xuan ate the wolf pack corpses until only bones and internal organs remained. The place where the excrement was stored smelled too strong, and since Bai Xuan had plenty of food now, he didn’t eat it.

As the level got higher and higher, the required Evolution Points became higher; rising to the Fifth Rank required 60 Evolution Points.

Those at the Secondary Stage, First Rank, or creatures without levels, could no longer satisfy Bai Xuan.

However, there were more and more creatures with levels; he believed that before long, they would be visible everywhere.

By then, improvement would be even faster.

And Bai Xuan only needed to maintain his leading position.

At the same time, Bai Xuan found a crystal inside the alpha wolf’s stomach, glowing with a pale blue light. Seeing the alpha wolf’s stomach glowing, Bai Xuan endured the nausea and took the crystal out.
