Bai Xuan’s evolution was successful, and his level reached Grade 2 Rank 6.

After devouring the old turtle’s resources, Bai Xuan gained 13,000 evolution points.

After devouring the Water Spirit Flower and spirit stones, Bai Xuan’s level increased to Grade 2 Rank 5, and then he spent 7,000 evolution points to increase by one more rank, reaching Grade 2 Rank 6.

Rising three ranks in a row, his strength had seen a massive boost.

His size reached eight meters in length with a wingspan of twenty-two meters.

Bai Xuan shrunk his body and flew out of the cave, heading toward the Daxing Mountain Range.

The sky was blue with white clouds, and it was clear for ten thousand miles.

Bai Xuan soared at an altitude of a thousand meters at a moderate pace.

Along the way, Bai Xuan flew and stopped intermittently; whenever he saw a place with many mutated creatures, he would descend for a slaughter, leaving only after he had devoured his fill.

...

Ten days later, Bai Xuan returned to the Daxing Mountain Range, having increased his level by another rank.

He reached Grade 2 Rank 7, though his size remained unchanged.

Bai Xuan released his divine sense and began searching for the Siberian Tiger in the mountain range.

He was specifically looking for Hu Zi’s mother and big brother.

The mutated creatures in the mountain range had also improved significantly during this time.

Sub-tiers and Grade 1s were becoming more and more numerous, and mutated creatures were running rampant.

Likely because the aura in the mountains was quite sufficient, some were already approaching Grade 2.

”I wonder when the next Aura Tide will begin?”

Bai Xuan muttered to himself.

After a while, Bai Xuan found a Siberian Tiger that matched Hu Zi’s description.

It was an eight-meter-long Siberian Tiger, covered in scars and dripping with blood.

There was a shocking scar on its face, adding a touch of ferocity to its appearance.

The Siberian Tiger was sprinting through the forest when a figure suddenly appeared before it, landing on a large rock. The Siberian Tiger could clearly feel the terrifying aura emanating from the other party and couldn’t help but stop, looking at Bai Xuan warily.

”Are you Hu Da?” Bai Xuan asked.

”I am Hu Da. What business do you have with me?”

Hu Da’s eyes were wary, not daring to underestimate the blue eagle before him.

Although Bai Xuan had shrunk his size, the Siberian Tiger felt a threat of death from him and didn’t dare let his guard down, remaining ready at all times to handle any danger that might come.

”That’s good, it seems I haven’t found the wrong one. I am Hu Zi’s big brother; he asked me to come find you. Do you know where your mother is?”

Bai Xuan got straight to the point, simply stating his identity and intent to avoid any unnecessary misunderstanding.

Hearing this, Hu Da’s vigilance lessened slightly, but he did not fully believe Bai Xuan:

”I can’t fully believe your words based on that alone.”

”This...” This indeed made things a bit difficult for Bai Xuan.

Bai Xuan told Hu Da everything Hu Zi had described to him, as well as their past experiences. If he still didn’t believe him, there would be nothing more he could do, and he would have to leave.

”Hu Zi... is he doing well?” Hu Da finally believed Bai Xuan’s words.

”He should be doing okay. I haven’t seen him for a while myself.”

Bai Xuan told the truth; after all, it had been some time since he last saw Hu Zi and Xiao Hei, so he wouldn’t know exactly how they were doing until he found them.

”Where is he now?”

”In the Far East region of the neighboring country.”

”Are you going to take me to see him?”

Although Hu Da didn’t know where that was, he chose to trust Bai Xuan.

”Yes, but before that, we need to find your mother.”

”I haven’t seen my mother for a very long time, but I can take you to her territory to look for her.”

Hu Da was barely managing to take care of himself, struggling to survive in the forest.

Not only did he have to deal with mutated creatures, but he also had to be wary of humans.

At first, he looked down on those strange hairless monkeys, but after being attacked by guns and cannons, he gained some understanding of humans—they were terrifying.

His current injuries were caused by humans.

At the same time, Hu Da’s level was Grade 1 Rank 7, which could be considered... upper-tier in the mountain range.

But against those Grade 1 Rank 9 mutated creatures, he was no match at all.

He could only keep his distance when he saw them.

”Alright. Once your injuries stabilize, we’ll go look.”

Bai Xuan could tell at a glance where Hu Da’s injuries came from.

He wasn’t surprised by this; after all, mutated creatures like Hu Zi and his kin...

It was normal for them to be included in population control targets.

It wasn’t too bad; the wounds weren’t fatal.

”I’m fine, the task is more important. Let me take you to find my mother.”

”No, your injuries are somewhat serious; otherwise, your life will be in danger.”

Bai Xuan shook his head gently; in this state, Hu Da would likely lose his life before they even found Mother Tiger.

”But...”

”Just leave it to me. Hu Zi was like this last time too, riddled with holes by humans, and I was the one who saved him and brought him back from the brink of death.”

”Then I’ll leave it to you. Also, thank you. I will keep this kindness in my heart. If there’s ever anything you need from me in the future, just say the word, and I will do my utmost.”

Hu Da lowered his head to express his heartfelt gratitude.

This eagle had saved his younger brother and was now helping him.

Hu Da would never forget this kindness for the rest of his life.

Suddenly, the roar of engines approached.

”Oh no! They’ve caught up. Brother, let’s run!”

Hu Da’s tone was agitated.

”No need, I’ll deal with them.”

Bai Xuan flapped his wings and headed toward the direction of the roar.

”Brother, you’re no match for them, come back quickly!”

After a moment of hesitation, Hu Da still chose to follow.

An off-road vehicle sped through the forest; they were the second batch of Martial Artists.

With continuous human research, they were being injected with aura drugs to help their bodies better absorb aura and then step into the Martial Artist realm.

”Woohoo! I, Su Tian, never thought I’d see the day where I’d hunt a Siberian Tiger.”

”You’re a bit too excited.”

”Hahaha, how could I not be excited killing such a large beast?”

”I think that crocodile was even more fun to hunt.”

”True. After we kill this Siberian Tiger, we’ll go kill that crocodile.”

”By the way, I heard there’s a giant eagle in the mountains, ranked first on the Mutated Creature Leaderboard. Just thinking about it is exciting; it would be great if we could run into it.”

”You really are bold. If we met it, we wouldn’t survive even if we had ten lives.”

”Well said. After all, that Strange Eagle’s record is no joke; it even killed an entire armored escort convoy and swaggered off.”

In the off-road vehicle, there were men and women, all dressed in camouflage military uniforms, talking and laughing.

These mutated creatures were all on the control list, so they could hunt them without any psychological burden. If they were docile mutated creatures, they wouldn’t kill them but would instead bring them back to be raised as capable assistants for humanity.

At the same time, they all had cameras on them to better record the scenes of killing mutated creatures.
