Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 1051: Chapter 1047 Awa Maru

After dinner, Zhen Ji Sha excused herself and left. After the girl had gone far away, Huo Sining tidied up a bit and also went out the door, quietly boarding a bus. More than an hour later, she successfully arrived at Dongdu Port.

According to Huo Sining’s plan, she was determined to teach the old and perverted Nagayama Kaiyuki a lesson, to let him taste some real consequences. Nagayama Kaiyuki had been trapped inside her storage ring for an entire night, but thinking about how to punish this man left Huo Sining a bit troubled.

Eventually, Huo Sining simply took a ride to the seaside. She was truly disgusted by Nagayama Kaiyuki. However, simply throwing him into the sea to choke on a few mouthfuls of saltwater seemed too mild a punishment, not satisfying enough for her.

As she was lost in thought, Huo Sining caught a glimpse of a departing sea liner not far away. Her big eyes spun like marbles, and suddenly she had an idea, her lips curved into a sly smile, and she quietly approached the sea liner.

The Invisibility Skill proved to be quite useful. Huo Sining silently snuck onto the large ship, found a restroom, and immediately threw Nagayama Kaiyuki inside. She then found a way to lock the restroom from the outside using a thin wire.

Last night, Nagayama Kaiyuki had been knocked out by Huo Sining with a single palm strike and then put inside the Space. Since time stands still inside the storage ring, Nagayama Kaiyuki was still in a state of unconsciousness with no sign of waking up.

Having done all this, Huo Sining happily disembarked from the sea liner, her eyes glowing green with satisfaction. The ship was heading to South Africa, and once it set sail, Nagayama Kaiyuki would likely end up smuggled to Africa or Vietnam. The thought alone felt stimulating.

She silently lamented for Nagayama Kaiyuki’s fate, ready to head back to Sota University. Unexpectedly, after walking not far, she saw a few people at the other end of the seaport.

Among the crowd, the one wearing a smile was none other than Fujiwara Seiho, the same person who had traveled to Dongyang on the same flight as Huo Sining over two months ago.

Huo Sining remembered that when she first came to Dongyang, in the waiting lounge, Fujiwara Seiho had mentioned in conversation that his hometown was a small county in Dongdu, so seeing him at Dongdu Port was not surprising.

However, as Huo Sining passed by those people, she unexpectedly overheard Fujiwara Seiho quietly asking Etsuko Misaki, ”Are you sure this person can really find the exact location of the shipwreck?”

Ever since Huo Sining acquired the Water-Repelling Pearl and opened the Heavenly Eye, her hearing had greatly improved. Now, even the faintest sounds could be captured by her.

Therefore, even though Fujiwara Seiho lowered his voice, believing only Etsuko Misaki could hear him, he was unaware that, not two meters away, an invisible person was standing, and his words were clearly heard by Huo Sining.

If it were any other matter, Huo Sining might not have been interested, but when it came to things underwater, she had an innate sense of belonging and a mission. So, as soon as she heard Fujiwara Seiho mention the shipwreck, Huo Sining immediately felt alert, sharply sensing that Fujiwara Seiho’s appearance at Dongdu Port might have a deeper purpose.

This made Huo Sining’s eyes light up with interest, and she instinctively listened more closely.

As expected, after hearing Fujiwara Seiho’s question, Etsuko Misaki immediately lowered her head and replied with determination:

”The Awa Maru isn’t sunk in the Mindong Sea Area but in the Northwest Pacific Ocean, about 1000 kilometers southeast of Dongdu Seaport. After multiple verifications by our team, this is confirmed. However, whether what we’re searching for is actually there is still uncertain...”

As soon as these words were finished, before Fujiwara Seiho could respond, Huo Sining was left speechless in bewilderment.

She was very interested in shipwrecks, and upon hearing Fujiwara Seiho asking Etsuko Misaki about locating the wreck, Huo Sining was curious to know which sunken ship Fujiwara Seiho was aiming to salvage.

Historically, there were many recorded shipwrecks in the East Ocean Sea, especially around the end of World War II. Many Dongyang merchant vessels returning home were laden with cultural relics and treasures plundered from Huaxia and Southeast Asia, only to be buried in the sea by enemy fire.

However, Huo Sining never imagined that the ship Fujiwara Seiho intended to salvage was the mysteriously famed treasure ship, the Awa Maru.

Especially upon hearing Etsuko Misaki mentioning that the location of the Awa Maru wasn’t in Mindong but in the Northwest Pacific, Huo Sining was taken aback even further.

In fact, ever since first encountering shipwrecks, Huo Sining had been researching this field, consulting many relevant documents and reports, gaining a relatively comprehensive understanding of the Awa Maru.

Many historical records and news reports state that Awa Maru was an ocean-going tanker built in the 1940s. This tanker was 155 meters long, 20 meters wide, 12.6 meters deep, with a gross tonnage of over ten thousand tons, ranking among the world’s largest vessels at the time.

In 1945, after the end of World War II, this ship was requisitioned by the Dongyang Expeditionary Force. Packed in Singapore with a large number of Dongyang Army retreating from Southeast Asia heading back to Dongyang, it was discovered by enemy submarines in the Mindong Sea Area and subsequently torpedoed and sunk.

It is said that apart from the ship’s captain and over two thousand crew and passengers, the ship carried 40 tons of gold, 12 tons of platinum, about 40 chests of jewels, and artifacts.

Furthermore, some reports even claimed that there was a mysterious box on this ship, supposedly containing mysterious treasures brought from Huaxia by the Dongyang Expeditionary Force. Some said it contained fossils of the Yuanmou Man, while others claimed it held a Luminous Pearl stolen from the Mausoleum of Emperor Qin Shi Huang. Various fantastical speculations existed, but no one knew for certain what was in the box.

Regardless of whether the ship had this treasure chest or what the so-called treasures were, it did not prevent this giant vessel from becoming one of the most famous treasure shipwrecks in the world.

To know, the mere 40 tons of gold was enough to captivate shipwreck salvagers worldwide.

However, what puzzled everyone was that after the Awa Maru sank, it wasn’t until 1980 that Huaxia Government salvaged the wreckage, bringing the entire Awa Maru back to the surface. However, the original 40 tons of gold were nowhere to be found on this sunken ship.
