Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 1067: Chapter 1063 Rapid Battle

The exam session was just halfway through, and Huo Sining had already completed the entire set of questions.

Several teachers from the Office of Academic Affairs were watching closely to ensure that Huo Sining did not engage in any cheating.

However, Huo Sining’s rapid speed of answering was undeniable. This set of questions was something Nagayama Kaiyuki had spent nearly half a month painstakingly preparing, with the intention to trouble Huo Sining. Therefore, the difficulty of this test was well understood, even by those teachers from the Office of Academic Affairs who didn’t comprehend the bioengineering specialization.

Especially since Nagayama Kaiyuki explicitly stated that these questions were of the doctoral examination difficulty. Thus, no one expected that this little girl from Huaxia could actually answer them.

Even though the teachers from the Office of Academic Affairs couldn’t understand the questions or know if Huo Sining’s answers were correct, they could tell she wasn’t answering randomly. Observing her concise and neat handwriting, with answers written tidily and elegantly, it was clear she was well-prepared.

Moreover, Nagayama Kaiyuki was making a scene in the examination hall, constantly accusing the student of cheating, which indirectly confirmed that this girl’s answers were likely correct. Otherwise, Nagayama Kaiyuki wouldn’t be so agitated and desperate.

A group of teachers from the Office of Academic Affairs watched Huo Sining answer questions while occasionally glancing at their colleagues to gauge their reactions. Their eyes exchanged wordlessly, all showing expressions of surprise and amazement.

Had Huo Sining known what these teachers thought, she surely would have laughed so hard she’d drop her glasses.

Being well-prepared doesn’t enable a bachelor’s student to tackle doctoral level questions, right? It’s not that she’s well-prepared; it’s that her ring holds the secret.

However, Huo Sining dared not speak this outright, so she enjoyed a bit of silent satisfaction. In just one hour, she copied the standard answers without using half a sheet of scratch paper and completed the entire set of questions meticulously.

Once the exam was done, Huo Sining had no intention of continuing to sit in the Office of Academic Affairs. She stood up straight away, planning to submit her paper and leave.

Seeing Huo Sining not even bothering to check her work, Professor Aso couldn’t help but twitch his mouth. He had called upon Huo Sining to take the exam in the Office of Academic Affairs, intending to see how she would answer given the difficulty of Nagayama Kaiyuki’s questions. He also doubted that this girl could actually complete them.

But what surprised Professor Aso was that the girl continued to answer quickly here in the Office of Academic Affairs. What left Professor Aso feeling helpless was that he couldn’t figure out how exactly this girl was cheating.

Completing these doctoral-level questions in under an hour seemed nearly impossible. It would take ten or so minutes just to browse through all the questions, not to mention thinking and calculating, then writing down the processes and answers. How could she finish in an hour?

Yet Huo Sining managed to do it. She didn’t calculate; once she reviewed the questions, she immediately started answering them. No wonder Nagayama Kaiyuki made difficulties for her.

Not just Nagayama Kaiyuki, even Professor Aso was very skeptical. In such a short time, the only explanation would be if this girl had a copy of the standard answers, which she could directly fill in the test sheet; otherwise, no one could explain how she completed it so quickly.

Seeing Huo Sining complete the test and submit it so swiftly was almost arrogantly frustratingly fast, leaving Professor Aso feeling a bit uneasy. Yet, suspicions aside, without evidence, the people at the Office of Academic Affairs were helpless to act.

Seeing Huo Sining preparing to leave, Professor Aso called out: ”Student Huo, regarding today’s situation, I hope you can approach it with a calm heart. Regardless of any personal vendetta you might have with Nagayama Kaiyuki, the school still stands for justice. Avoiding cheating isn’t what’s important; what matters is having a clear conscience, don’t you think?”

Huo Sining discerned the undertone in Professor Aso’s words. This old professor likewise suspected her, yet failed to capture evidence of cheating, hence mentioning ’clear conscience’, trying to subtly admonish her.

It’s a pity that Huo Sining herself didn’t feel she was wrong. Nagayama Kaiyuki had plotted against her first behind the scenes; if she hadn’t done anything, passively letting herself be beaten and letting Nagayama Kaiyuki succeed, then she’d truly be a fool.

She resorted to cheating merely as a method to deal with Nagayama Kaiyuki. She didn’t care much for Professor Aso’s words—this was just a final assessment, no need for such moral scrutiny; speaking of conscience was downright laughable.

”Professor Aso, you’re right. Teacher Yongshan’s inability to distinguish public and private matters makes him unsuitable for teaching. In our Huaxia, teaching is a noble profession serving as engineers of human souls; if a teacher’s ethics are narrow and vile, the students they produce would have corrupt values—what good would all their knowledge be? Such students, once successful, would be terrifying both for the nation and society, acting as ticking time bombs.”

Huo Sining spoke calmly, yet her words felt like a slap to Professor Aso’s face, leaving a fiery sting.

Professor Aso immediately felt bothered; he intended to warn Huo Sining to avoid excess, yet not only did he fail, but was lectured by her instead.

”Student Huo, Dongyang teachers too serve as moral and talent exemplars, not as you perceive, sheltering those with poor ethics. Your conflict with Teacher Yongshan is his personal matter, and the school will not let it slide; also, not all our teachers are like this...”

Huo Sining waved her hand, smiling: ”I don’t care; I just want to know, given today’s events, if Teacher Yongshan refuses to apologize, what will the school do? Surely you won’t let me suffer grievances while the school lets Teacher Yongshan ignore it?”

”This...” Professor Aso was at a loss for words, ”The school will of course handle it, but if Teacher Yongshan refuses to admit fault, we can’t force him to apologize to you...”

Huo Sining smiled and said: ”I understand. If that’s the case, then there’s nothing more for me to say. If the school doesn’t act, I’ll have to come up with my own solution.”

Professor Aso frowned at her words: ”What solution are you thinking of?”

Huo Sining shrugged: ”Who knows, according to you, my vendetta with Teacher Yongshan is his personal matter. Hence, no matter what happens next, it’ll be between us personally, right? This shouldn’t concern the school, so I don’t need to report it to you, don’t you agree?”

Professor Aso’s mouth twitched, his own words were effectively used against him, leaving him speechless.

Especially when seeing the girl’s mischievous and satirical expression in her eyes, Professor Aso had an ominous premonition that Nagayama Kaiyuki might be in trouble soon.
