Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 1080: Chapter 1076: A Heart for Revenge

The hijackers were subdued, and the pilot was freed from restraints. Soon, the flight resumed its normal course and successfully made contact with the ground airport.

Because the plane was controlled and flown towards Southeast Asia, most of the fuel had been consumed. Returning to the Imperial Capital was impossible, and they could only choose the nearest landing spot, Haikou Meilan International Airport.

Once the plane was flying steadily, passengers in both economy and business class learned they had been rescued. They each felt immense relief and couldn’t help but cheer inside the cabin.

Huo Sining closed the restroom door and sat on the toilet to think over today’s events. After considering for a moment, she decided to ask Gu Xu what to do about the situation.

Taking out her cell phone, Huo Sining sent a text message to Gu Xu: ”Well, I think I got into trouble.”

Gu Xu was anxiously waiting at the airport. Knowing Huo Sining’s flight, he had been waiting early at the airport. But when the flight was halfway through, he suddenly received bad news: Huo Sining’s flight was diverted mid-air and subsequently lost contact with the ground.

This made Gu Xu frantic. He called the airport several times and even the Civil Aviation Administration, eventually alarming Lu Zhenghang.

Upon hearing that there was trouble on the plane Huo Sining was on, Lu Zhenghang’s expression changed. He immediately mobilized all sides to pay urgent attention to the missing aircraft incident.

After anxiously waiting for over two hours, just when everyone was at a loss, Gu Xu, both angry and desperate, received news from the airport in Haikou. A plane flying from Dongdu to the Imperial Capital needed to make an emergency landing at Meilan International Airport due to an urgent situation. There was an injured person and three subdued hijackers onboard who needed immediate assistance.

The plane in question was indeed the flight Huo Sining was on. Upon receiving this news, Gu Xu’s heart raced, fearing that the injured person was Huo Sining, and he immediately began making arrangements.

And at that moment, he suddenly received a text message from Huo Sining on his phone.

Gu Xu was taken aback: ”What kind of trouble? Don’t worry, even if it involves murder, I’ll cover for you. Where are you now? Are you safe?”

Upon seeing this text, Huo Sining felt much more at ease: ”I’m fine, but just now, to deal with a hijacker, I took out a gun. There were many people on the plane at the time and quite a few probably saw me with it. I’m worried someone might make a fuss over it.”

Gu Xu couldn’t help but feel nervous when he heard Huo Sining say she got into trouble, thinking it was something serious. But seeing her reply, he burst out laughing.

”Is that all? Just get ready to disembark without worry; this is no big deal.”

Huo Sining, reassured by Gu Xu’s words, couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief.

Gu Xu was never one to exaggerate. If he said it’s fine, then it certainly was. Huo Sining stopped overthinking and, after stepping out of the restroom, prepared to head back to her seat for rest.

After such an ordeal, she indeed felt a bit exhausted. However, just as she was about to reach the economy class, Sister Zhao and the safety officer called out to her: ”Miss Huo, we owe today’s success to your help!”

Huo Sining turned around, looked at the two with complex expressions, nodded, and smiled: ”No need to thank me. Like all of you, I’m on this plane, and if something truly happened, none of us could escape. When one’s life is threatened, one tends to act regardless of anything else. I acted purely out of self-preservation, so no thanks are necessary.”

Although the safety officer was saved by Huo Sining from a life-threatening situation, he had to prioritize the safety of all passengers on the plane and thus was obliged to ask questions.

”Miss Huo, although you’re a lifesaver for me, I must fulfill my duty and ask you one question: How did you bring a gun onto the plane? Also, who exactly are you, and why do you carry a firearm?”

The safety officer’s question was sharp and serious, and his gaze was filled with pressure and doubt. An ordinary person might find it hard to withstand such scrutiny.

But Huo Sining was unfazed. She gave him a faint smile and looked at the officer: ”I can’t answer that question at the moment. Of course, if you have any doubts, feel free to report it to the higher authorities. I’ll fully cooperate with your investigation.”

The officer was momentarily taken aback by her response. Seeing Huo Sining so calm, he pondered briefly before nodding: ”Alright, I’ll report this. If there’s a formal investigation, both Sister Zhao and I will answer truthfully. I hope Miss Huo won’t mind.”

Huo Sining nodded: ”I don’t mind at all; it’s your duty. You need not hide anything on my account.”

Sister Zhao hesitated to speak, but Huo Sining had no intention of lingering with the two any further. She simply waved her hand and turned away, heading back to the economy class.

When she returned to her seat, Huo Sining cast a meaningful glance at Jiang Hua, seated nearby, slightly curling her lips.

Jiang Hua felt a tightness in his chest and instinctively tucked a small video device into his sleeve.

An hour earlier, Jiang Hua had seen Huo Sining enter the business class. Driven by jealousy and curiosity, he decided to take the risk of entering the business class. His original intention was to gain some upper hand should someone get injured in business class, allowing him to one-up Huo Sining.

Unexpectedly, instead of getting a chance to prove himself, he stumbled upon Huo Sining’s secret.

Huo Sining’s confrontation with the hijacker, brandishing a gun, was precisely witnessed by Jiang Hua. Quick-witted, he immediately grasped the situation and, without a second thought, used his phone to secretly film Huo Sining firing a warning shot and injuring the hijacker’s left shoulder. Then, amid the cheers of others, he quietly returned to his seat.

Although Jiang Hua appeared scholarly, he was actually a vengeful person. After being embarrassed and insulted by Huo Sining, it was impossible for him not to hold a grudge. Seizing this footage of Huo Sining holding and firing a gun, he felt he had found his opportunity.

This Huo-surnamed intern dared to carry a gun on a flight, which was too audacious!

Jiang Hua suspected this intern was either the offspring of an official or a wealthy family; otherwise, how could she afford to wield a gun? Regardless of her background, with this video, her good days might be numbered!

As long as he uploaded this video online and sensationalized it a bit, this Huo-surnamed intern would be indefensible, unable to clear her name even if she jumped into the Yellow River!

Watching Huo Sining return to her seat and fake sleep, Jiang Hua couldn’t help but let out a cold laugh, his eyes flickering with strong anticipation and the delight of vengeance.
