Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 1060: Chapter 1056: Smuggling

Huo Sining couldn’t help but sigh inwardly. Although her recent actions were indeed targeting the people of Dongyang, it didn’t mean she could ignore life. Those divers indeed met their end at the bottom of the sea. Especially since Huo Sining had personally witnessed their tragic state, the tragedy that happened tonight couldn’t leave her indifferent.

But even Fujiwara Seiho, that employer, didn’t say anything about it. Huo Sining couldn’t possibly be foolish enough to rush into the sea to bring up their bodies. This was on the high seas, where even the police couldn’t intervene in the case of a murder.

Regarding the fate of those divers, Huo Sining could only end it with a long sigh and silently pray for them in her heart.

The yacht’s engine started, and after making a big turn, it began to sail back along the original route.

It was already the next evening when they returned to Dongdu Port. As soon as they got ashore, Fujiwara Seiho and Etsuko Misaki hurriedly disembarked and left. Huo Sining also got off the boat. Upon returning to Sota University, she heard students talking about how the campus forum was going to explode.

Huo Sining didn’t quite understand what that meant and didn’t pay much attention. She went straight towards the student dormitory.

Once inside, Hinata Chinatsu had finished work and came back. Seeing Huo Sining sitting on the bed looking exhausted, she was instantly a bit curious, ”Ningning, where did you go yesterday? Why didn’t you come back to the dormitory?”

Huo Sining smiled, ”I had something to take care of that got delayed. You came back so early today?”

Hinata Chinatsu nodded, ”Nara-kun asked me to return. It’s almost time for final exams, so I need to find some time to review my subjects.”

Upon hearing about the finals, Huo Sining thought about the unfortunate Professor Nagayama Kaiyuki, whom she had thrown onto the liner heading to South Africa. Her eyes flickered, and a slight smile appeared at the corner of her mouth, silently wondering where he might be now with the ship, perhaps in Indonesia?

While Huo Sining was thinking about this, Hinata Chinatsu suddenly said, ”Speaking of the final exams, do you know what happened yesterday?”

Huo Sining shook her head, ”What happened?”

Hinata Chinatsu had a peculiar look on her face, seemingly very puzzled about this:

”You don’t know? It’s about that Yongshan teacher from our biology department, the one who had a conflict with you last time, remember? I don’t know what happened, but yesterday during a routine inspection at Dongdu Port, while checking passengers, they found Yongshan teacher attempting to stowaway on a liner about to leave! Yongshan teacher was even arrested, causing a huge commotion, attracting reporters. In the end, Yongshan insisted he was knocked out and tied onto the ship by someone, but he couldn’t say who did it.”

Upon hearing this, Huo Sining was stunned. Her initial intention was to have the liner get rid of Nagayama Kaiyuki, but she hadn’t anticipated a police inspection. However, although the plan wasn’t implemented smoothly, the outcome seemed even more interesting than she had imagined.

A sly and playful glint flashed in Huo Sining’s eyes, and she eagerly asked, ”What happened then?”

Hinata Chinatsu shrugged, ”Then Professor Yoshiyama was taken away by the police and directly sent to the police station to cooperate with the investigation. This was put online, and the campus forum was lively today, with the front page filled with posts discussing the incident of Professor Yoshiyama.”

Huo Sining found it amusing, ”Really? No wonder I heard students discussing that the campus forum was going to explode on my way back. So it was about this. Haha, such an entertaining situation can’t be missed. I must go and check it out thoroughly.”

Saying that, Huo Sining couldn’t even bother to rest. She eagerly brought out her computer, logged into her campus forum account immediately after turning it on.

The campus forum was indeed lively, with dozens of posts on the front page discussing the incident involving Nagayama Kaiyuki. A large group of people, ever curious, discussed the arrest of Nagayama Kaiyuki, especially his shouting in front of reporters’ cameras that he was kidnapped and claimed he wasn’t a stowaway.

”What was Professor Yoshiyama trying to do by stowing away to South Africa? Was he planning to dig for diamonds?”

”Hahaha, who played this prank, kidnapping Professor Yoshiyama onto the ship, that’s too much!”

”He’s no longer a professor, thank you. I don’t know who this Yongshan teacher offended to be treated like this!”

”Didn’t you see the police response? They retrieved the surveillance footage, which didn’t capture anyone kidnapping him onto the ship. He must have sneaked on board himself!”

”Exactly, didn’t the police say so? When they found him, he was hiding in the toilet, and the door was locked from the inside. Who kidnaps someone without tying them up and then locks the toilet door? Is this something a kidnapper would do?”

”What would a kidnapper want with kidnapping a lecturer? As far as I know, Yongshan teacher doesn’t come from a wealthy family and has no background. A kidnapper wouldn’t gain anything from kidnapping him, right?”

”Being knocked out and remaining unconscious for a whole night? I saw Professor Yoshiyama lively, not at all like someone who had been kidnapped.”

”I find it more like he was possessed. Yongshan teacher said he was working late in the office the night before and was knocked unconscious. When he woke up, he found himself on the ship. But the school’s entrance surveillance didn’t capture anything suspicious. Unfortunately, the hallway cameras were broken, otherwise, they might have captured some clues.”

”Yongshan must be lying. I bet he did something to offend someone, which led to this happening to him. I don’t think he’s telling the truth.”

”...”

The campus forum was filled with people playing detective, and Huo Sining watched with delight, able to imagine Nagayama Kaiyuki’s expression upon waking up in that toilet to find himself on a ship.

He was indeed innocent, but there was no way he could tell the police that he was knocked out while attempting to assault a female student. He didn’t even dare to mention Zhen Ji Sha’s name, and he truly didn’t know who knocked him out. When the police pressed for answers, he couldn’t explain himself.

This unfortunate situation could only be his misfortune. Nagayama Kaiyuki was held at the police station for two days before being bailed out by his family. Feeling disgraced, the first thing Nagayama Kaiyuki thought of after getting out of the police station was to find Zhen Ji Sha to inquire about the situation.

”Zhen Ji, I drank too much that day and acted inappropriately towards you. I apologize, but can you tell me what really happened that day? Who attacked me?”

Nagayama Kaiyuki wanted to find out who orchestrated this, and the only people in the office that day were him and Zhen Ji Sha. Since he was knocked out, the only person who might know the truth would be Zhen Ji Sha.
